Villa Song Saigon: "Sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle"
My sister and I ducked over from Singapore for two full days.We were always treated like we were the only ones there. In fact we were the only ones on the motel speedboat on both days in and out of the city at the times we requested to leave and get picked up,maybe busier in the high season. We felt we got to feel the entire vibe of Ho Chi Minh City between the taxi from the airport, the boat into town and nearly two full days just walking(without getting run over) around. The pool is great and the day spa compared to Aud standards was more than affordable .It may not be the cheapest accomodation in town but treat yourselfSEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "A beautiful restaurant"
"I only managed to try the top 2 recommended restaurants in Yangon - Seeds and Le Planteur and have to say that Seeds is number 1 for good reasons. Everything in this restaurant is beautiful - the food, decor and grounds which fronts the lake with lotus flowers. It’s perhaps better to come before night falls in order to fully appreciate the surroundings. The place is a little difficult to find and signage not very prominent so do ensure that your driver knows it before you set off. Food is gorgeous and the service is good and staff cheerful. If you only time to visit one restaurant in Yangon, make it this one."Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Wonderful food, setting & service"
Don't know why this is not No. 1 restaurant in Siem Reap. Have been 3 times in last 5 months and tried many other upmarket restaurants, this is by far the best. Flavours of Cambodian food explode in your mouth in a wonderful tasting presentation by the French chef. Other Cambodian restaurants try and some are very good but this is miles ahead of all others. Can't wait to go back.Rachamankha: "Inner city oasis"
"Rachamankha is more than a boutique hotel – it is an architectural master piece and a very comfortable oasis right in the middle of Chiang Mai`s hustle and bustle. The rooms are nicely decorated in a very tasteful mix of antiques from different parts and time periods of the world. Everything has been done in a very comfortable way. Attention to detail is visible all around the grounds. During our 7 night´s stay at the Rachamankha we enjoyed the view to the pool from our room and considering that it is located in the middle of the city it is very quiet during the night. The breakfast at the elegant restaurant consisted of a delicious variety of cooked dishes from the menu and a small buffet. The dinner menu offered a wide range of international and Thai dishes which tasted well but not outstanding. To avoid misunderstandings it would be perfect if the waiters would speak a little bit more English."Rachamankha: "Enchanting hotel"
We stayed for two nights and loved the peace and tranquility this special hotel provided. It is located in the Old City, and thus is slightly removed from the bustle of central Chiang Mai. Really the attraction here alongside the quiet is the extraordinary architecture. The property's attention to detail in design and decor is one of a kind. If these features are not what you are seeking this may not be the hotel for you but if so it is a special and unique stay. The Cabochon Hotel: "The Best Exotic Cabochon Hotel"
"Have spent five fabulous days at the Cabochon Hotel and can't recommend it highly enough. The staff are amazing. From Rin at the front desk to the wait staff they are so friendly and helpful. We even had the head cook in the kitchen show us some special recipes for the delicious chillie paste. The Hendricks G&T were the best! The restaurant is authentic Thai food beautiful prepared and presented. 5 star. The hotel is exquisitely decorated in plantation colonial style. Every detail is considered. The showers are fantastic. Loved every minute of my stay with the cabochon Hotel."The Island Lodge: "Everything you need plus more"
"We stayed here as part of the Les Rives Mekong Delta two day tour and found the Island Lodge a wonderful experience . On arrival we were greeted by Michel and given a refreshing welcome drink .Our room looked over the pool and the river and was decorated in an airy tropical relaxed style . There were guidebooks and magazines on the desk which I thought was a nice touch , although we didn't have time to read them ! After a swim in the gorgeous pool , where we found towels and sun hats thoughtfully laid out , we headed downstairs for dinner .The bar area was lovely and the staff very polite and efficient . Our dinner was beautiful ( we had chosen from the menu on check-in ) , every mouthful was delicious . A lovely Beaujolais complimented the food beautifully . Breakfast next morning was from the a la carte menu and we were told we could have as much as we wanted . I would recommend the Eggs Benedict ... Checkout was smooth and efficient , I would have loved to stay longer ! Being a guest at the Island Lodge was a relaxing experience from start to finish. . Thank you to Michel and staff - we'd love to return one day . Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Villa Song Saigon: "Beautiful little classical hotel."
If you're looking for a hotel in Ho Chi Minh city, i recommend you Villa Song Saigon, the hidden gem only 10 mins by car or you also can take the private free boat into the City. The hotel is by the Saigon river, nice view for breakafast and afternoon tea.Try the eggs benedict for breakfast, won't disappoint you. Nice...Flower Island: "Relaxing in paradise"
"Staying here was like being in paradise- your own tropical heaven away from everything. There's some incredible coral reef around which makes for some excellent snorkelling: we saw turtles on a number of occasions as well as a plethora of tropical fish. They also have some giant clams in the coral right in front of the beach. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and on one day took us to a pearl farm. I highly recommend a visit to the pearl farm - it's so fascinating to see this industry at work (not to mention more amazing snorkelling opportunities along the way!) (...) You can also hike up to the light house (around 10-15 mins) to get some lovely 360 degrees views. And there is a stone path going around the island for running: a complete cycle is around 1.7km, so 3 rounds, we did 5.5km ish. Oh - and did I mention those stunning sunsets...?"Mume: "Dinner with Friends"
It looks private from outside, foods are delicious and creative. Not that much choice but delicious. It is worth to try.
