SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "A Meal to Remember"

Review by: 希仁 包 | Source: Trip Advisor
We dined here about two weeks ago. A truly fantastic meal and incredibly beautiful outdoor space. It is expensive but well worth the cost. My only complaint would be I hate it when the owner of a restaurant stops by the tables and asks how your meal is. I guess some people might like that, but I'd prefer to be left in peace. Anyhow, this was the best meal I've had since an incredible dinner two years ago in Madrid.

The Village House: "Awesome hidden getaway"

Review by: Nicuma | Source: Trip Advisor
"Stepping onto the compound (after trying to find the place), you just know privacy is what you'll be getting. Quickly greeted by the person manning the front counter, you know you're in good hands. At least I did. I arrived later than my partner did but the fact that this frontdesk person knew who I was showed a level of care in who the guests are. It's amazing despite having strict rules, it's really for the best benefit for everyone including ourselves. The place is fancy in its simplicity and rest assured the absence of cell service isn't a disservice but exactly what every person that comes down here needs! It is a getaway... And a great one. We didn't plan for this trip and just settled for beds in the dorm. Honestly I've stayed at backpackers and when you think dorm some or many might cringe.. But if more dorms were like these, I'm definitely going to stay in dorms more! The facilities are amazing. I mean, yes 6 beds (3 bunk beds) in the room but it's there for sleep which is fine and the bathroom attached to it is the best with running hot water so it's definitely all good! The absence of a TV is expected of a dorm room but seriously there wasn't a need for a TV (that's what the TV room is for at the main building... And there are books too!!) Now this place isn't for kids and it's good they made it strict with no kids under the age of 12 (or so I'm told) and that makes sense because the whole point of the trip is to relax and chill and laze and be free from the hustle and bustle of life. And that's what you'd do. I spent most of my time on the lawn chair just looking at the pool. Occasionally going in the pool being a hippo or whatever water mammal that just lazes in the water. Besides just looking at the pool you'd definitely pick up any reading material (I opted for comics) and just remain on your back. Relaxed. Did I mention you'll just be relaxing and not be doing nothing much? Coz it's just that freaking good. Service was actually the best as the people there would check to see if you need anything. The kitchen closes early at 8 pm so by 5 pm the dinner order has to be made which is cool because they do tell you that so no point to whine about it. Food was amazing and I was overwhelmed by the portion of pasta I got. I mean I'm a pasta monster and can really down it but this one I wasn't able to finish. It's cool coz it's creamy pasta and no one can really down a whole lot of that when I think about it.. The bar is open till 11pm so that's cool. Reasonably priced food as it shows in the quality and prep. Oh and breakfast was included in the room cost which being complimentary, they offer basic breakfast choices of either English breakfast or pancakes. Cereal is there too and that's all you can eat. I think. All in all, place is sweet and definitely going to be a regular thing. Possibly. Likely . Kudos to the people who made it work so well!! Highly recommended for those needing a break. Room Tip: If you're on a budget, get the dorm room. Dorm room (Jala) opposite the dining area is better th... See more room tips Stayed October 2016, traveled as a couple"

Tugu Bali: "Discovery of a Treasure"

Review by: Maisie C | Source: tripadvisor.com
This hotel was one of the most wonderful experiences we have had in many years of traveling the world, staying in some of the finest places. The hotel is unique, Staff is superb and food experience special. We had the Royal Tugudom dinner with our family and while relatively expensive was certainly worth it. The staff went beyond the norm and Pande and Frank were exceptionally helpful We were in the Puri le Mayeur suite. What a treat.

Maduzi Hotel: "Worth every cent"

Review by: 698wangj | Source: Trip Advisor
Stayed here for 4 nights. Despite noise coming from the roads outside with Hawkers peddling their street food, the hotel remain very tranquil and peaceful. Love their unique breakfast (not buffet style). Location wise, it's is within walking distance from Asoke BTS and Terminal 21. Just walk through exchange tower to get on the pedestrian bridge. Room is spacious with an extra large bed. However personally I would prefer firmer pillows with support. Otherwise, nothing to dislike about this hotel. Would definitely love to stay here again for my next trip to Bangkok.

Supanniga Home: "A sanctuary in rural setting"

Review by: manatch | Source: Trip Advisor
Suppanniga Home is a private estate which has been converted to a bed and breakfast in a rural setting in Khon Kaen. It is a lovely little place with beautiful landscape and you will experience a slow and relaxing life of Isan. The room is comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast is cooked to order and delivered to your villa. The staff are friendly but I must say not most efficient. There is room for improvement in service. Among many amenities in the room, I appreciated an in-room Nespresso machine. You can have a nice Thai lunch ordered to your room or served in outdoor dining area. The hotel is a bit pricey but it is worth a try.

Les Maisons d’Itac: "A small but fantastic resort!"

Review by: MrUppsala | Source: Trip Advisor
We spent a long weekend in the bamboo house at this small but beautiful resort. Great experience. You are sleeping 3 meters from the beach! You hear the waves and all kinds of sounds in the night, very relaxing. The atmosphere at the place is great. It is sort of at the end of the road, so there is no restaurants or things to do within walking distance. But the staff and the manager Bryan are very serviceminded and will help you with anything you want to do or go to. We recommend you to eat all meals at the resort and then there's no need to go anywhere else. Just stay at the resort and enjoy it. We would love to come back some day!

The Island Lodge: "Serenity"

Review by: C V | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Recently went here a second time and it pure bliss. The resort is stunning, beautifully designed accompanied by good service and a wonderful, peaceful atmosphere. We live in Saigon and we usually travel outside the country when we have any spare time but we make time to come to Island Lodge because it's that's great. We're actually going for our third visit in less than a week. Can't wait. "

Dewakan: "Amazing"

Review by: John H | Source: Trip Advisor
"This restaurant is out of the centre of KL about 35 minutes without traffic an hour with. Don't let this put you off. The food is spectacular and from an international perspective reasonably priced. We had the 10 course degustation which with 3 pre entrees and an extra dessert worked out at 14 different and very interesting dishes for RM250(I think). The food while paying homage to Malaysia is very much modern cuisine. Every dish was unique."

Rahai’i Pangun: "One of the best trips we have ever done"

Review by: painter2808 | Source: TRip Advisor
"We had the most marvellous and memorable 4 day trip on the boat in October. The staff were absolutely superb. Only superlatives will do. We were so fortunate to have Putu who informed us without lecturing. He was so easy to get on with. We were very fortunate and my husband, daughter and I had the boat to ourselves because the other family booked on the boat wanted to do a private charter. We have been on beautiful boats on the backwaters in Kerala on several occasions and also on boats in Myanmar and Vietnam but this beats them all by a mile. The river was serene and we hardly saw any tourist boats only the locals going about their work. Seeing the orangutans and learning about them was one of the best things that we have done in a long time. They are such beautiful and intelligent animals and I now try not to buy any products which contain palm oil which is destroying their habitat. "
