Samanea Beach Resort: "Great place"
The pier is the star attraction, best place in Kep to experience sunset and because of the small amount of rooms available the resort is never crowded, there are always available beds around the pool. All in all affording a feeling of exclusivity rarely experienced at larger resorts.Misool Eco Resort: "Even better the second time around!"
"My wife and I first visited MER in 2013 (if interested, see my review dated July 9, 2013) and returned for our second visit in February of this year. Our observations: In the three years between visits, the fish life has continued to rebound in a remarkable fashion thanks to MER's No Take Zone and ranger patrols of that area. There is so much to see on every dive site. Brilliant colors abound, along with critters galore, sharks and mantas, too! Diving was the focus of our visit and we found the dive operation to be efficiently and expertly managed by Calvin and his support staff. The food was once again plentiful and delicious. A change since last time was the switch during lunchtime from buffet style to family style, where heaping plates of food were passed around each table. Great conversations were had daily when the guests came together at meal time. The grounds are clean and well maintained, the staff helpful and friendly, the spa services are varied and most satisfying and while my wife and I have traveled extensively around the globe, we found ourselves more relaxed on this trip than anywhere before. Marit and Andrew have a spectacular vision for this place and continue to look for ways to conserve and protect this beautiful part of the world, while allowing guests to come along for the ride. What a privilege for those who visit. We're already planning to return in 2018 and we can't wait to once again see the friends we've made at MER. Dave and Elaine"Reverie Siam: "Top hotel"
Fabulous rooms. Fabulous staff. Great food. Fun town. We stayed 4 nights and couldn't believe our luck. Sumptuous breakfasts fantastic shuttle to town anytime. Nice swimming pool. Beautiful room and bathroom all with scenic views Reverie is almost certainly the besthotel in Paitalabgaon castle: "Family owned Castle in the Indian countryside"
A group of four friends on the way from Jaipur to Ranthambore stopped at this magical place. It was like stepping back into time, when life was slower, and more elegant. The hotel is the generations old great-house of a noble family from Jaipur, who also happen to be some of the best polo players in India! The grounds include a polo field, gorgeous pool, and lots of little paths that criss-cross the gardens. The family treats you like a guest and like a member of the family — while we were there we were treated to a beautiful supper on the grass in the late afternoon sun — magical! All the rooms have been renovated and have amazing marble floors and fabulous baths, each with its own unique series of nooks and windows with amazing views of the countryside. The little village that is just outside the gates of the castle is charming too. What a delightful contrast to all the business that is India. A great place to relax and experience life at an Indian family 'home.'Locavore: "A memorable dinner in Bali"
Hands down one of the best restaurants in Asia, if not the world. We had the tasting menu paired with cocktails. Every item is delicious and has story to it. Listening to chef explaining the ingredients and how each menu is cooked is part of the fun. It’s like a culinary to the Indonesian cuisine with modern interpretations. If there’s a Michelin guide here in Indonesia, Locavore deserves at least 2 stars!!Tugu Lombok: "Authentic Lombok getaway"
The Tugu resort is a magical place, filled with impressive architecture, artwork and relics of the island's past. The buildings are placed in various parts of this sprawling resort, which ensures that it feels quiet and relaxed, even when fully booked. The rooms are incredible: we stayed with a family of 4 (two teenagers) in a two bedroom Swarga villa with 2 outside bathrooms: the rooms cannot be faulted. They have character and individuality and still all modern amenities. The private beach offers some paddling, snorkling and kayak opportunities and obviously the Gili islands are close for an excursion. The only downside to the resort is the restaurant facilities: when we were there in August, only the main restaurant was open and the choice on the menu is limited and the quality is average (this resort needs a separate fine dining option if it is to keep attracting travellers in a gradually more competitive Lombok market), which is why we "eloped" to have dinner in the Lombok Lodge. Staff in the restaurant area is moreover not trained or motivated to the standards required of such an establishment. This being said, the location and rooms trump these improvement areas, which is why we still give it a five star rating.Samanea Beach Resort: "Great place"

"We had the pleasure of visiting Tugu Lombok in December with our 17 month old. It was such an easy place to stay with a toddler - beautiful beach out front, two very quiet pools, grass throughout the resort, daybeds (as well as high chairs) in the restaurant, and amazing staff that our baby adored. the resort is spread over enough of an area that if our little girl was in a boisterous mood we could take her to burn off her energy somewhere out of the way of other guests. We enjoyed breakfast on the resort dragon boat to watch the sunrise, and a horse and cart ride through local villages to watch the sun set. My husband snorkelled out the front of the resort while my daughter and i played on the beach and my daughter learned to moo from the cows next door!. The breakfasts were amazing, architecture and decoration really gorgeous and experiences on offer really interesting. Although it was perfect for a family with a toddler, we'd have enjoyed it even more if travelling as a couple as we'd have been able to do so much more! We visited the groups restaurant in Jakarta as well, based on how good our experience was at this resort. We look forward to visiting more of their properties when next in Indonesia and couldn't recommend them more highly to anyone."Supanniga Cruise: "Probably the best stylish dinner cruise in Bangkok!!!"
"Love the cruise design, so chic and stylish. Not way traditional Thai like other cruises. I especially love the lounge area at the front of the boat where you can chill, sip champagne, and enjoy Bangkok's nighttime river view. For the food, it comes with 6-course authentic Thai food and a glass of Taittinger champagne as a welcome drink. And I must say the taste is really Thai, unlike some other cruises that compromises way to much to suit foreigners' palate. The service is top-notch, very attentive and friendly. The cruise manager, Khun Joe, is the real gem. He helped us taking pictures and we loved the wine he recommended. All in all, a must do if are into river cruising."Inle Princess Resort: "Paradise on Water"
"I spent in family one of our best New Year eve's celebrations at Princess Inle. Rooms are gorgeous, really luxurious with all amenities and on built on pillars. Breakfast is varied, generous and fresh. The bar is cosy and romantic. Motorboats are even asked to mute their engine a 100 meters before reaching the dock, so guests are not annoyed by the noise. Guests are truly at the center of management's attention."
