Maduzi Hotel: "Lovely boutique hotel with great service"

"This is the second time we have stayed here and we are glad we returned. The Maduzi is a a lovely hotel it is set back off the busy street in a great location near the MRT and BTS. Rooms are nice, very comfortable, we love the over size bed in the deluxe room, the overflowing spa bath is a great way to relax after a busy day on your feet. There is a pod coffee machine in the room, long with a stocked mini bar. The service from the staff is always good from check in to the check out, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is good with a nice variety, I also like that you can ask for a coffee and it will be promptly made whenever you ask."

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Friendly, beautiful and excellent"

"We went in the month of June to this resort. It was monsoon time. whatever people say we love travelling in the monsoon. The beauty of the countryside is seen during this season. The manager of the place we stayed was very friendly on the phone while we checked on availability and proved more so on meeting. Room was lovely a large bedroom with an semi-open bathroom. Eco-friendly place. Food was sea food which was excellent with choice of chicken and mutton. The menu for each day was fixed and had enough variety to satisfy everyone. Swimming pool overlooks the sea and quite beautiful. Our kids enjoyed the pool even when it rained. We could walk out into the private beach though the sea was stormy given the monsoon. The staff was friendly and courteous. The resort is non-smoking but i did catch a fellow guest smoking. Books to read. No liquor other than beer and wine so if you drink carry your booze. All in all a great visit."

MAISONS WAT KOR: "Great stay in a wonderful setting"

"What a beautiful resort. We had the pleasure of staying here over Khmer New Year and had a wonderful time. The room is very spacious and overlooks the lotus pond. The pool is quite big, considering the size of the resort. The location is about 2km from the city center. As it was Khmer New Year most of the establishment in the center were closed, so we had lunch and dinner at the resort. The daily changing 3-course lunch and 4-course dinner are definitely recommended! The staff is very attentive and friendly and overall I would recommend everyone to stay here when travelling to Battambang. "

Reverie Siam Pai: "Small Luxury Boutique Hotel"

The hotel is low level and sits beautifully in the lovely landscaped grounds. We had a mountain view view room which was absolutely lovely and very peaceful. The bathrooms are stunning and the shower had amazing water pressure. The beds are huge with lovely crisp linens. The location is perfect, by the river and slightly out of town. There is a free shuttle which is excellent for when you wish to go into town. The staff were truly focused on the customer, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. The eggs hollandaise for breakfast were stupendous. As veggies the staff were always happy to amend the menu and we had no problems there but a little more veggie choice would have been great. The cocktails, restaurant area, swimming pools and riverside pavilion were all fabulous. We stayed 5 nights and by the end we felt like regulars...totally at home. As a luxury treat on our two week motorbiking holiday this place was a real tonic and we would absolutely come back/stay here if ever in this area again.

Slow Villas and Spa: "Gorgeous villas and delicious breakfasts"

"Had a lovely 4 nights stay at Slow Villas and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We arrived early, before check in and were provided with drinking water, beach blankets and a basket so we could head to the beach for a few hours before our villa was ready. The villa it's self was beautifully designed and had everything we could need. The privacy was great, pool was cold, outdoor seating was utilized daily. The bed was comfortable and the outdoor bathroom was amazing. We did not really utilize the kitchen but would be a lovely addition if staying longer and wanted to cook our own meals. The breakfasts provided each morning was so delicious. We had the Australian, Indonesian, and Gili breakfasts and all were so good! The staff were so friendly and attentive to any needs we had, we really can't thank them enough. Great secluded spot on Gili Air. Only con: a bit of a walk (15-20min) to the busier side of the island, but easily doable."

CABOCHON HOTEL & RESIDENCE: "Urban Bangkok feel — Hit it twice this so far."

"For those seeking to experience the vibe of Bangkok as a psuedo-denizen for a couple of days -- that is, to live/to sleep amid that ordinary urban street mix of local food vendors adjacent to gleaming skyscrapers, [and, with some solid benefits such as a being near a handy supermarket, the Skytrain Phrom Phong stop, a hip juice bar, and a small city park] the Cabochon offers this kind of feel in the Thai metropolis. It's not on the famed river, and it's not super luxury. Rather, it's under-the-radar subtle. Hidden down a small alley from that urban mix, the colonial-era building is a sweet spot -- surrounded by lush foliage and filled inside with Asian collectibles. Venture out into the Bangkok chaos, and return back to the chill of the Cabochon, where the genuinely warm staff will greet you with smiles -- more smiles when you order a couple of rounds of mojitos. Relaxed without anyone in your grill. Clean, more than acceptable, not over-priced. And best, it is super understated."

