Villa Mathis: "The Proposal Of A Lifetime"

Review by: Kyle M | Source: Trip Advisor
"I was lucky enough to have known just how beautifully romantic and special Villa Mathis is in Bali already and decided it would be the perfect location for my proposal to my beautiful fiancé in AUG 2017. Bruno and his beautiful wife were ever so kind to create the most magically romantic setting in one of their private gardens for this special occasion. Seriously they went above and beyond anyone could hope for, from table setting to the fairy lights, to the love hearts hanging in the trees, to the white silk walkway and candles to the table, to the fire dancers that put on a show for us. Everything was absolutely perfect and i am forever in grateful for provided this for our special occasion. I cannot forget the manager of Villa Mathis either for all of his help and time he dedicated to arranging all of the extras things for us and also being the one to secretly put the ring in the glass of champagne for my toast and proposal. =) The rooms and villas and gardens and pool and restaurant and food and staff of this resort are truly amazing and something you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Once again i cannot speak highly enough of this resort, the owners, the manager, the staff. It is truly a romantic place to stay and overtime my fiancé and i celebrate our engagement we will also be thinking of how Burno and the team and Villa Mathis made this more special then i could of ever hoped for. Forever grateful. =)"

Nimmu House: "4 nights of sheer bliss"

Review by: VagabondOnTheMove | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent a bulk of our stay in Ladakh at Nimmu House and it truly was the best decision ever. We stayed in one of the tents which was super spacious and extremely comfortable. The property itself is a picture-book-kinda pretty and we just loved hanging out at the patio or napping on the hammocks. But what makes Nimmu feel more like a home than a house is the fantastic team running the place. From the manager to the chefs to the wait-staff down to the housekeeping and gardeners, everybody is just really nice and welcoming and ready to help if needed. The best part about our stay here however, was the food. After some pretty average meals in the rest of Ladakh, the meals at Nimmu were just fantastic. Do yourself a favour and don't book just a single night here. Ideally, once you're done sightseeing and roadtripping, stop by here for at least 3 days of R&R...you won't regret it. The only one piece of feedback we had for the management/ owners was to invest in better power back up. With frequent power cuts, it's a must."

The Island Lodge: "Shangri-La on the Mekong"

Review by: jdmcg47 | Source: Trip Advisor
"This hotel enjoys an idyllic location on the banks of the Mekong & everything about it is right. Our room provided a great view of the river & waking up to the dawn chorus of roosters crowing & the gentle murmur of river traffic was a delight. We were then able to move to the balcony & watch the sun rise. Our spotlessly clean room was spacious & comfortable with copious quantities of bamboo in keeping with the location. The bed was large & comfortable with an attached shower room & separate toilet. The food at both dinner & breakfast was superb & my wife commented that her quiche & salad was one of the best she had ever eaten. I still remember the exquisite chocolate fondant. Breakfast was cooked to order so we could have as much as we wanted & nothing was wasted. Service throughout our visit was exemplary. Outside, the hotel has a good-sized swimming pool & sauna with ample sun loungers, complete with parasols, towels & sun hats, for all the guests so there is no need to arrive early & reserve one. We recommend this hotel unreservedly for all ages."

Villa Song: "Wonderful Christmas break"

Review by: pleneuf | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed 4 days at the end of December at the hotel. It was a very pleasant experience. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the free boat shuttle to district one. A nice way to avoid traffic and a great view on the skyline.

Tugu Lombok: "Second time…. in Hotel Tugu… even better"

Review by: Ignacio C | Source: Trip Advisor
"My wife and I had the chance to come back to Hotel Tugu, in Lombok... You know that when the first time is memorable, your expectations for the second time might become a bad reference. This is not the case in this hotel. We planned, this time, more than three days of stay... this time it was a week!. We discovered some new and wonderful corners of the hotel; we walked along the wide beach... almost alone, just some fishermen coming back or reparing their nets.... that's only can be experienced over there... all connected to the hotel. The staff remembered our names and, even the type of breakfast we used to have.... that's only can be expected in Hotel Tugu Lombok. Palm trees, green grass and white sand... together with the coral reefs at walking distance! !!.... all the staff led by Elly and Henry do an outstanding job. ... you gave us a lot of happiness!... Thank you all for your warming care.... I hope other travelers are going to have the chance to enjoy as we did."
