Tugu Bali: "A Luxurious Oasis Away from the Hectic Modern World"
This is our fourth visit to Hotel Tugu. Per usual the facilities/rooms/property is so well taken care of and the staff are attentive. Although the neighboring properties have gotten louder, it is still a wonderful place to get away from it all.The Apsara Rive Droite: "Wonderful hotel with first-class service from friendly staff"
"Everything about the Aspara Rive Droitte is just right. Mr Ai and Mr Hann (the management team) and Mr Ivan (the owner) went out of their way to make our stay wonderful and all the other staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, with the hotel's dedicated Aspara Queen taking 60 seconds to cross the Nam Khan and deliver you to the heart of Luang Prabang - and, conversely, escape to the more serene side of the Nam Khan. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, and breakfast wonderful. The pool is a welcome relief from the heat of Laos, with the bar just a few steps away. We spent two lovely nights at this boutique hotel while visiting Pingyao. It is beautiful, serene and wonderfully restored. Our room was not large, but very well appointed with a king platform bed, desk, armoire and mini-fridge with complementary drinks and snacks. The bathroom was perfect with a large shower with great hot water pressure. We ate in the restaurant our first night, and it was terrific! As usual in China, the food was modestly priced and the wine was fairly expensive. But we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! But the thing that make this little gem excel is the staff. We travel a lot and I don't think we have ever found a place where every staff member was so welcoming! Everyone spoke English and wanted to practice their skills whenever they could. When we went out, we were welcomed back with an opened front door. When we came in for breakfast (very good and a broad selection), we were greeted by name and asked how we slept. "This resort is the most fantastic that you can choose to visit while in Cambodia. The resort provided serene relaxation and the most delicious and authentic food that is truly out of this world. The staff within this resort were also remarkable, every need and want was attended to and you truly felt like royalty!! "My wife and I were on a 7 days motorcycle tour around Northern Thailand. When we got to Reverie Siam we liked it so much that we decided to stay 4 nights instead of two. The nearby roads and scenery offered some amazing day trips on the motorcycle and our afternoons and evening in Pai and especially at Reverie Siam were the perfect complement to busy (and hot) riding days. The staff were wonderful and we loved the pools (2), bars (2) and restaurant. Felt like we were back in the roaring 20’s. Drinks by the (cool) pool was a welcome afternoon treat. As professional chef and lover of all types of food, I was pleasantly surprised at the outstanding quality of the food, presentation and service at Locavore. Each dish was beautiful and delicious and sitting at the chefs counter made it even better as we could see the food being made and watch the silent precision behind the scenes. This meal is in my top three restaurant meals ( alongside The French Laundry, Napa Valley and Eden Hill, Seattle) of all time! I liked that the degustation size is small, as I left full but not overly heavy. In addition to the 5 course degustation we ordered we received no less than 6 amuse bouche and a whole tray of petit fours for dessert. The cocktails were awesome. This is a must do in Ubud! "For us this place was perfect. Absolute heaven. Its secluded, quiet, relaxing etc what more can you want? The resort is sympathetic to the environment and the staff are unobtrusive and get on with their job. I say this because I think you need to be aware of these things before booking. Because this is remote I don't think you should expect; Ultra high speed wifi, staff attending to your every need waiting on you hand on foot, luxury Egyptian cotton, etc.. This isn't that kind of place. If you want that go and find a faceless, corporate resort. Instead, check in, turn off your phone, put your swimming trunks on and relax..... The staff were super friendly, and I loved their level of service, approachable, friendly, nice etc... Not uptight in any way. (...) I liked the food, always a good variety - 5-6 pots from which you could help yourself and always plenty of it. An amazing private Resort with wonderful personalized service where you can have a peaceful and quiet time. The beach was really clean with fine white sand and not forgetting the many instagrammable spots. I would say this restaurant is the best restaurant that I ever had. I had a high expectation before I go because TripAdvisor award it as one of the best fine dining restaurant in the world. It ended up even exceed my expectation. I like every dishes that we ordered. All the waiters and waitress had very high standard of service. I will definitely come back again if I visit Chiang Mai again! And I would highly recommend my friends to go if they visit chiang Mai.
