Tugu Lombok: "Quirky and very special."

Review by: Amanda H | Source: tripadvisor.com
This is such a quirky hotel. I was slightly alarmed on guest impressions because this is definitely not a sophisticated, one dimensional hotel. This is a one off. Beautiful situation right on the beach, big rooms with outside bathrooms and plunge pools, huge grounds, two pools - the new one bring a large infinity pool with fresh water and I always had it to myself). Plenty of sunbeds so you never had to rush anywhere and the staff were all completely charming. We were made to feel very welcome and everyone knew our names. The manager was very visible and personable and, like all the staff, seemed to genuinely enjoy his job. A very special place. Recommend the BBQ on the beach (the staff went to great lengths to make it special and the food was fab). Also recommend Gillian Island snorkelling trip where we saw lots of turtles which was a highlight

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "One of the best hotels in Nepal"

Review by: Andrew H | Source: Trip Advisor
I have visited Tiger Mountain several times and I now regard the staff there as 'friends'. The team led by Marcus, Jhalak and Dol Raj are very friendly and helpful. The food is some of the best available in Nepal. Local curry is excellent and the Western dishes are wholesome and tasty. The hotel focuses on ecotourism and so tries to use local organic produce as much as possible. The large garden is full of birds and butterflies and the naturlist team available for nature walks are very experienced. The swimming pool has possibly the best hotel swimming pool view in the World. I shall return!

The Island Lodge: "Lovely place"

Review by: swedishfoodiee | Source: tripadvisor.com
Absolutely gorgeous hotel with amazing surroundings. Listed here as a 3 star but definitely worth 5+. The rooms are spacious and luxurious with a beautiful design and amazing bathroom. The pool area is great . If you are looking for somewhere peaceful to relax and rewind, then this is the place to book. You won't regret it . Thank you to all the staff and the owners , Francois and Michel , it has been a pleasure and we hope to see you again soon .

Inle Princess Resort: "Lakefront luxury"

Review by: A TripAdvisor Member | Source: Trip Advisor
From arrival to departure, everything at Inle Princess resort was an absolute delight. The enormous lakefront room is filled handcrafted decorations and a beautiful ceiling that stretches 10 metres above you. The outdoor shower is a fantastic addition. The resort grounds are again filled with handmade pots, signs and other decorative elements - all crafted on-site. The pool is wonderful, and quiet, the free breakfast consists of warm freshly made pastries and delicious eggs to order, and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. To have received a hand-wrapped and hand-written gift from the staff at the end of the stay was the icing on the cake. A wonderful experience. One minor criticism was that we found the taxi to the airport to be a little expensive so we sourced our own but a very minor blot on an otherwise fantastic stay.

Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "What a great experience"

Review by: nathalieyes | Source: tripadvisor.com
"I spend 3 nights at this beautiful Hanok and it was an amazing experience ! Rakkojae is in the hearth of Bukchon, in a very quiet alley. But still, its in the centre of Seoul, Anguk Subway Station is just 5 minutes away, and plenty of restaurants, sights, shops etc. are in easy walking distance (...) Dinner and breakfast are included, and are traditional and very tasty. You can also have a continental breakfast with toast and eggs if you prefer. Korean breakfast was with smoked fish (very tasty), abalone porridge (tasty, but a bit too excotic for me as a breakfast dish) and I was glad that on the third morning (I had continental breakfast on the second morning) there was a tasty soup instead of the porridge. The ladies who run Rakkojae are very friendly. I tried the Mud Sauna on the 3rd night and liked it a lot (so I wish I had tried it on the first night already). Overall, I loved it at Rakkojae, and can only recommend it. Its an amazing and beautiful place, that words can really describe. You have to go there and experience it yourself. And if you can, stay for at least 2 nights."

Sukoon Houseboat: "Beautiful, relaxing and top notch in every way"

Review by: Ants B | Source: Trip Advisor
Our whole crew stayed here whilst filming a documentary for ITV and we adored it. Such a beautiful boat, and set in gorgeous surroundings. Altaf and his staff were charming and attentive, and we would have loved to have stayed ALOT longer!

