Satri House: "Very relaxing and charming"
My wife and is stayed Here for 9 days during July, and even the rainy season could not dampen our enjoyment. Satri house is so charming, relaxing, well run and very clean. The staff are very attentive and polite, the whole ambiance is very colonial, lush and elegant. Despite what others say it is only a very brief 5-10 minutes walk into the town. Simply wonderful..The Island Lodge: "Lovely Oasis on Two-Day Bike Tour"
We stayed at the property in later December 2016 on the night in the middle of a two-day bike trip. After a long morning and part of the afternoon on bikes we were very happy to arrive at this beautiful property. The owner and his staff are very welcoming and the rooms were spacious and very clean. The bathroom is well decorated with pretty rocks in one section of the shower and lovely ceramic mugs near the sink. We had booked ahead to ensure we could each have a massage that afternoon and the spa is small but pretty. There is a large pool and deck area along the river but it was cool enough that we were not interested in sitting out by the pool. We had a cocktail in the bar area which is open on all sides and has a fun decor that incorporates old world items. The restaurant was good but we were not clear at the time of booking that we would be on a set menu. I think we would have preferred to order a la carte. All in all a good stay and we would return if in the area.Les Maisons d’Itac: "BEST PLACE EVER! Suite Télémac ❤️"
"It's been a long time since I've been in the Philippines and it was his first time to go for a proper visit (stopped over on the way to Australia back in '99). I wanted to make sure he sees how beautiful the islands are and make him experience local culture and the Filipinos signature hospitality without compromising some luxuries. Boy, oh boy, this place made an impression! Our first time in Cebu coming from an awesome 3 days in Boracay, we thought this place will have to work really hard to impress us. We arrived at the Cebu Mactan airport and was picked up by a friendly ""Kuya"" that we arranged with Sir Bryan. His car was clean and he let us do a bit of shopping at the nearby Savemore supermarket while he waited at the parking lot. I admired his patience. He told us it'll take around 3hours to get to the resort and I thought we were ok with it. I am not a very patient passenger, plus we just came from a tiring flight and barely had time to rest. I kept thinking that I made the wrong decision with booking this property because it was miles and miles (and miles) away from the airport. Eventually, we arrived at the resort late at around 8pm and it was already dark so I was like, ""okay, give it a chance in the morning"". We were lead to our private villa and I was pleasantly surprised at how perfect it was with our own pool, 3 rooms, a hut and a cabana! Sir Bryan called one of the girls to fix us a meal and it was delicious. I am not kidding, it was. We were the only guests because it was the town fiesta (festival honoring the feast day of their patron saint) and Sir Bryan was worried that guests might not be happy with the noises the parties might cause. I was warned about this beforehand but we were totally ok and were actually planning to join the party. In the morning, we woke up and our jaws dropped after realising how gorgeous the whole property was. Breakfast was unforgettable, especially the fresh mango smoothie/shake (so sweet and not even a grain of sugar was added in it!). On other days we had different fruit shakes and the staff made sure they were all fresh and perfect. The food, as I've mentioned, is simply perfect. Loads of activities around and we were luck enough to join the fluvial parade during the town feast and we had so much fun chasing and trying to get the passengers on the other boat as wet with sea water as we can. We ended up getting back after around an hour soaked, but incredibly happy. We had our first try with stand up paddle-boarding and it was great! People who like their own space and respect other people's will fall in love with this place. The marine sanctuary right in front of this property is a great indicator they care about the earth. It is one of the best holidays and resort I've been to. We left with a heavy heart and wished we could've stayed a bit longer. Will definitely try and visit again if we ever go back to the Philippines."Satri House: "Fantastic boutique hotel"
Great service, well maintained, and smoothly run boutique hotel located just 500m from Luang Prabang downtown. Very friendly and discreet service, rooms in good shape and a fine breakfast restaurant as well as good pool and spa services. We'll be back.Satri House: "Lovely boutique hotel, close to town but far enough away…"
