Tugu Bali: "Thursday cultural event"
Thursday I went with some friends to see the Balinese dances and the truth is that very well worth it. We had a drink and we could be there the whole show. "Myself and two friends visited David's kitchen on a Saturday night, we did not have a reservation but David was very happy to accommodate us. He took the time to ask us about our trip and what our plans were, while also giving us advice on other attractions and bars in the area. The food and service was amazing, the best we've eaten on our trip. The staff regulately enquired as to whether we needed anything. The chocolate souffle an tiramisu were the best we've ever had. "I stayed with my wife and son for a couple of nights on one of the floating tents recently. Our hosts had arranged an extra bed for our son and a lovely bouquet of flowers for my wife's birthday. The 4 Rivers team really enjoy making your stay as comfortable and unique as they can. Swimming in the river straight from your lodge makes you feel like you're in the middle of a jungle. Do get up early and listen to the dawn chorus. The trip to the fishing village and collecting clams in a mangrove swamp is great. There are bugs around at night but they are dealt with. The management did everything they could to make arrangements when our plans changed at short notice. A big thank you to the whole team for making our stay so memorable. "My family (wife, toddler and an infant) spent 3 days at MesaStila over the 2015 Chinese New Year. The facilities are wonderful and even with 3 nights stay we did not have enough time to enjoy all the amenities. Our 20 month old daughter loved the opportunity to run free in the grass and splash away in the shallow section of the pool. (...)The staff were very friendly and helpful with all requests. I can't say enough about this lovely hotel... I thought about it for days after we moved on to another part of Bali. The location is perfect in canngu and the room was so beautiful. Also the staff and service was truly amazing. I've never been treated better by a hotel. If you want an unforgettable and unique experience in Bali this hotel is for you. You won't regret it!!! We've been here two times as a family with two children, now 8 and 14 and we all talk about this place as the world's best and most beautiful place. Cozy authentic cabins, sumptuous bathrooms, a lovely quiet setting, great island, super restaurant, possibility of yoga with the island as the views of all sides, super super service and help with everything. One can go on trips, but even the kids did not miss anything, even days just went with walks on the island and be grateful to have been allowed to see and be so unspoilt and beautiful place. "I am an architect and have very unique houses of our own that we rent, so I am extremely particular when it comes to staying elsewhere. We decided to escape Ubud for Gili Air for Jaime's birthday. Wow! We had a perfect romantic birthday getaway and honestly had a super hard time leaving our beautiful villa at Slow. Slow is carefully designed, with attention paid to all the small details that matter to a designer like me. It is comfy and extremely romantic and private. We felt like we were in our own private oasis. The staff was wonderful and prepared a birthday song for Jaime in 3 different Indonesian Languages. So sweet! We had a lovely massage at their stunning spa. The breakfast was yummy and a feast for the eyes and I love their handmade dishes. I have a sense of what other accommodations are available on Gili and I would never consider staying anywhere else. Huge praise for SLOW! Room Tip: I think all the rooms are equally beautiful! "Currently staying here with my family in executive suite for 5 nights. I usually wait awhile before doing reviews if at all, but I needed to do this. The hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Malang. Originally a colonial house that was renovated and expanded into the current 5 star hotel. Very centrally located in Malang. The decorations are very unique and truly a different feel with the various antiques and furnishings that have been collected by the owners over the years. Took a tour and hired a professional photographer to take pictures of us throughout the various spaces where the antiques are. Art, Ceramics, statues, ancient pottery, furniture, and much more. Staff are friendly and always very prompt and trying to help. My kids actually prefer to just stay in hotel rather than go out to see city and other attractions it’s so comfortable here! Rooms are clean and Well maintained. Spacious. Good mattress and linens etc. Well worth the stay and price is great for a true 5 Star hotel! Will stay here again no doubt."
