Manukan Island Resort: "Paradise"
We booked for one night as a last minute treat during our stay in Borneo. We were overwhelmed by what we got. We originally booked the cheapest double room, but when we arrived and was shown to our room, even though we were before the check in time, we were flabbergasted that we were given a beach villa over looking the private beach and sea. The room was luxurious, the staff were attentive and our over night stay was romantic. The only problem we encountered was the restaurant staff, who forget to bring us our drinks and the food wasn't that great. Over all a fabulous place for that romantic get away.Villa Song Saigon: "Fantastic place by the river in district2 stay three times"

"We just stayed in the Island Lodge for a night and we only regret one thing: that we didn't stay a bit longer. The location is simply gorgeous, but we especially enjoyed the special feel this family owned hotel has. Compared to some of the other luxurious hotels and resorts in Vietnam, you really feel at home at the Island Lodge. This is all thanks to Francoise and Michel and their fantastic team. We also had a great dinner here at very reasonable prices. Finally, the massages we got were by far the best we had during our stay in Vietnam. We can only recommend this place if you are around Saigon. Escape the busy city life and come to relax here for a few nights. You will not regret it. As for us: we will be back!"Tugu Lombok: "Authentic Lombok getaway"
The Tugu resort is a magical place, filled with impressive architecture, artwork and relics of the island's past. The buildings are placed in various parts of this sprawling resort, which ensures that it feels quiet and relaxed, even when fully booked. The rooms are incredible: we stayed with a family of 4 (two teenagers) in a two bedroom Swarga villa with 2 outside bathrooms: the rooms cannot be faulted. They have character and individuality and still all modern amenities. The private beach offers some paddling, snorkling and kayak opportunities and obviously the Gili islands are close for an excursion. The only downside to the resort is the restaurant facilities: when we were there in August, only the main restaurant was open and the choice on the menu is limited and the quality is average (this resort needs a separate fine dining option if it is to keep attracting travellers in a gradually more competitive Lombok market), which is why we "eloped" to have dinner in the Lombok Lodge. Staff in the restaurant area is moreover not trained or motivated to the standards required of such an establishment. This being said, the location and rooms trump these improvement areas, which is why we still give it a five star rating.Maison Polanka: "Spoil yourself"
"This place was top notch. It was beautiful and quiet and the rooms were perfect. But what makes it top notch was all of the detail and the way the staff anticipate your needs. For example, we mentioned we might take their free bicycles into town so when we later left our room we noticed they had set out two bikes but also put cold water and a map in the baskets for us. You can book drivers/tuk tuks/guides through the hotel for temple visits and they always sent water and cold towels with the drivers- much appreciated in that heat! The hotel food was the best we had in the city. There are only five rooms so it feels personal but still offers plenty of privacy. The pool is the perfect place to hang out in the hot afternoons (or any time) and the entire compound makes you feel like you are in an oasis. The staff could not have been friendlier or more thorough. This place was worth every penny. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Outstanding Service and a Cozy setting"
The point that strikes you the most is how everyone at Sea Dance is courteous and appear eager to assist in every way they can - it is a few minutes drive from Chewang Beach and that adds to the attractionTiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "WOW!"
"What an incredible place to stay with stunning mountain views. We were looked after wonderfully by the staff and also Marcus. We had some wonderful bird spotting walks around the grounds and found out lots of interesting information about the local way of life. Food was delicious, I think it is usually a buffet lunch but there were was only 2 other people staying our first night and lunch and breakfast was served to our table. The mountain views in the morning were outstanding (we had the benefit of wonderful weather on our first morning there). This really is a beautiful place to stay if you want peace and quiet and mountain views. Room Tip: Incredible mountain views"Reverie Siam Pai: "BEAUTIFUL! AMAZING STAFF! SERENE! RIVER & MOUNTAIN VIEWS"
We stayed for 5 days, occupying to of the large bungalows for our family of 5. we loved the gourmet food, the available shuttle into town, the rustic/antique vibe, the GORGEOUS ROOMS!!, the bean bag riverside loungers . The staff was amazing. Joy is an excellent person to recommend fun and exciting day tours. We've been to Thailand 8x, also living both in CR and Bangkok: this is by far one of the most kept up, luxury resort we've stayed in. Many couples were there for their honeymoons (we see one another at breakfast). Breakfast is HUGE and very very gourmet! Nice background music: Billie Holiday-ish and 40's vibe. They do not play annoying Thai Christmas songs. (been in an MK lately?! ugh) This resort was Amazing! The owner treated us to sparkling wine to celebrate my husbands 50th. The staff were amazing and their English is top notch. We cannot wait to come back! It keeps Pai town civilized . We also liked that we weren't required to purchase Christmas dinner (which most Thai resorts do) bc we love going out for Thai. (but if you do want true Christmas dinner it looked amazing). You must take the shuttle to Pai Canyon for the sunset, the rafts to the caves, and the rice field walks. If you come at Christmas please recognize it can get down to 45 Fahrenheit at night in northern Thailand . The staff gave us wool blankets to use each day (60-70 farenheit) while we sat in the common area (dining area) and read all day. Lovely people !Satri House: "Warm and welcoming staff"
Initially a little complicated to understand the various buildings in this lovely garden, but everything was so conveniently located in this beautiful property and lovely garden. It felt very much like a large family house and the staff were gentle, welcoming and very very accommodating. We were lulled into the Loatian mellow style in comfort and beauty.Supanniga Eating Room: "Tasty"
The food that we ordered all good and tasty. The green curry is delicious and the pork meat also tender and excellent. The place is small and tend to be crowded but i think that common as many people also read good review of this place. The place is close to our stay in Somerset and easy to find.
