Maison Polanka: "Best hotel I’ve stayed at"

Review by: Nandita R | Source: Trip Advisor
My boyfriend and I stayed here for four days and everything - from the food to the service to the rooms - was perfect. The staff works hard to make your experience perfect. The Green Room is beautiful as are the grounds and the pool. I've stayed in several hotels in several countries and this one is by far the best I've stayed at. Every detail is impeccable. The staff also helped us coordinate our tours to the temples and packed picnic breakfasts. Shoutout to our tuk tuk driver Vong - we loved him!

Maduzi Hotel: "Hidden retreats in the busy Bangkok"

Review by: AnnisaLaksmi | Source: Trip Advisor
"I am glad i found Maduzi Hotel in my Bangkok Hotels research before the trip, I wish that I found it sooner before we booked another hotel but me and my husband were lucky that we get to stay here for 3 nights out of our 6 days holiday in Bangkok. The location of this hotel is just a 3-5mins walk from Asok BTS which made it easier for us to travel to any corner of the city also 10-15 mins walk to Nana. The room itself was so fascinating. It was worth the price that we paid. Super big room with a very comfy king-sized bed and also a relaxing couch by the window. When we walked in to the bathroom, it was like we were in a celebrity's house. Big mirror with lovely lighting, walk-in closet, and the best part of it was the bathtub X jacuzzi! It was huge and quite deep, it could fit 2 people in it, and to fill the tub, the water will fall from the roof. Very unique and nice touch! On the other hand, they have a coffee machine in each of the room, also you can have free tea or coffee at their bar for 24/7. It was very relaxing after so much of walking around. They didn't have many breakfast options, but we tried almost every menu and they were delicious.. Every morning that's the thing we look after and if you wake up late you can have your breakfast as your brunch. I'm so looking forward to be back here and enjoy all of the fascinating facilities Maduzi has. Thank you for making our holiday memorable."

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "THE BEST"

Review by: eric e | Source: Trip Advisor
We traveled through 12 time zones for our second two week stay at this wonderful place and found it even better than our last trip. Why? The food, accommodation, daily yoga, beach walking for miles, warm ocean swimming, spectacular sunsets and friendly/accommodating staff set the stage for a truly magical experience of total relaxation and joy. We find a level of serenity and solitude that is the best. The uniqueness of this special place touches our souls and we are already planning a return trip.

The Apsara Rive Droite: "Dinner by the River"

Review by: rudyj_17 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Stumbled upon this restaurant on our first night in Luang Prabang. Delicious food and lovely outdoor seating. I had the duck with papaya salad and it hit the spot! My friend tried the soup and that was also tasty. Would definitely try the hotel on my next visit - it looked clean, had a nice location and they offer bike rentals for their guests. Stayed February 2017, traveled with friends"

Cuca: "Best food EVER!"

Review by: DurianKaur | Source: Trip Advisor
"I visited this restaurant with my husband and the food was so DELICIOUS! I like the concept of this restaurant - great ambience, well trained staff who will look after you and well presented food! We ordered a range of tapas but my favourite were the pork buns - give them a try! Thank you Cuca :)"

Reverie Siam: "Stunning hotel"

Review by: JDRH25 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"This is a fantastic hotel, located on the outskirts of the samll town of Pai, in northern thailand. I stayed here with my girlfriend in June 2015 and the place far exceeded both of expectations. The desgin of the resort is fantastic, the french colonial theame is very well done and the rooms are perfect. The resort is quite and peaceful, a perfect place to unwind and relax. The restuarant offers a tappas style menu, which for us was actually a nice change from the more traditional thai dishes on offer elsewhere, although there are plenty of options in town if you wish to stick to thai. The chefs boards in particular were very good as a lunch/snack in the afternoon. (...) Overall though this hotel really is a gem, every aspect of it works wel togther and staff work hard to make your stay perfect, it is fantastic value for money, and although more than many other options in the area, it is well worth it."

