Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Excellent"
"We went to Le Du last night and had a wonderful dinner. Everything was great: food was delicious, very creative, marrying perfectly the modern cuisine with a Thai touch. The chef also put an accent on using sustainable products. The wine list is very complete with lots of ""bio"" wine, probably a personal selection from the chef/sommelier, the price is very reasonable. The service was dynamic, friendly though precise and professional with staff speaking very good English. The young talented chef had successfully ""imported"" the modern fine dining concept from USA to Bangkok and made of Le Du unmissable on Bangkok culinary scene."Rachamankha: "Luxury Oasis in Middle of Chiang Mai — Superb Value"
The Rachamankha hotel is an oasis in the middle of Chiang Mai, Thailand. My wife and I stayed there for three nights as part of a southeast Asia tour. The hotel grounds are fabulous and peaceful. The break fast was outstanding and a great way to start any day. The value for the price was superb. I highly recommend this hotel.Sukoon Houseboat: "Beautiful houseboat on a beautiful lake"
The luxury and service on Sukoon far exceeded any expectations. The lovely carved wood panelling and the comfort of the ensuite bedroom had the feel of a five star hotel. So glad we had opted to stay for five nights to fully enjoy the peace and tranquility of living on board. We were able to sit on the deck where we took delicious meals and where the excellent chef cooked breakfast to our request. The snow capped mountains in the far background completed the scene. The small shikara boats provided a delightful way to explore the lake and take us ashore to explore Srinagar. I cannot recommend Sukoon highly enough over all other houseboats we got to see there. Can't wait to go back.Inle Princess Resort: "How disappointing"
"We travelled by car to the resort because our boat transfer was cancelled due to poor weather. We finally arrived at the resort down a dirt track and parked under a lean to. We were greeted by a young gentleman who said he would take us to our room. I had to ask if we were in the right place as it looked nothing like the photos on the net. He assured me it was. As we progressed, it soon became obvious that we had come in the back entrance. Our feelings went from total disappointment to one of elation. Check in was simple and efficient. Our room was clean and spacious. I could comment that there was not enough light in the room, but the intimacy it provides is all part of the charm of the place. The staff were most helpful in all areas and their genuine happiness could not be faulted. Like most of Myanmar at this stage, the SMALL imperfections in most places when compared with other 5star establishments in the rest of the world are what makes its charm. The breakfast offering is most probably a bit average but adequate. We would happily stay again and have no problem recommending it for any other couple."Samuay & Sons: "Great and unexpected gem"
"I'm really glad that we stopped in here to get some food. The food is phenomenal, and the preparation and presentation is quite unique. It's a different take on Thai food, and the folks who work there had time to talk to us, and give us an education on how they source the food, from farm-to-table, and have relationships with actual farmers. The head chef even brought us different types of brown rice to show differences. I enjoyed their take on Tom Yam. I think one of the wonderful things they understand is that food IS medicine and it can heal you. I also like that they travel quite a bit, so they have a sophisticated palate, and introduce you to food you've already had, and make it in a new, and creative way. The dessert was also great. It wasn't overwhelming, like it sometimes can be. I ended up taking a lot of photos because they have some of the best presentation around. Thank you, Samuay & Sons!!!!"SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "I am here as I write this"
I’ll keep it short and sweet. Just come here and don’t think twice. You will fall in love with this place. Wonderful ambience and superb food. The owner said they’ve been open only for 10 months. There is no surprise why they’re number 1 in Yangon in such a short period of time. It’s wonderful.Flower Island: "Simply Amazing!!"
"If you are looking for a place to truly relax, that is off the beaten path, and want to be surrounded by friendly mellow guests and attentive, caring staff, then this is the place for you. Flower Island is not like the other crowded resorts in Palawan. This is truly a place where you will chill and relax. For those that can’t sit still there is snorkeling (great reef just steps from your room), kayaks, SUPs, pearl farm tour and trekking around the island to keep you occupied. Definitely worth the time and investment. I highly recommend this place!!"Villa Song Saigon: "Fantastic"
We loved our 2 night stay at Villa Song. Room was extremely spacious with balcony. A major positive was the location next to the Saigon River - great location and only a short boat trip to the city centre. The boat ride on the river was in itself very enjoyable. Had an excellent massage at the spa. Without asking, we had a room made available through to our evening flight. Can recommend dining nearby at the Deck.Sukoon Houseboat: "Sukoon means peace on heaven of"
Kashmir’s beauty can leave you gasping for air, yet amidst such splendor, exists one tiny, wondrous place to stay. Of all things, a houseboat on the Dal Lake would be the most idle place to take in Kashmir’s beauty, with the looming snowcapped peaks -far away yet so near and the lotuses floating at arm’s length on the Dal.Mie Cafe: "Fantastic Khmer fusion!"
Don't be fooled by the name, it isn't really a café but a nice restaurant that serves really good Khmer fusion cuisine. Having been to a similar restaurant the night before for dinner, I was extremely surprised that the food here was much better. The fish risotto was excellent and I have to say, the ONLY risotto I've had that was of similar standard was in Gruyeres, Switzerland. I also enjoyed the Khmer curry and the frozen lime pie. Service was also very good. Will definitely be back if I return to Siem Reap!
