Les Maisons d’Itac: "Great place to stay"
We really enjoyed staying at this resort. We slept at Maison Ulysse and I really enjoyed the interior and . The resort has a lot of details and it very well looked after. It is hard to communicate with the staff as they hardly speak any English. But Bryan (the manager) is most of the time present to help and give you tipps. Due to the fact that this resort is very small, it has a familiar atmosphere which we enjoyed. We had a lovely stay at the Amata Lanna with our family (three young children and three adults). The team at the hotel were so helpful with sorting out ideas for visits and incredibly patient with our children. the rooms were lovely and the breakfast was just right. Samanea is delightful and the staff is very responsive to any questions or requests you may have. They truly desire to respond to your needs. We did a package for two vegetarians and the chef designed meals for us that were delcious - so much food! Lovely bungalows with mosquito nets. Charming woman who gives the spa treatments - her reflexologies and body wraps are so relaxing. Jonathan was very helpful in helping design the package and answer any questions we had. We had dinner on the beach, on the rooftop. Took a tour of the town. They have computers and a printer for your use. It was a peaceful stay where we could not have asked for anything more.Tugu Bali: "Amazing"
"What a superb property. Only 21 rooms, built on wooden structures and with great ethnic feel. The service is amazing and so is the food. There is direct access to the beach and the beach side garden is great to lounge in with tonnes of space. At night dinner can be served in this garden. Try it. The place is full of antique statues and is a photographers delight. The property is flush with greenery and water bodies. Loved it."Cuca: "Dinner"
We had dinner at Cuca our first night in Bali. We stayed at the Kayumanis Jimbaran and the restaurant was literally next to the resort so it was really convenient to get to. We both had the chefs tasting menu and a few cocktails. The presentation was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The value for the tasting menu is incredible. The rice tempura soft shell crab and the meat and potatoes were our favorite dishes. We would highly recommended!Muang La Resort: "Hidden gem"
By the moment we checked in, we felt at home. Great rooms on stlits, nice decoration and superb bahroom. Great riverview watching local life (bathing, laundrying, fishing) and buffaloes. Superb attentive service,such as hot herbal and ginger tea in the tub, local espresso coffeemachine on the terrace below the rooms. Friendly staff with a special mention to Rodolphe, the French Manager, who makes your stay being so special. Excellent creative meals and picknicks, enjoyable excursions. A great guide showed us the secrets of the Laos forests (edible herbs, medicinal plants), a true authentic experience. and last but not least, the MASSAGE....unique and perfect.Samanea Beach Resort: "Relaxing resort getaway"
"Samanea beach resort is a quiet haven when you want a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of work. This is about 2 1/2 hours away from Phnom Penh. This was recommended by a colleague at work. When we arrived, the manager was very warm and welcoming. The place is very nice, well kept and quiet - perfect for having drinks by the pool and lounging by their man made beach to watch the sunset. This is a place for when you want some time to think and recharge. The food selection was limited though. But we did get the crabs for dinner and they were really good. The rooms are all villas and they are very nice & spacious. I would have wanted more acu though but it is understandably very hot weather now in Cambodia. Overall, we had a great stay. "Enjoyed every course served with great service. I was one happy birthday girl. It was exciting to wait and see how each dish was served, and all were creatively made. Completely different from anything I have ever eaten before, and would definitely love to go back! "Beautiful gardens wrapped around central pond/lake overflowing with blossoming lotus flowers ... truly beautiful. Salt water pool, good kitchen and friendly staff. Beautiful rooms but shower recess could be better. Photos evidence a visit by Brad and Angelina Jolie staying here ... this speaks for itself. Quiet retreat at the end of sometimes frantic days. "
