Kinugawa Kanaya Hotel: "A great, deep and perfect experience"

Review by: Peter K | Source: tripadvisor.com
I spent 3 days with my family (kids: 7 & 8 years) in the Kinugawa Kanaya Hotel. I am a very spoiled customer but can say: Wow! What a great and deep experience. We felt welcomed from the very first minute. We loved the very friendly and attentative service be it in the restaurant or at the reception. The hotel team organized excursions for us to Edo Wonderland, the cultural highlights of Nikko or a rafting trip on the Kinugawa river. The team took care end to end and even organized the required tickets. The rooms (we had a japanese standard room with2 beds) were very clean and a good mix of modern luxury and the traditional japanese style. The onsen is beautiful and the Kaiseki kitchen is remarkable.(...) And yes, you need to have time. Not all members of the hotel team speak English but they surely will get you someone with the required language skills. That might take a minute longer but the hotel team demonstrated to be very flexible and even more important: they really took care to make our stay a relaxed, pleasent and deep experience. If you are up for that, this is the hotel for you. If you are looking for an international highspeed service and have no time nor patience or interest to have a dialogue with people then you might stay in a larger hotel chain.

Satri House: "Stunning"

Review by: Andrew S | Source: Trip Advisor
What more can I say other than the Satri House other than it is a beautiful property located about 15 minutes walk from the main tourist strip in Luang Prabang, and fairly east to get to from the airport. Our room was simply stunning, and super modern looking and attractive woodwork, with a high ceiling, four poster super comfy bed, decent sized bathroom (with a large shower area) and amenities - the bed also had a mosquito net which was put down to protect you at night. In addition to that, the breakfast, which was complimentary, was absolutely outstanding and cooked to order and a delight. The staff also helped organise tours for us with private operators which were all excellent and reasonably priced, and were otherwise at hand to deal with any concerns. My only criticism (including of Laos generally) is that the WiFi did not work at all throughout my visit - its a huge problem in Laos generally, and Satri House should really look into what they can do here..Other than this slight technical issue, I cannot speak any more highly of Satri House, the staff or the experience..definitely one for the memories...

Satri House: "Tasteful and relaxing"

Review by: NS3M | Source: TRip Advisor
Stayed here in low season. Around a quarter full. Best time to go to Luang Prabang but, with the heat, it is still great to have Satri House to retreat to. Basically faultless: tastefully designed, lovely staff, two nice pools, great rooms, good breakfast. The setting is intimate, various buildings woven into the gardens. A few minutes by bike (free from the hotel) into the centre.

Supanniga Cruise: "Supanniga Evening Champagne Cruise"

Review by: Katri80 | Source: Trip Advisor
We had a chance to try out the new Supanniga sunset cruise with my sister and her fiancee who were visiting us. Compared to many of the other river cruises, the experience was much more intimate with a small boat that was not in the least crowded for the 1-hour sunset cruise on a Sunday. Very comfortable and nice scenery, and the glass of champagne offered was very good! The sunset cruise includes no food beyond a few nibbles (think peanuts and dried shrimp), but the service was great and the menu for the later dinner cruise looked very appetising as well. Recommended for a special event or a less touristy cruise option for visitors!

Chakrabongse Villas: "Quiet oasis, great location"

Review by: rtwnomads | Source: tripadvisor.com
The Oriental Villa was perfect for our family of 4 (kids 10 and 8). Great location to explore the highlights of Bangkok. Dinner on the river was outstanding, and Ms. Atom reserved us a table at Sala Rattanakosin (within walking distance, also on the river) when their chef was off and it was equally memorable.

Tugu Malang: "Wonderful and Amazing Heritage Hotel"

Review by: Somavita S | Source: Trip Advisor
"I really love this hotel. It's so amazing and wonderful. They have a lot of etnic equipment. Every room has difference style. Here they have equipment from Oei Tiong Ham, the very rich people in 1900. All the staf is kind dan very helpful. some of staf could be a guide for the guest to explain each room, each equipment and others. Like visit a museum. There are a lot of story here. Very recommended hotel if you go to malang. If we have could not stay here. They have melati restaurant which is open 24 hours."

Tugu Malang: "Pleasant Surprise"

Review by: Cozzer63 | Source: Trip Advisor
Spent Christmas and New Year at the Tugu and was not sure what to expect as the hotel was fully booked. However, we received excellent service from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. The staff remembered our names and made a genuine effort to make us feel welcome. Despite the size of the hotel it retains a boutique feel. The sheer quantity and quality of the antiques warrant visiting the hotel for the guided tour even if you're not resident. The complimentary afternoon tea is a great experience. The downside is, because it is popular, it gets busy and seats aren't always available. Great looking spa, never got to use it though. Will definitely stay again - off season next time though.

Blackitch Artisan Kitchen: "Kreativ, authentische gehobene Küche"

Review by: Schmackofatz D | Source: Trip Advisor
"Sehr köstliche, kreative und authentische gehobene Küche. Die Atmosphäre ist trotzdem familiär und ungezwungen. Die verwendeten Zutaten ideal aneinander abgestimmt. Es war unheimlich köstlich. Gerne wieder!"

Satri House: "Like stepping back in time"

Review by: Brad W | Source: Trip advisor
"The whole time we were staying in this hotel we couldn't help but feel we had stepped back into a past colonial era. This place is an original residence of a wealthy family and it has been so well preserved and maintained. The rooms are enormous with separate bath and toilet areas. The furnishings are original antiques mixed with local fabrics and craft wares. Totally divine. The breakfast is served in the quaint restaurant overlooking the Lotus pond and there is a very beautiful spa on site. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is brilliant. We were totally impressed with our stay here and when we return to LP we will certainly make this our number one choice for accommodation. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Our happy place"

Review by: Stefan R | Source: Trip Advisor
"We have spent 6 days at Golden Buddha in December 2015 and it has been one of the best Holiday experiences so far. The location is fantastic, the staff and the management are very friendly and the whole atmosphere is very familiar and relaxed. Food, drinks and services (e.g. Thai Massage) are great and our Baan was also stunning. Hopefully we can come back one day."