Glenburn Tea Estate: "A delight"

Review by: David270 | Source: Trip Advisor
"How do I start to describe Glenburn? At the beginning, I guess. The journey up from Bagdogra/Siliguri is a 4/5 hour drive, and, once you get to the hills, the road twists and turns, is two way only, and has enough slow traffic to make overtaking difficult/dangerous, but, except in the couple of places where the tar has broken up and washed away, it’s OK. The last bit, tho’, when you turn down off the road to Darjeeling and Ghum, is very slow and very bumpy, just as they admit on their website. We came down it in the dark, and it was only two days later when we went up it in the daylight that we could see why it was uncomfortable – it is very poor in places. BUT, please don’t let that put you off! Glenburn is delightful. Set in a working tea estate, with its own tea “gardens” for acres and acres all around, the processing factory a short walk down the driveway, and workers villages dotted down and across the slopes, it is surrounded by green, green hills (or it was in Oct 2016). There are tracks and paths and a road or two through the estate, and down to the river, so walking is lovely. The accommodation is essentially split in two. The original estate manager’s bungalow has a long wide veranda on the front, a lovely “old fashioned” communal dining room, with one big dining table (and maybe 12 chairs round it), a lounge and 4 bedrooms, all with staff areas behind. Then the newer bungalow, set a little lower down the point, has 4 big bedrooms, a sitting room, another couple of verandas and another set of kitchens on one level, with the Spa rooms below. We had the Singalila Suite in the new bungalow. It was big, with very large ensuite bathroom, with walk-in shower, 4 poster bed (with a comfortable, new mattress), teak floors, french doors on one side and a lovely little bay window area to sit and drink our morning “bed tea”, looking out to the west towards the Himalayas – sadly, in the 6 nights we were there (in early October) the clouds never lifted enough for us to see Kanchenjunga, but that was our fault for going so soon after the monsoon. The meals were excellent. Breakfasts were served on the lower bungalow’s terrace, and were fruit, juices, toast, and eggs any way you’d like, plus a daily “special”. The lunches we had were certainly “special” – one day we walked down to the river-side, along to Sikkim and then had lunch of soup, quiches, bread and salads, on the lawn by the “fishing bungalow”, and then walked back-up (that was hot!). Another day we walked up towards the main road and had lunch of carrot soup, tuna sandwiches and salad served to us at a picnic table and chairs set up on the empty roadside, looking at the spectacular views. Diners were generally communal in main bungalow, but on two nights we asked to dine on our own, and were happily served on one or other of the terraces. Diners were varied “curries”, one night Tibetan, another South Indian, for example, but one night it was a “roast”. We stayed 6 nights, so five days, at the start of out trip, and had lots to do. A day trip out to Darjeeling for the Darjeeling/Ghum toy train, and a visit to St Paul’s School, walks around the estate, down to the river and Sikkim, and a tour of the tea factory were all fun – though the walking can be pretty steep if you choose for it to be. We loved it all, but above all, the staff were terrific; the local staff were happy, smiling, and keen to do well, and the managers, Fay and Will, were just super – efficient, kind, friendly and very well suited to their roles. Finally, was the bumpy ride down to the Estate worth it? Without a doubt."

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Amazing food"

Review by: Tam G | Source: Trip Advisor
Have been here twice - once for lunch and once for a special dinner. Both times were amazing - the setting is beautiful, service amazing and the food (the real treasure of the place). High quality and tasty - food that I could get in Europe (which is hard to find in Myanmar). The set menu was pricey but worth it - truffle ravioli and lamb come highly recommended. The chocolate fondant is amazing too!

Muang La Resort: "We Will Go Back"

Review by: Caroline D | Source: tripadvisor.com
Set by the river and surrounded by beautiful countryside, this is a lovely place to stop for a few days on a trip round Northern Laos. The resort is extremely well maintained and the staff are friendly, welcoming and professional. The rooms are stylish, well equipped and very clean. The bathrooms are excellent. We went on a couple of trips in the local area while we were there, and although the weather was very wet during our stay, our excellent guide made sure we got the best out of them, which wasn't difficult as the scenery in the area is stunning. As others have said, the food at the resort is very good and the staff, rightly, take a lot of pride in it. In spite of this, they were still very tolerant of of our fussy teenagers and were happy to adapt the five course evening meals to suit them. We organised our transport through the resort, from Luang Prabang and onwards to Luang Namtha. It wasn't cheap, but was well worth it as the road from Luang Prabang to Oudomxai is poor in parts and our driver was excellent. All in all, it's hard to fault this resort, in fact it's quite remarkable to find one of such quality in such an isolated area.
