Reverie Siam Pai: "Best hotel in Pai – great design. Superb breakfast!"
"This is by far the best hotel in Pai. Beautifully designed with quirky touches. The restaurant is voted the best in Pai - but isn't actually very good. However, the breakfast is sublime and staff incredible. The main swimming pool is lovely and relaxing, the 'riverside bar' is a waste of time so just head straight out and explore the unique Pai - it's what you are here for afterall? We had room / bungalow 8 which was gorgeous but a little dark, I would have liked to see another, brighter room. That said, really comfy bed and the bathroom with Jacuzzi is fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel!"Hotel Tugu Malang: "Oasis of peace"
I love this hotel. It's gorgeous, quirky, welcoming and the service is impeccable. An hour before we needed to leave to visit a mosque my daughter realized her only long sleeved shirt was incredibly wrinkled. We called reception and her shirt was promptly pressed. There are too many exquisite details to list but to name a few : fresh flowers, fruit and glass bottle of mineral water in the room, beautiful lobby with koi pond and fountain, and the quickest room service ever. As a first time visitor to Indonesia, I feel somewhat overwhelmed but returning to Hotel Tugu after a busy day sightseeing is like coming home.Heritage Suites: "What a surprise"
"We didn't know where we going to be taken with a bit of a ride to get here on some back streets. As son as walked through the door we were greeted with towels and drinks and felt very much at home. We were upgraded to a better room due to it being low season so very nice. Service was impeccable and the place was spotless. We loved having the pool to come back to and yes we did swim au natural the night the manger dared us to being not many people booked in. :) We also had cocktails this night as she was doing a training for the staff so a very nice evening. The food was awesome could not fault at all. we would totally recommend this place and would happily come back here."The Island Lodge: "Beautiful stay in MeKong"
"We were picked up in Saigon and driven for about 2 hours to this hotel. It was an amazingly beautiful spot to spend 2 days and relax and explore. Husband had a wonderful massage and the pool and lobby areas were gorgeous. The whole setting is very ""Indochine"" and so well done. The staff was very attentive and tried to help with all we could ask -- The breakfast which was included was delicious and we also had dinner there as there was no where else near by to go easily. We walked around near the hotel--but it is not near any other things that are places to see. We did do their bike/boat tour to Ben Tre which was wonderful. Our guide--from the hotel--was so nice and we took a boat to Ben Tre--then biked all over the island--stopping to see different fruits, ect... and visiting pagodas and locals on the way. Ben Tre is so nice, shaded and easy to navigate with the guide. We loved this place and the owner and staff were very hospitable! Room Tip: we had gorgeous room with balcony overlooking the pool and river"Mudanwan Villa: "Quiet, beautiful, comfortable"
We stayed in Mudanwan 2 nights. Everything is great, besides you may have some same food in these two days... We went fishing, swimming, stayed in our private outdoor hot spring pool, sit in the 2F library you can see the whole landscape of the place. My little boy loves the ducks most, he always looks at the ducks and chases them, ha... This place is kind of far from north Taiwan. If you go there from north Taiwan, remember to reserve 2-3 nights.Villa Song Saigon: "Just what we wanted"
The hotel is situated a little out of the mad rush of HCMC but with the boat shuttle downtown and the pleasant outlook dining on the terrace alongside the river it was a great way to start our holiday. The staff could not have been friendlier or more professional. Their recommendations where to go in the city for money changing etc were spot on. And having an al a carte breakfast of the highest quality was a geat way to start the day. The one dinner we had here was first class and the cocktails were delightful. An indication of the quality of the hotel. It is shutting soon for renovations- the step down to the terrace does need attention- but while thta happens the staff are not laid off but are getting English lessons! And that is only building on an already first class ability to communicate in a foreign language. The attention of the staff to us was a highlight and reason in itself to return -and we shall.Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "“Leopard Safar”"
"While this is an experience that cannot be put into words, I can only recommend this experience as a must see from the bottom of my heart for anyone who is lucky enough to be touring Sri Lanka. While it cannot be guaranteed at any time you will be lucky enough to see leopard as they are wild creatures in the wild... the passion that all the rangers have for their job is above and beyond. The accommodation will surely make you feel at home as will the outdoor showers that have to be seen to be believed. At the end of a long hot safari the jungle bar is waiting with any refreshment you may require... as are the nice cold towels that are from heaven The meals are to die for... with every whim required to... and if you leave the table hungry you have no one to blame but yourself Any doubts you may have through the night are quelled with a mobile phone within reach of your bed for instant access for assistance at any hour...peace of mind that will leave you sleeping like a baby Many many congrats to Noel Rodrigos Leopard Safaris and all the special memories that will stay with you for many years to come Simply a must for anyone who wants to experience the best that Sri Lanka can offer Tracey Evans"Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Unexpected luxury"
"This is a lovely boutique hotel that sits on Inle Lake. The service was wonderful, the staff friendly and helpful. All of our meals were included in the price of the room and the food was excellent. Our room opened onto the lake - very peaceful and the room was luxurious. The hotel has a program where it is training young men and women to work in the hotels with tourists. The student's education is at no charge. In addition the owner is trying to reintroduce Bumese cats into the country. About 39 cats are maintained on the property in a very nice inclosure. We opted for a guide, Min Min Tun, mmt.inle12061977@gmail.com, to shows us around the lake. We found this very helpful as it enabled us to see more then the usual tourist spots. I would return to this lovely place again and again. Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent"SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "A beautiful restaurant"
"I only managed to try the top 2 recommended restaurants in Yangon - Seeds and Le Planteur and have to say that Seeds is number 1 for good reasons. Everything in this restaurant is beautiful - the food, decor and grounds which fronts the lake with lotus flowers. It’s perhaps better to come before night falls in order to fully appreciate the surroundings. The place is a little difficult to find and signage not very prominent so do ensure that your driver knows it before you set off. Food is gorgeous and the service is good and staff cheerful. If you only time to visit one restaurant in Yangon, make it this one."Tugu Malang: "Magic!"
Everything is excellent: staff, the restaurant (great menu) , rooms, afternoon tea, the decors, ... The staff will give you all sort of info and great advice. Don't forget to visit the Bakery next door: Roti Tugu. Highly recommended! One tip: book your table for dinner.