"My two days in Muang La were over my high expectations. Everything was fabulous from the location to all the attentions and details of service. The staff is so generous and warm with a special mention to the Lao staff who try and manage to speak English and to provide standard keys of hospitality services to the guest. I loved the deck, the meals all different every night, the pool overlooking the river, the hot springs and the hike to the falls we did with our guide. I loved this escape ... thank you to Raphael and his assistant to make this lodge and experience fabulous"

Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Understated, Charming, Comfortable and Friendly Team Members"

"Although the weather throughout our stay was not kind to us, it did not dampened our spirits to have some time out and relax in the resort. We stayed in a two bed room villa and a sea facing villa, each with its own plunge pool. My family was picked up by the hotel team at the airport straight to the resort, a service provided if you book direct. The drive was less than 15 minutes away. Upon reaching the hotel, we drived on a gravel road. Our room are very spacious, clean and comfortable. The gardens are beautifully maintained and there is a herbs and vegetables plot which the kitchen uses it in their menu extensively. The housekeeping team clean the room daily and they do a wonderful job. They also enter the room only when you are away from the room. Our plunge pool are cleaned early in the morning each day. All around the resort ground, wifi is provided, but signals may be weak at certain spots. In my opinion, if you are on a truly switch off vacation, wifi will be your least worry. Otherwise, wifi signal are excellent at the main restaurant; Sea Salt. Our breakfast at Sea Salt Restaurant each morning is simply beautiful and bountiful. The scale of the resort reflects the buffet offerings. One shall not expect a 300 room buffet spread. As a frequent traveller, the breakfast buffet selection is a beautifully balance and nutritious meal to start the day. The fruits are beautifully sliced, and every day, there is a juice of the day made from local fruit of choice. There is an egg station with all the condiments and accompaniments cook to order. The hot section consist Asian staple such as congee, noodles, dim-sum and steamed bun. Bacon and sausages are also offered with waffles and pancakes too! In addition, pastries and bakery, cereals, yoghurt, selection of jams, peanut butter and honey. Tea are individually brewed, and coffee whether you prefer a regular brew, espresso or latte, both are excellent, fresh, strong and bold. Coffee and espresso is my morning ritual, you will be surprised by their selection and beans choice. Sea Salt Restaurant overlooks the beach, ocean and swimming pool, even though it was rainy on all the mornings I was there, the interaction I had with the team, the ambience, the flowers, sound of rain drops, all made it a memorable experience. The team members make the effort to check on you without overdoing it. There are good selection of books to randomly read for a lazy day, you are free to hang out, nap, sleep at the comfortable lounge chairs and benches in Sea Salt. My family and I had dinner in Sea Salt Restaurant two nights in a row. It was not because of the rain, but truly the food served in the restaurant ticks all the right boxes. Small scale restaurant but big on flavors, big on eyes(presentation), explosive flavors from Thai herbs. The culinary team deserves a great compliment. At first looking at the menu, the repertoire is international and also Thai-centric. Usually, I am quite reserve and hesitant with ambitious menu like this. Then again, after dining extensively and selecting a wide range of the offering, I am pleased to say that the culinary team are well experience and passionate with their food. There is a wine cellar with an interesting selection of wines from both new and old world. The cocktails! Oh my, very very surprising! My brothers and I enjoyed the cocktails selection. Each cocktails tried was strong, bold, classic and inventive and beautifully presented. Well done to the Bartender. I have to say my stay at Sea Dance was excellent despite the rainy weather. The villa and gardens are well maintained. I was completely relaxad and rejuvenated. The food and beverage offering are honestly excellent. Finally the ultimate difference of any hotel or resort, small or big, are the staff. The staff at Sea Damce are approachable, respectful, charming, friendly and always goes all the way out to assist my family and me. Never mind the language barrier, the effort and genuine effort shines through. The Sea Dance is a resort in the making a little over 2 years, approaching 3 now. If you willing to step away from your usual global chain hotels and off-the-beaten-path sort of holiday, you will not be dissapointed. Thank you Sea Dance Resort and Team. tugu lombok: "A place to unwind, forget the hustle and bustle……relax!"

"We wanted a place in the warm tropics with green gardens, a beach to comb, comfortable accommodation away from the madding crowd. Tugu ticked all our boxes and then some....the heart of Tugu most definitely is the wonderful compliment of staff. We were really made to feel most welcome, nothing was too much trouble for anyone....a very big thank you to you all. "

Mudanwan Villa: "Tranquil and GREAT hot spring facilities!"

"I have stayed in Mudanwan for 2 night with my family. We got a big room on the ground floor with our own hot spring pool and swimming pool in the back yard (privacy guaranteed), a large bathroom with another indoor hot spring pool, two king size beds, and it was just fabulous!!! We went for a full board package and the food was just gorgeous and fresh! There's a 24 hr juice/snack bar too. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the services were just great. We really had a fantastic time there. Although the location is really in the middle of nowhere, they do offer a nice shuttle service."
