Sandat Glamping Tents: "Incredible"
I can't recommend Sandat Glamping enough. The atmosphere was relaxing, the hotel was gorgeous, and the service was unparalleled. Absolutely perfect place to stay in Ubud. The hotel staff was very accommodating when helping us plan day-trips and transportation, which was an added bonus.Villa Song Saigon: "Mattie Nason"
"Wonderful hotel with excellent service. We stayed in the Art room. I could sit on my bed with open windows and listen to the river, music from the restaurant and the feel the cool breeze after the evening rain. The extra cost for the larger room was worth it. Overall a good value. The food was excellent, breakfast was included and could be had any time during the day. The pool was a high light for me. On enough for serious laps and the perfect temperature. Open 27/7! All their recommendations were great too."Slow Villas and Spa: "Simply Amazing"
We found this place on our last night on Gili Air, if only we found it earlier! It is so wonderful, we had the best stay. From a wonderful welcome with delicious welcome drink to a sensational breakfast before we left, everything has been 5 stars. They even offered complimentary massage in the new spa, which is built in a beautifully designed circular bamboo building. The design of this whole place really is something else. My husband and I could not stop commenting on how well thought out this place is. We loved it quiet surroundings and remoteness. It really is a hidden gem. It is worth spending the extra money to stay here. It is pretty great value really. So sad to leave but we will definitely be back for a longer stay next time.Maison Polanka: "Maison Polanka"
This is a superior, magical place secluded from the hubbub yet only a few steps away from the main streets and central parts of the city. It's owners and staff are intelligent, graceful and always helpful to give you with the most courteous service. Their attitude is to provide you with memorable visit.Food, accommodations, and grounds are of the most pleasant and tasteful possible. Worth every bit of a visit and repeated stays.Of lovely place to experience and remember.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Historical beauty"
What a special and unique place to stay. Amazing high ceilings and fabulous architecture. VERY hot water in the shower and the nicest linen I’ve slept on in a long time. Breakfast was delicious. Didn’t eat other meals in the hotel but the menu looked great. The pool is in a sweet back garden which we had all to ourselves. No good for exercise but perfect for dipping, splashing and cooling off. Well located for a wonder to Love Lane and a gentle walk home after too much hawker food. I love this place. Staff were friendly and helpful but their English (although infinitely better than my Malay) not great.Tandjung Sari: "Beautiful, relaxing, great atmosphere"
"A lovely older style resort in Sanur away from the madness of Kuta/Legian. We stayed in a lovely 2 storey ocean front bungalow, just a few steps to the beach, The grounds of the hotel are lovely as is the pool and outdoor eating areas. Breakfast is very good, in fact all the food here is top quality. All staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again"Locavore: "Outstanding"
"We chose to have the 5 course degustation menu with accompanying cocktails for each course. While we may have had some reservation about having cocktails instead of matching wine, they were a revelation! While we were waiting for our meal to begin we were stunned to be served with SEVEN 'amuse bouche' dishes prior to this. All were outstanding and each was described to us in detail by a member of the staff - sometimes a waitress but often one of the cooks - including the head chef. In a similar vein - the 1 dessert course actually ended up being a 'pre-dessert', main dessert, and then about 3 'post desserts'. All the dishes were of a very high standard with interesting combinations and flavours. The open kitchen allows you to observe the staff preparing the food - all in a seemingly tranquil manner. Service was outstanding and we waddled out after almost 3 hours, overwhelmed by the experience. Even though it is reasonably pricey compared to other restaurants in Bali (~US$150pp including drinks), it is well worth it."Satri House: "WONDERFUL STAY AT SATRI HOUSE"
We (9 ladies) stayed at SATRI HOUSE 22 October for 3 nights. What an amazing tranquil place to stay. I cannot fault the service, the rooms, the breakfast or the staff. It was decorated with so many antiquities that everyday you discovered something new. It has 2 pools and lounge rooms that are devine. The Spa there was fantastic - had to use everyday. If you ever need some beauty and peace this is the place to stay - a very short walk or tuk tuk into town - a few minutes. I need to take my husband there to unwind. It really was a special place...would highly recommend!Supanniga Eating Room: "Great food with a unique dish"
Ate with a group of work colleagues and was Super impressed. There is deep fried catfish which comes out like popcorn. To die for. Also all the usual great Thai dishes. Well worth it for great local foodRak Ko Jae Seoul: "Keeping it a Secret"
"Rak Ko Jae is absolutely beautiful, it breathes serenity, it's something that comes with time. It is also well situated in Bukchon Village, literally walking distance or a short subway ride to many attractions. We were there for 4 nights and were able to stay in all 3 suites. Each one of them is special in its own way. My favourite was definitely the Patio Room even though it's the smallest out of the three. Some might find the rooms a little more worn out than the photos shown but this is precisely why we found them charming. We didn't have a chance to have dinner there but the traditional breakfasts were so delicious we were set up for the day. The dry sauna was relaxing after a full day of tour. What we also enjoyed the most was the nice balance of hospitality and privacy. We are definitely coming back next year! Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys traditional Korean architecture and history, Rak Ko Jae is a small oasis in the middle of bustling Seoul. Stayed January 2017, traveled with family"
