Gorgeous retreat along the Mekong River; exceptional staff

Gorgeous retreat along the Mekong River. We stayed in one of the garden bungalows and had such a peaceful and lovely time after our frenetic few days in Ho Chi Minh City. The hotel grounds are beautiful with wonderful landscaping of the lush, natural greenery. Breakfast is included and is taken in the open air lounge looking onto the pool and the river. The pool itself is beautiful with plenty of loungers and a good mix of sun and shade, and you can watch the Mekong River drift by as you enjoy a drink from the bar a few steps...

Beautiful hotel in Paro, Bhutan

This is a beautiful hotel in the magical and serene Paro valley in Bhutan, a place as faraway as one can imagine and more than a bit like the fictional Shangri La. Constructed in the architectural style of the country, it is a gorgeous property, with lots of open space. Rooms are located in about eight separate buildings, four to six rooms per building, all with balconies facing the nearby river. Unique and exciting experience!

Papua Paradise was a unique and exciting experience, jungle meets the sea. The bungalows over the water were something I’ve always wanted to experience. The bed was very comfortable and mosquito nets were put up every morning and put down again at night. Every night, the frogs would sing loudly and the birds would wake you in the morning. Excellent timing since there was so much great snorkeling to experience. I especially liked all the hooks in the room for hanging clothing, etc, as well as the drying rack on the porch. Hospitality and Location

Exceptional location and warm hospitality. Our family of four booked one of the river suites and one of the garden rooms for 4 days over Christmas. First off, the property is a gem in the heart of the historic area. It makes it very easy to walk to many of the top sites, take the ferry, see the flower and medicine markets and more. A wildlife and village immersion with hardworking crew!

What a totally amazing experience for us all. We saw proboscis monkeys, trekked like intrepid adventurers into the jungle, and saw a beautiful adult male. We rescued a water monitor lizard from a fishing trap, saw river otters and caught our own fish. All of this was made completely wonderful by our guide, Made, who bought the adventurer out in us all. The boys absolutely loved him, and he was knowledgeable, entertaining, and very accommodating of all our needs, including getting out beds for us to watch shooting stars.
