Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Beautiful resort and great hospitality"
My family of 3 stayed at Rice and Zen over the Christmas. Michael is a great host. Breakfast on the patio overlooking the rice fields and the mountains in the backdrop was a great way to start the day. The dining recommendations from Michael and nearby sights were spot on!Arumdalu: "An Amazing Place"
Love the beach, love the service. Food gets a little expensive compared to outside. However they plant everything, from pepper to vegetables. Love the hydroponic system. Do go for the island hopping tour. it's a blast!Tugu Lombok: "Art, history, and romance” sums it up perfectly"
"This resort exceeds the mantra that its owner established: ""The art, history, and romance of Indonesia."" My husband and I kicked off our Indonesia honeymoon here. We are sad that we started with the best, and did not stay longer. As city dwellers, we desperately needed relaxation away from crowds of high stressed people, and this was the perfect tranquil paradise. To sum it up: -#1 is the natural beauty and private luxury of the property. It's not a huge, tourist-packed resort. It feels like home. -Our private villa was bigger than our apartment, with its own plunge pool 10 feet away from the beach. The indoor/outdoor bathroom was interesting and felt like living with nature (don't be scared of ants). Definitely use the mosquito coils outside. -The service is top notch. The staff knew us by name and our daily itinerary; they swiftly responded to every need (transportation requests, lost item on the beach, last minute massage appointments, you name it). They even surprised us the last evening of our stay with a romantic artistic display in our villa. :) -The authenticity of the vast art collection, history, culture, and staff is very cool. You can learn so much about Indonesia history and culture from reading the dining menus or talking to the staff, most of whom are locals. -The food is amazing. The rich multi-asian cultural influences combined with local organic ingredients equates to delicious surprises at every meal. They also serve intercontinental cuisine perfectly. Don't miss the daily tea hour with adorable complimentary desserts! -The private beach is mostly empty and ocean water is super warm. Swim out to the hotel's floating raft to snorkel on the astoundingly clear reef. -Massages at the spa are awesome. You could get used to this! There were very few things to look out for: -Mosquitoes in dark places/at dinner (the hotel provides complimentary mosquito lotion) -Wifi is spotty in some areas (best in dining pavilions) -Don't try to swim/snorkel during low tide (you can walk at knee-deep water for a mile out!) Amazing stay. We can't say enough about our stay and hope that we can return soon!"Villa Mathis: "Wonderful Stay"
Such a serenity and lovely place to chill... <3 Perfect Romantic evening for our honeymoon! Would have love to stay more in this hotel before leaving! Thank you so much for everything! It was a real pleasure!!Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Impressive, not only with the hotel but also what it stands for."
I believe the facilities and service is already spoken for, but what is really exceptional is the values with which it has been built. All the waste from the toilet is filtered by plants and then released into Lake Inle which it is built on. I had the privilege to see the site where food waste is being processed to make compost for the plants in the gardens, which happen to be the source of ingredients for the hotel restaurant. From my observation, the staff are treated very well and deeply respect the founder of the Inle Heritage Foundation, whose motto is people over passion, over profit. Although I mentioned that the services have already been recommended enough, the restaurant deserves a mention. I hate bread and I had the first piece of bread I like at Inle Heritage. The Island Lodge: "Wonderful honeymoon stay at the Island Lodge"
We stayed at the island lodge for one night to give us an opportunity to explore the Mekong delta. Our stay was very relaxing, the room was beautiful and very clean, the pool and sauna facilities were also pleasant and relaxing. We opted to go on a tour to the unicorn and Phoenix islands nearby in My Tho, guided by a member of the hotel staff. The tour was great for finding out more about the Mekong delta culture, and we bought some of the local coconut sweets and honey to take home too!Maduzi Hotel: "Best and Super cozy hotel around schumvit road"
"I am KHUN Kim who stayed for 4 days from January 26th to 30th. As with the last visit, all the staff were friendly and the hotel conditions were excellent. I do not know if you remember me, but I stayed on the M floor. I guess Especially three staff members will remember me. It was a good memory, and I will visit again next time. In particular, can the three people contact me? I would like to have a small present for the next visit. I would like to write a name of staff members ... even though I asked for a name, but I forgot hahaha. I hope to see you soon. MR KIM who loves bkk in Korea. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Reverie Siam: "Clearly the best hotel in Pai"
We spent an incredibly relaxing 2 nights in a family room which had a gorgoeus view of the mountains. It was a weekend break from Bangkok and our 4 young kids. The room was spacious with lovely decor and furniture, lots of thought went into the decoration. In a land of hard beds, the king sized bed was by far 1 of the most comfortable. The location was ideal, next to the river and just far enough out of town so it was quiet but without the sounds of dogs or roosters. The lush landscaping was beautiful and made the setting even more private and serene. Also recommend the restaurant for ambiance, service and food quality. Service was 5 star, the staff were always helpful, welcoming and full of smiles. We soent a half day looking for a restaurant for lunch and thereby visiting many of the other hotels and was extremely happy that we chose the Reverie for our weekend getaway. I may consider bringing my kids next time although it has such a lovely serene atmosphere that i wouldn't want to disturb the zen of the resort.Locavore: "Exceptional"
"Recommend bubs chef friend as the place to go if you love top end food and service. WOW he didn't let us down . Booked the 7 course kind and ended up doing 13 courses. Outstanding food and professional wait staff. I'm going to say it out loud. "" this restaurant overall out did my Ramsay's experience on Hospital rd London"". This is truly a food lovers total package . Not cheap but in saying that what is produced here isn't cheap wear ever you are. Thank you Locavore for an amazing lunch. PS. Cocktails are pretty good to boot"Sukoon Houseboat: "Perfect place to unwind"
I visited the Sukoon houseboat during the current difficulties. We had been hesitant to go but decided to go for it and I am really glad we did as we had an amazing time. We were collected from the airport and taken straight to the houseboat: the streets were deserted and there was a soldier presence but once you get to Dal Lake, which is quite a way from the old city, everything was brilliant. The boat is beautiful and the staff are amazing. The food is fantastic. We went out on a shikara ride on the lake, visited gardens and went walking in the hills near the lake: our guide was excellent. There were a few things we couldn't do because of the difficulties but this didn't impact on the overall enjoyment of the trip. The lake is just as beautiful as I had imagined. We really enjoyed ourselves and I would highly recommend it.