Loved this little sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of Luang Prabang - but close enough to get to the night market and most everything else in 5+ minutes. Lots of lovely sitting areas, nice grounds, beautiful antiques and local flavor. We stayed here 4 nights and felt like we were the only ones here for the 1st 2 days... as more travelers arrived the tranquility stayed intact because of all the lovely spaces around the property. And even though it was quite cold in the mornings and evenings they provided space heaters in the restaurant, sitting areas, and an amazing fire in the main 'family' room of the hotel. The staff was wonderful and at every turn saw to our needs - including coffee in the room before the restaurant opened. LOVED that there were not TV's in the rooms - great way to keep the kids engaged in games and reading when we weren't exploring. The rooms are large and the beds exceptionally comfortable - the mosquito netting - which may be needed in the more humid/hot months was charming. And the food in the restaurant was delicious! Stay for an evening meal or 2 - you will not be sorry. And the breakfast - while not a buffet - was absolutely delicious! Eggs to order, amazing handmade jams and chutneys, delicious croissants and toast. If Asian breakfast is more your thing than they offer this as well. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Luang Prabang - from our ride around town this still seems the best place to stay with high marks on all fronts.Villa Song Saigon: "Best Hotel we stayed at in Vietnam"
"Charming, well-run, well-situated hotel outside the hubbub and pollution of downtown HCMC/Saigon. We stayed here twice during out three week trip through Vietnam and Cambodia. Villa Song was a wonderful respite from the highly charged program. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed; the staff is helpful and professional; the food is excellent. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Room Tip: River view rooms are lovely."Sea Dance Resort: "An island on the island"
"We stayed ten days at the sea dance resort and had a perfect time there. The resort is really beautiful, very quiet and charming. And Poy and his team were all so friendly, attentively and helpful that it felt like staying with friends. The food at the restaurant was just excellent, the best we tasted on our Thailand journey. Thank you all so much for the great service, we will defintely come back."SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "I am here as I write this"
I’ll keep it short and sweet. Just come here and don’t think twice. You will fall in love with this place. Wonderful ambience and superb food. The owner said they’ve been open only for 10 months. There is no surprise why they’re number 1 in Yangon in such a short period of time. It’s wonderful.Tugu Bali: "Amazing"
"What a superb property. Only 21 rooms, built on wooden structures and with great ethnic feel. The service is amazing and so is the food. There is direct access to the beach and the beach side garden is great to lounge in with tonnes of space. At night dinner can be served in this garden. Try it. The place is full of antique statues and is a photographers delight. The property is flush with greenery and water bodies. Loved it."Satri House: "Sophisticated and elegant"
"We stayed 4 nights at this beautiful hotel booked through Selective Asia. Our room was completely charming, with very comfortable beds and solid furniture, with a good sized bathroom. The whole hotel setting is gorgeous, with unusual and atmospheric antiques and artefacts everywhere, and a mix of colonial houses linked together by walkways, pools and fountains. Tremendous style oozes from all parts of this boutique Hotel, from the maze of corridors and lily ponds, to the garden and swimming pools. It’s eclectic, but really beautifully done. Service was very good - both in the lovely airy restaurant and at reception. All the staff were always very happy to help, whether it was for issuing bicycles, getting drinks or towels, or helping us to get in touch with our guide unexpectedly. There was plenty of drinking water in our room, and a lovely fruit bowl, but the mini bar was only filled on request - with no wine option! The garden/pool bar was ideal for cocktails, but its situation meant it was rather dominated by road noise and construction noise from a neighbouring property....the same machine noise also prevented my excellent massage in the spa being as relaxing as it might have been (maybe shut the doors and put on some quiet relaxing music during treatment?). We ate at the delightfuk upstairs restaurant one evening and really enjoyed our meal and some good wine. Our breakfasts there were freshly cooked to order, served very carefully, and were wonderful. We loved the homemade tamarind, pineapple and tomato jams and delicious local freshly squeezed orange juice, and freshly toasted baguette! The free bikes (about to be renewed for the new season) were a great way to get into the centre of town - it is a good 20 mins walk without them to reach the main restaurant area, although the night market (which is a must for souvenirs) is nearer, say 10 mins walk. The only thing we found rather awkward was our check-in, which felt a bit uncomfortable from our point of view, with irrelevant small talk when we were tired from travelling. Nevertheless, we loved this hotel and can highly recommend it as a unique and wonderful boutique hotel in a beautifully city."
