Dewakan: "A concerto in your mouth"
Dewakan brings world-class fine dining to a restaurant in the middle of nowhere (in Glenmarie). Some may scoff at its high price, but think of it like paying for a concerto in your mouth. Dewakan takes Malaysian ingredients and local flavours and presents it in spectacular fashion. You will never think of Malaysian cuisine in the same way again after eating here. The service crew are all well-trained and better than a lot of so-called high-class establishments in KL. Well worth the drive deep into Glenmarie and well worth the price. Thanks, Chef Darren!Satri House: "Amazing"
Couldn’t have loved my stay at Satri House any more than I did!! The grounds and rooms were stunning. The staff members were some of the best I’ve ever encountered. The scent of lemongrass will forever remind me of this special place. We stayed 5 nights and wish we could have stayed longer.Neeleshwar Hermitage: "“Beautiful resort – well suited for relaxation”"
"During our 1800km TukTuk challenge from Mumbai to Kanyakumari, we had a two night stay at the resort. On arrival at the hotel after a tiring rickshaw drive, we were greeted and offered fresh coconut water as welcome drink. We were fortunate to have a rest day at the tranquil resort - far from the madding crowd. The accommodation/bungalows were clean and well furnished. The food was good and staff very friendly, courtious and eager to help. It has a clem beach and swimming in the sea was very enjoyable. It's the place to go to for a quiet, restful and relaxing holiday. We also had a 'thank you' card from the manager before we departed - you don't see this often. We would love to go there again for a longer stay. Stayed November 2016, traveled with friends"Inle Princess Resort: "Amazing place"
"Just left after a couple of nights in a Lake View villa. What an amazing place, difficult to know where to start... Firstly, the location is incredible. Arriving by long tail boat is a unique experience and the whole resort is gorgeous. Secondly, the rooms are large and luxurious - lovely facilities including the outdoor shower. Thirdly, the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. Finally, so much to do... we had two great half day trips on the lake and cycled to the vineyard on the last afternoon. Would definitely recommend a trip to Inle Lake"The Cabochon Hotel and Residence: "Indochine Cool"
Reminiscent of French colonial style, this hip little hotel delivers big time. Rooms are airy, beautiful and well appointed. The roof-top pool, long enough for laps, affords spectacular vistas of this booming city. Most of Bangkok's happening restaurants are nearby. (We tried Paste, Bo Lan, and Gaggan--all of them sensational). Rates include a delicious breakfast. The nearby skytrain eases travel around the city. Take a business card from the hotel desk just in case you need to take a cab back. The Cabochon is tiny and not necessarily well known.David’s Kitchen: "A ‘must go’ in Chiang Mai"
"My wife and I went here for a celebration night on our honeymoon and were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. David's team spared no effort in making this a special night. The menu and wine list are unmatched anywhere with superb service. The food is absolutely amazing and if this was in London customers would be queueing out the door. The restaurant is only a very short taxi ride from the hustle and bustle of the city centre and the premises are a contemporary haven of tranquility. Worth going to Chiang Mai for this wonderful experience alone!"Villa Song Saigon: "WOW!! Lived up to all expectations"
We absolutely loved our stay her. The rooms and hotel was amazing, gorgeous pool, wonderful food, amazing staff. We do not have one bad thing to say about Villa Song. We definitely did not want to leave!! We stayed in an interconnecting room with our three kids.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Absolutely beautiful place, such an unusual but wonderful stay"
"The setting is spectacular. It feels so remote. Although the accommodation is canvas, it is so well equipped inside it was better than some hotel rooms we'd had. Proper flushing loo and double hand basins with a lovely shower. There was no kettle in the room but the staff would bring some hot drinks over if requested. The staff were generally very friendly and helpful, it was a homely, welcoming feel. The food was excellent, and the day trips are really worthwhile. There is no wi if but its sometimes nice just to read and relax, the hotel provide DVDs as there is no cable for TV programmes, very much a get away from it all place. Over a 3 week Cambodia / Laos holiday in such a selection of hotels, this one really stands out. It is very close to the jungle so there needs to be some common sense re mosquitos etc but it really is worth a visit. We had 2 nights there, I think 4 would have been ideal."Les Maisons Wat Ko: "Beautiful green grounds and Khmer haut cuisine"
"The rooms are comfortable adaptations of traditional wooden houses, the lighting is a little dim but they are clean and comfortable, the grounds are green and beautiful. The pool is warm and welcoming. Free tea and real coffee are available on demand from the friendly helpful staff. Whatever you do make sure you get the set menu dinner four delightful courses (and if you are lucky an interesting and fragrant amuse bouche as a bonus) for just $12! We also really enjoyed a delicate duck soup for breakfast, though Continental (with eggs) and American alternatives are available if you want. The set dinner was the best meal of our visit to Cambodia."Tugu Bali: "Very lovely"
"A true TUGU experience. Peaceful, good service. They have a lawn area with direct access to the beach.Turn left and the beach goes on forever and it's a clean beach too (a rarity in Indonesia). Anyway the room are beautiful, it has a lovely garden and as usual the hotel is full of antiques and artifacts. To note: The rooms upstairs have access via a spiral staircase, it quite steep. (this might be a consideration for some if you have mobility restrictions or don't like heights) The restaurant was good but pricey for the quality (I'm used to Jakarta price/quality ratio)"