Sanak Retreat Bali: "The absolute highlight of our Bali trip"

Review by: mollerCopenhagen | Source: Trip Advisor
"Now this is not the ordinary 5 star luxury resort kind of thing, it is so much better. We had great expectations upfront reading all the positive reviews and honestly were still positively surprised. This place simply is beautiful. The view, the rice paddies, the pool, in fact the whole atmosphere is so relaxed and idyllic, that you can’t help getting in harmony with nature. We stayed for four nights in a two bedroom villa, and it was nice and spacious, with a beautiful view from both balconies. Interior is basic and you won’t find aircon and other modern facilities like television etc. But you won’t need it, as temperature is very pleasant at night and the layout of the villa makes it possible to get fresh air during the day. Only room for improvement is the relatively limited closet space not matching a two bedroom villa, but we just kept most of our luggage in the suitcase. Bathroom and toilet is very basic and especially the toilet a little dark, also hot water is on/off most times, but not a huge issue for us. The restaurant is really great with very good food and on top has an unobstructed view of the valley. Food is as mentioned really great and prices are very moderate despite the remote location. You are served free water everywhere, really a nice touch. Staying at the resort you will probably have most of your meals at the restaurant, and perhaps would like to see a slightly different menu for lunch to get some variation, but there are still lots of option on the menu to satisfy most guests. We used the spa almost every day, and it’s a really great spa experience they offer at Sanak. Definitely the best spa we experienced in Bali. The spa has a really beautiful reception area and treatment rooms, nice welcome and very professional service throughout the spa treatment. Maybe a mirror to use after the treatment could be the final touch towards perfection. The pool is beautiful and the view is fantastic, so you could easily spend hours here just enjoying the beautiful view. Not enough sunbeds though, so a little busy at times and people actually had to sit on the grass, but guess they don’t want to fill up the pool area with more sunbeds spoiling the otherwise exclusive settings. Maybe a few extra sunbeds as backup could be an idea. But who wants to stay at the pool all day anyway, when surrounded by such beautiful nature. They offer a lot of different tours of northern Bali, we visited Bedugul and Jatiluwih but our favorite was the village trek with a local and very informative guide, absolutely a highlight. If possible try not to miss the local kids practice dancing in front of the pool – really fantastic. We have praised the villas, the restaurant, the spa, the pool and the local guided tours, but probably the best thing about Sanak Retreat is their wonderful staff. They are all smiling, positive, helpful and definitely a huge part of the total Sanak experience. They are all living in the local village and there’s no doubt that they are very proud of working at and supporting Sanak retreat, this is probably what makes this place so unique. From the welcome to the departure we were treated like friends. We stayed many nice places around Bali but no doubt that Sanak was the absolute highlight of beautiful Bali."

Rachamankha: "Beautiful Boutique Hotel"

Review by: blakeHK | Source: Trip Advisor
"Location is within the square but a little bit out of the main shopping and food areas in the old town of Chiang Mai. However it is only a 10-12 minute walk into the main central food areas and this slight isolation gives the hotel a sense of pure tranquility that is difficult to find in this bustling little city. Another bonus is the hotel is right next to one of our favourite temples (Phra Singh Temple) The property itself is pure class; the courtyard is stunning and there is plenty of places on the property to relax and read a book or take in the amazing architecture, art and culture that is oozing from this gorgeous hotel. The pool is beautiful and again another great place to relax and unwind. The staff are friendly but not over bearing which we found perfect. Sometimes staff can get a little too familiar but not in this case. The restaurant was fabulous and the breakfasts although not large were perfect to set up the day. There were a few things that were not 100% but over all we were very happy with our stay and would certainly go back. The WiFi on the property was not strong and would often drop but luckily we bought a pocket WiFi so wasn't a big issue. Although the staff did spray often there were many mosquito's around but we bought some bug spray at the local 7/11 and used it in the room before we left each evening. Also the rooms were appointed with mosquito nets which was great. There was also a real lack of power points in the room. I would take a power bar with you if you are expecting to charge anything more than a phone...but I guess this place is for relaxing and not for electronics ;)"

Glenburn Tea Estate: "Truly worth the back breaking journey"

Review by: ranjanapte | Source: Trip Advisor
"We travelled from Pelling to Glenburn and the journey to put it mildly is HORRENDOUS. ""Roads""""do not exist and one can feel the bumps in every corner of your body. The last 45mins to an hour is equally bad but the place more than makes up for the travel hazard. Faye and Will (the outgoing Managers) take great care of your every need and the service is extremely personalized. One is not rushed into doing anything, whether it be food timings or day trips. Ranjan Chhetri the local manager is gracious and feeds you with anecdotes of the surroundings. We stayed at the Rose Suite which is well appointed and has ALL creature comforts besides truly living up to its name!!! We ere also lucky to meet up with the estate manager Mr Hussain. He regaled us with stories of the region where he has spent more than 26yrs. The common dining area is a good meeting point fro all the guests but one also has an option to dine in your room with silver service. A must visit again place. Excellent collection of books and magazines to read. No television in the room is a great boon. Kindly try and do something about the road to and from the property."

"Beautiful hideaway in the middle of the Mekong Delta. Room, food, staff and pool amazing; we loved our stay. A special thank-you to the wonderful gardener who jumped fully clothed into the Mekong to rescue my bifocal glasses when they accidentally dropped into river ! Thanks Amanda & Martin x"
