Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Hôtel Parfait"
"Excellent hôtel-concept.
"We went on a Les Rives Cruise (two day cruise) and this was our overnight stop. I cannot fault this place. The swimming pool is wonderful and it's right next to the Mekong so you have wonderful unspoilt views. While swimming I spotted a kingfisher (or similar) just perched nearby. We enjoyed some lovely French wine with dinner and the food was very nice. I am vegetarian and I wouldn't say it's exceptional but there are enough options. The live music at dinner was also a wonderful touch. Breakfast was amazing - but a big risk of over ordering. The small cakes on arrival and by the pool were a lovely touch and tasted great. Our room had a wonderful view over the Mekong. I very much wished we'd stayed longer and it is the perfect place to relax. It's also a relatively small hotel so never feels crowded."Villa Song Saigon: "Magic amongst the Mayhem"
"Villa Song is on the river away from the manic mayhem of Saigon, we loved it. I would not liked to have stay in Saigon itself, its very noisy, dirty and smelly at Villa Song we had the best of both worlds. A boat takes guest back and forth to the city so its easy to get to any of the sights fairly easily. It suitated in an area that has a number of International Schools and there are some reasonalbe resturants and and shop. We chose to eat at the hotel as we were only there for three nights and it was a joy to sit by the river and watch life go by. The food was delicious and resonably priced for good quality fare. Our room had a small balcony and was very comfortable. Breakfast was delcious and plentiful. An excellent stay."Slow Villas and Spa: "Fantastic Slow"
"No doubt they are the “#1 of 148 Specialty Lodging in Gili Air” here. Everything & everyone was great. You got to try it out yourself to feel that kind of amazing experience that everyone here were talking about. Thank you Slow Team for the fantastic stay."Rachamankha: "Masterpiece"
"We stayed 5 days for our anniversary and we enjoyed our time staying in this hotel. 1. Convenient location, only 20 mins drive from airport and 10 mins drive to night bazzar. 2. Artful structure, the hotel itself is the masterpiece and it is covered with collectibles of the owner, orchids are everywhere, you must visit their library 3. Peaceful atmosphere, quite & clean room, it is a great place for relax and stress relief. Friendly staffs (and their GM Paul Walker) are so helpful. Free wifi available for me to stay connected to the world. 4. Great chefs, delicious breakfast (no words), dinner is even better (must try their Myanmar curry and mango sticky rice wrap)"The River Resort: "Perfect Accommodation"
My husband and I stayed there for 4 nights whilst touring through Laos. It has the perfect location being situatyed n the Mekong River. From 5pm to 7pm cocktails are cheaper. The service and the food was excellent. You could even eat down in the garden although a little dark with dim lighting but still very nice.David’s Kitchen: "Simply The Best in Chiang Mai"
"Its difficult to add to the already outstanding reviews of this restaurant. But I shall try: David has obviously devoted his life to this project and it is for him a lot more than a business. The menu has so many interesting, original dishes that it took us a while to even make a choice. Everything we chose was cooked to perfection, including the prawn ravioli in lobster sauce and the gnocchi with mushroom cream. Ultimately, what makes any restaurant special is not just the food but the entire experience; the ambience (smart but refreshingly relaxed), decor, staff attitude, efficiency, etc.. This is where David's kitchen excels because the attention to detail is apparent in every aspect. His passion for this restaurant is infectious. You can feel it when you chat to him, on the radiant faces of his staff and in the excellent reviews written by numerous customers. The prices are higher than average for Chiang Mai but this establishment is unique in this city and represents excellent value. A restaurant of this calibre would cost much more in Europe or the US. My daughter chose to celebrate her 18th birthday here. Thank you to David and his team for making it such a memorable evening for us. Highly recommended without hesitation."Dewakan: "still good….very good"
"fusion food.. east meets west. using all the local herbs and spices to produce fine dining atmosphere. amazing and impressive. location could be better but it is nice to leave the city area for such a treat. well worth a try... well done chefs! keep it up."Manukan Island Resort: "Just best!"
"It's an amazing place! Peaceful, quiet! Excellent staff, organized such a great bday celebration! Resort has kind of ""a private beach"" with umbrellas and chairs. Houses are away one from each other, so you have a great view from your accommodation. Food at the resort is just the best - the best one I've tried in Malaysia! And very inexpensive! Prices for accommodation is cheaper during the weekdays. To get to the island you can by boat from a pier in KK."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A beautiful place, not to be missed"
I was really looking forward to our stay at 4 Rivers Floating Lodge, and I wasn't disappointed. The staff were so welcoming, the tents immaculate and the food superb. We were lucky in that it was very quiet when we visited, but it was also rather wet! However, the service more than made up for the weather and, as I have already said, the food was excellent.
