Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Priceless!"

Review by: soma7662 | Source: Trip Advisor
We were at the Golden Buddha Beach in January and we loved every minute of our stay! A big thank you to Valerie and to all the friendly staff who made our stay unforgettable. Now back to winter I wish I was still there. Amos

Villa Song Saigon: "away from downtown, along the river"

Review by: Brian F | Source: Trip Advisor
if you don't want to stay near downtown HCMC Villa Song might be your best choice located along the river, they offer free speed boat ride to the city, which is pretty cool! and if you like beers, they will refill your mini bar with 2 beers overnight for free too!

Slow Villas and Spa: "Made our honeymoon memorable"

Review by: Daniella A | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent 5 days of our honeymoon here and enjoyed every second! The staff were super helpful and friendly, providing detailed maps with places to go and eat - they even packed us a lunchbox for a day trip to Lombok. The room itself is very clean, bed comfy and all amenities great - loved the outdoor shower! Being able to hire bikes is a great idea (although I think this should be a free service). The breakfasts are amazing! So much choice and was delicious (those crepes!), and room service/delivery for those rainy days was handy. Overall we can't fault Slow Villas in any way. I would definitely stay again when visiting Gili Air. Thank you!"

Sanak Retreat Bali: "Stunning view, great boutique resort, overpriced restaurant, great villas."

Review by: EmNaMi | Source: Trip Advisor
"Sanak retreat is an wonderful butique hotel. Stunningly beautiful situated in the rice field with an amazing view. The style of the hotel is balinese with a touch of the ""shabby chick"". Most of the villas have two floors. The bottom floor is completely dark and private with plants all around and the top floor is full of light, has a splendid view, windows all around and two porches. So make a deal with your kids before you arrive! No one wants the bottom floor! The resort truly appreciates its surroundings and don't play music, which we highly appreciate!! The restaurant have an equally stunning view, the pool is beautiful with sun beds and rice fields. There were almost no mosquitos when we were there, so you could enjoy all of your evening on the porch. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was fresh and great. They do a great childrens massage in the spa. Climate is wonderful up here. Even a bit chilly in the morning! We also had a 3-hour guided tour to the nearby rice fields and a water fall arranged by the hotel. The guide was absolutely great. Spoke good english and we learned so much about Bali. It was one of our best activities on our trip. We also did a jungle trek and canoo trip on a lake also arranged by the hotel. Also recommendable. So are there any downsides of this pearl of a resort? The restaurant prices were the most expensive we encounted in all of Bali and Gili Trawangan. They charge 35.000 rupiah for a Soft drink/ Coca Cola. You really can't go anywhere nearby to eat or shop and they know it. A little bit unsympathetic to exploit this to that degree. We just came from Pemuteran where the beach front restaurant charged 10.000 rupiahs for the same. Prices were generally the double or even more on comparable food items, e.g. Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng, Mixed skewers... Some travel agencies praise their food. We think it was okay, but not more than that. We ate all our meals here for 3 days. They have a childrens menu, but portions are so small that an 8 year old have to order two dishes to be full, so nothing saved there. A pizza is the size of a side plate. Generally the portions are small. We had no hot water for almost our entire stay. They sure tried to fix it but with no succes for more than 3 minutes. Toilets can't take paper, so you are asked to dispose it in a basket next to the toilet. Urgh! So a few downsides, but I will still recommend this boutique resort to anyone who wants to see the best of Bali. It is beautiful and you will enjoy the view!"

"Thank you MesaStila for a fantastic weekend at your resort. I was very impressed by the kindness of your staff. They new exactly who we were when we came. So helpful and smiling all of them. The resort is very pretty and kept in old traditional style all around. And So peaceful and quiet. The rooms are big and cosy. The garden is very nice and nice coffee plantation tour. Spa is also really good. Wow! I definitely come back! "

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "If I never eat out again before I die – I won’t have missed much"

Review by: Tintinara12344 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Early January found us in Yangon and birthdays to celebrate. Being treated to Seeds by our son and daughter-in-law was a gift beyond compare. The setting, the food and wine, the attention to detail all delivered with what appeared to be a comfortably casual air but so obviously wasn't. Felix and Lucia you are to be congratulated not only for your food but for the delightful attitude that you have bestowed upon your staff. Cocktails by the lake is the perfect starter to a truly wonderful dining experience. I would strongly recommend making Seeds a non-negotiable part of any visit to Yangon."

Inle Princess Resort: "Eine Institution"

Review by: Hubertus319759 | Source: Trip Advisor
Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"

The Apsara Rive Droite: "Fantasic"

Review by: PutneySW | Source: Trip Advisor
"We had tried Tamarind a few yards along the road but they were fully booked so we walked on and found this place which seemed better. Took a great table on the terrace, plenty of room and overlooking the Mekong, couldn't have bee better! We enjoyed a really fabulous meal, plenty to eat and drink with the most sublime dessert. Two beer Lao, one vodka tonic, Khan Soy, Fried Mushrooms, Fish Cak, Tapioca, green veg for 363,000. Totally awesome with great service. Stayed December 2016, traveled with family"

Dewakan: "Impressive modern Malaysian cuisine"

Review by: Boonchuan | Source: Trip Advisor
I had a dinner here on the christmas night. Impressive 10 course meal with additional snacks and dessert. It's a marathon dinner of almost 3 hours with variety of food items to try. Each dish is unique and burst of flavours. The chef uses local herbs and spices creatively in each meal. You will think that such a simple ingredient wouldn't be done it this way. Each meal is also an art by itself especially blue mackerel with raja ulam which the cured fish meat topped with edible flowers. Overall almost all the dishes were excellent except two which I don't quite like it. However, the food concept may not be for everyone. People who don't like the smell of ulam and spices may not like the overwhelming flavour of the dishes here. Also you also need to be patient and enjoying good time here of enduring 3 hours of eating session. The food here are even better than some of the Michelin star establishment. Dewakan does not serve ala-carte meal. They only have 3 or 4 course meal during lunch or 5 or 10 course during dinner. Price starts at MYR80.00 for 3 course lunch and the dinner of 10 course at MYR209.00. I would say for fine dining, the price is actually quite reasonable with total of 10 course.

Rachamankha: "Location, location, location"

Review by: JYandTY | Source: Trip Advisor
Best place to stay in Chiangmai as its central to everywhere. The hotel is a 5-star oasis to escape from the city yet it is located in the city. The staff are friendly and professional making our stay extremely seamless. The room is exquisite with old Thai charm yet furnished with modern day necessities. We definitely would come back here next time!
