Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Wonderful 1st meal in SR"

Review by: junexoxo | Source: Trip Advisor
Loved every course! Even though I'm not an adventurous eater, I was starting to feel full by the 3rd course cos I ate everything. The wait staff were attentive and prompt but not intrusive. After dessert, the chef brought a fruit plate personally and explained each fruit which was very nice.

Manda De Laos: "Wonderful!"

Review by: RufusZach | Source: Trip Advisor
"Probably our favourite restaurant during our travels in Vietnam and Laos. Beautiful setting, it is as attractive as it looks on the photos! Excellent service and fantastic food. We went for dinner and enjoyed it so much that we returned for our last lunch before embarking on our home ward journey. We had a la carte, great sausage and pork balls for starters and good chicken curry and stir fried buffalo. Also had one of the set tasting menus which was delicious. Interesting cocktails! Definitely the best in Luang Prabang. It's a little way from the centre of the town, but well worth the journey."

Sandat Glamping Tents: "Serene start to honeymoon"

Review by: alice h | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent the first three nights of our honeymoon here and it was perfect. From the moment we arrived to our personal tent with the plunge pool filled with petals, to the beautiful candles lit to guide your way to dinner and the incredible food! It is very much off grid, and of course there are the occasional jungle sounds and a few lizards to keep you company, but that is what makes it such an unusual place. We have glamped in other parts of the world and this definitely had the edge on luxury, and the least bugs!! The site is nestled unobtrusively among rice fields and feels very blended wth the local area. Although slightly out of the hustle and bustle of ubud, the free shuttle is excellent and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Thank you for a lovely Stay!"

The Cabochon Hotel: "Colonial, Bygone Dreaminess"

Review by: JennyAdams22 | Source: Trip Advisor
This hotel has a perfect old-world charm, located right in the thick of trendy Thong Lo. It's a minute walk to the BTS, but you can't hear any of the crazy noise of Bangkok, because the hotel is down a small soi. It has a rooftop pool with full sun (often tough to find in Asia, where locals don't like to tan) and a very friendly, English-fluent staff. The rooms are large, and we had a connected suite living room + kitchen that we shared with a few other guests. Loved it and would definitely stay again.

Tugu Lombok: "Above and Beyond Expectations"

Review by: Galboro | Source: Trip Advisor
I had researched this hotel and recommended it to two friends despite not actually visiting it myself so I had high expectations. Finally, I got to visit and I was not disappointed, and I have been lucky enough to stay in many luxurious hotels around the world. This hotel is a gem. From the minute we arrived we all felt...

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "The best views in all of Pokhara"

Review by: Ahlam R | Source: Trip Advisor
"What a magical stay this was! With breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountain range right from your balcony any time of day, the views alone are worth the stay. When the skies are clear, and if you ask, the staff will come to your room and wake you up so you can watch the sun rise from the mountains -- a view that will bring you to tears. Meals are included in the price -- the chef cooks the best Nepali curries I've ever had the pleasure of trying. The estate itself is lovely, quaint, lodge-like and smack right in the middle of nature. The hotel itself is also part of the Pack for a Purpose initiative -- where you can pack school supplies and give them to a school at a local village nearby. Another truly authentic and beautiful experience. I'd go again in a heart beat next time I find myself in Pokhara."

Mathis Retreat: "Very nice place just outside Ubud"

Review by: explorer133 | Source: Trip Advisor
First night in Bali. Very nice place. Driver from airport (slightly overpriced) arranged by Mathis stopped at coffee plantation demo. You can skip that stop. We enjoyed walk along rice paddy (not along busy road) in the morning. Did not care for busy Ubud - preferred other parts of Bali. Hotel provides shuttle to/from Ubud. View of rice paddy from hotel is very nice.

Villa Mathis: "Married at La Villa Mathis"

Review by: Ann S | Source: Trip Advisor
I got married here in 2011. We had checked in late as we had to drop our guests off to another hotel they were staying at. However when we checked in, Bruno had actually called in to see how we were and if we had any question or queries to let him know and he'll be in the following day to meet us (my husband & I). This whole place was amazing! We loved the food and also note that this was our first time to Bali as well. Our room was amazing with alot of room and I loved how we entered and the bath tub was filled with flowers. It did get dark at night as our room was at the bottom and when we would come back from excursions, we would have a guard walk us back to our room but after a night or two we were confident to go on our own. The night before our wedding, I had asked if the ladies from our wedding guests could stay the night and the staff organised rooms quickly for them. Our wedding day, Bruno's wife (sorry I forgot your name! lovely lady) had met up with me to see how I was feeling and making sure everything was getting organised as planned. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our first time to Bali and to have our wedding here was amazing! I would be coming back here hopefully on our fifth year anniversary! Sorry for the late post but thank you La Villa Mathis.

Villa Song Saigon: "Sanctuary by the Saigon River"

Review by: DavidChallinger | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is an outstanding hotel. Beautifully refurbished former French colonial mansion with about 25 rooms. We stayed in a Sanctuary room on the top floor. High quality dining at tables beside the Saigon river. Rooms are beautifully decorated with every facility. Loved the TV that rotated 360. The hotel's own speedboat runs a shuttle service to the city centre. Staff excellent. Attention to detail (eg anti mossy spray on dining tables) My wife had a birthday while we were there. Bouquet of flowers and special cake unsolicited. "
