Babe: "Awesome dinner for couple"
This place is awesome for anyone looking to have dinner with a view (not so great but pass lah) and not having to go downtown kl. From food presentation to food line up and wine pairing, it is perfect. Also they have special arrangement for special occasion, so make sure you inform them earlier.Kenanga Hotel: "Peaceful, relaxing stay"
"The Kenanga is good value for money. Awesome setting overlooking paddy fields, with a resident duck community, beautiful gardens and a great pool area. I ended up staying for an extra night because the place has such a nice, calm, relaxed feel to it. Breakfast is exceptionally good, and the staff are very eager to help/please. Wifi is good (by Bali standards at least). You can borrow bicycles, and there are some pretty cool places nearby to cycle to. There's a shuttle bus to and from town, the centre of which is 3.5km away. It's actually pretty pleasant to walk into town, as it's mostly downhill, but probably a tad too far for most. The last shuttle back to the hotel is rather early at 5.15pm. I planned to eat in the restaurant maybe once and to eat in town the rest of the time, but the food was of such high quality that I ended up eating there each night."Jings Residence: "Fabulous peaceful retreat in Pingyao"
A superb hotel - with attentive staff, very well appointed rooms and food second to none. The traditionally laid out courtyard, with room off it, provides a serene haven for recovery after a long journey (you must have travelled a long way to get to PIngyao!). The staff - led by Imam - are quietly attentive seeing to all of your needs. The room are well appointed and comfortable. If you can, eat in - the standard of food is the very highest. I wish there were more places like this!Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "The best"
We stayed here for two nights and it was wonderful. The individual room is beautifully design and has their own little balcony. The food at the restaurant is excellent. The reception has a great library. It is good to know you are supporting the local community as well. One of the drawback is that given it is so ecofriendly, we kept hearing noises from various animal on our roof which disturb our sleep a little bit.
Stayed April 2017, traveled as a couple"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Pure Serenity"
When you are done with the temples in Siem Reap or the noisy city life of Phnom Penh this is the perfect place to relax for 2-3 days. There is nothing bad to say about 4 Rivers Floating Lodge. Great staff, fantastic general manager, delicious food, beautiful rooms and pure peace in a plastic free environment. You will love it. It takes time to get there but it’s worth the trip.SANAK RETREAT BALI: "Peaceful & magical"
"Stayed as a family (kids 5, 9 & 11) for a long weekend (3 nights). Stayed in a two-story family villa that was spacious and cozy, with beautiful rice paddy views. Kids chased frogs at night with flashlights and splashed in the pool during the day. Playroom above the restaurant and the pétanque court in the back were great additions! Excellent food & service, superb massages - also for kids, which is rare and ours loved it! Did the walking tour in the rice paddies and nearby village, including a swim in the waterfalls - it was wonderful. Also did the trip to Danau Tambligan, which was interesting, and the Munduk waterfalls. The sunsets are amazing, and the peaceful surrounds make for a perfect R&R destination. We will be back! "NOEL RODRIGO’S LEOPARD SAFARIS: "Family safari"
"We had a great time at Leopard Safaris. We were staying in a family tent with three children for two nights. We had some friends also staying on the site and the camp offered for the children to go in one jeep and the adults in the other. The children's jeep was looked after by Praneeth, who did a great job of entertaining them during the drives. We dined together and the food was great - all the staff are very friendly. The tents are authentic, giving the camping experience, while they have luxuries like two toilets and separate shower filled with hot water on the way back from the drives. Beds also very comfortable. The food was very tasty and plentiful. The drives were highly informative and we spotted a number of leopards and a sloth bear - particularly good was that most of the time we were away from the crowds. A nice touch was that Saj, who was managing the camp, was very happy to spend time with both adults and children while in camp - even being interviewed by the kids for their home made Yala documentary. An all round great experience and we'll be back some time soon! "Reverie Siam: "Wonderful and fairy tale like oases just outside PAI city center"
reverie Siam lies just ouside Pai, the distance is perfect. Quit, but close to the village. You enter a place with a relaxing atmosphere and wonderful designed rooms/villa's. There are two big (salt) swimming pools. Everything is thought of in this resort. The fruit snacks when you are at the pool, a thai telephone to loan when you are going to town and the list goes on. The WIFI connection is fast (10mb) The a la cart breakfast is very nice, a wide variety of choices. What is best, is the staff. Never We encountered staff in thailand who are so engaged with the wellbeing of the resort en their guests. We extended our stay from 3 nights to 9 nights, that says enough.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "a Charming and nostalgic elegant retreat in Penang"
"This is my 3rd stay at Cheong Fatt Tze in 10 years Not only the building is beautifully restored and maintained, but a lot of efforts have been put to improve comfort in the rooms (new refurbished) and facilities (new garden and pool , new bar...) The Manager Daniel has done a great job with him team for attention to service and friendliness Impressive improvements. congratulations to all... We will be back!"
