Sandat Glamping Tents: "Amazing place!"
I loved staying at Sandat, the concept is really different and interesting, the tents are world class amazing, very very nicely decorated and neat, overlooking the jungle! The food was really good and the staff was really really helpful. I would def go back!Mume: "Knocked it out of the park!"
"we ordered 2 appetizers- Oysters and tartlets, 3 small dishes- prawns, waygu tartare and beef tongue and 2 big dishes- amadai fish and beef cheek. 2 deserts - Cucumber sorbet and passion fruit cake. 1 bottle of water and 2 glasses of wine. Oysters and tartlets were both very good. Prawns, tartare and beef tongue were excellent. Amadai fish and beef cheek were nothing short of amazing. Deserts were also very creative and tasted great. I mean when was the last time that you thought of cucumber as a desert ? This is a restaurant that is truly deserving of a 5 star rating."Inle Princess Resort: "Wunderschönes Hotel"
Wir waren im August als Paar dort und die Erfahrung war wirklich großartig. Die Lage ist wunderschön, die Anlage topgepflegt und das Personal extrem freundlich. Das Restaurant ist gut, aber nicht Spitze und etwas überteuert. Sonst alles top!Villa Song Saigon: "What a find!!!"
A totally incredible experience from start to finish !! This hotel has become WORLD CLASS in the space of less than a year. Every single detail has been though of so far by an unbelievable attentive staff. Our first night in Vietnam and such an awesome welcome. Thank you Villa Sog team , we cant wait to return.Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Delightful Period Throw Back"
We wandered down Soi 45 looking for a restaurant that a friend had recommended to us and stumbled on this little gem. We came back and booked a night. The interior design for Cabochon is a throw back to colonial past and it has a delightful old style and authentic ambiance. We loved the service and the traditional Thai/Lao food in the restaurant (the original reason we found Cabochon) was fantastic and we weren't disappointed. Cabochon is a small independent boutique hotel and it basically gets pretty much everything right.Reverie Siam: "Quality hotel in Pai"
"Beautiful hotel just outside the village of Pai. It felt like a true oasis in Northern Thailand. Every morning we were served the most amazing a la carte breakfast, delicious. There are two beautiful swimming pools where we relaxed the first day after the long scooter ride from Chiang Mai. Very low prices for food and cocktails, you would expect to pay a lot more in a 5 star hotel ike this. Only a short scooter ride to the village with many restaurants and bars. Here we discovered Northern Thailands, in our opinion most delicious dish: Khao Soi Gai. It can found in the main street where the night market is: two people are cooking on the street and they have a 'restaurant' behind them. They only prepair Pad Thai & Khao Soi Gai. Only 50B! Amazing. Please note that in the hotel only Western style food is served, no Thai food. If you want to relax a little also this is the perfect hotel to stay at in Pai. "The Village House: "Great great Staff and Hotel out of Kuching"
"We stayed at village house for 3 night for the ester week end. First the place is charming, tastily decorated and the room and bathroom are really clean. But the second point and what made this stay so great was the service and the staff! A big thank you to Alifa, Flora and Eleesa for taking such a good care of us! Great advice and help to visit around Santubong village and some talk about the culture of Borneo. And a big congrats to the Chef (that call him just a cook, you should not when you are serving a 8 course menu ...) really talented and worth paying more than the Food court few km from the hotel (by the way run away from damai beach resort). So to sum up, definitely a place that i recommend 100%, great for a week end gateway from Singapore or as a step into your travel in Asia! "Satri House: "Amazing"
Perfect boutique hotel, where style matches fantastic services: it’s like living in a beautiful house, furnished and decorated with amazing taste. Restaurant is worth both breakfasts and dinners: this is a must-stay hereGlenburn Tea Estate: "Perfection!"
"I can't believe I left my visit to Glenburn (and Darjeeling) to the end of my time in India. I definitely would have returned if I'd been earlier in my tour. The overall experience is fabulous, though there are adjustments that could be made to the property to make it out of this world. The property may not be as fancy as some five star resorts but the experience is everything you could hope for, largely thanks to the wonderful efforts of caretakers Will and Faye (and Alex, who is helping for a few months). They went out of their way to make the it memorable, warm and welcoming. The views and the grounds of the estate are lovely. The tea fields are interesting for a few hours. A lot of guests loved the trek to the Ranjeet River. I preferred whiling away the hours on the front verandah, which really is the perfect antidote to the chaos and dirt of most Indian cities. The catering is superb - kudos to the kitchen staff. If you like kitsch, it's worth the visit to the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway - though much of its journey is through town centres, cheek by jowl with people and their homes. The Shimla toy train may be better. Was lucky to catch a glimpse of Kanchenjunga on my last day but many don't get that lucky. It's still beautiful with or without that experience. The rooms are gorgeously quaint and the attention to detail with the decor is lovely. I loved all the butterfly touches in the Butterfly Room. But the owners may want to consider upgrading the sealing of rooms and electricity given the rates are in the higher bracket for the region. Post monsoon, I found a lot of creepy crawlies were making their way inside through gaps in the windows and an external door that couldn't close/lock. Also plugging in and using the hairdryer could get a bit buzzy given the old electrics. An upgrade to smooth the road to the property also wouldn't go astray. There is bumpy and there is feeling like you're in a washing machine. It's manageable if you don't get car sick but would be horrible if you do - I think the driver also makes a big difference. I did the road with two fabulous drivers and a less careful one as I was leaving and I noticed the difference. Despite those quibbles, I'd go again in a heart beat. Really loved the place. I was lucky to get a late room over the Dusshera/Durga Pooja holiday but apparently it books up fast."Samanea Beach Resort: "Secret idyllic Resort"
"We stayed only for 2 nights.i liked the colonial minimal decoration of the spacious room with it' s adorable outside shower. The stuff were all ready to serve you ,helpful and smily. I loved the Hawaiian pool, and the pier which drives you to the ocean. The cleanliness would be better. The towels wasn't very clean but overall the feeling was good. The breakfast is poor. You have only two choices of the menu, like an omelet and fruits. The resort is a little far of the town ,but with a tuk tuk is easy to go. I recommend this place."
