Tugu Lombok: "Amazing"
I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but this place was so impressive that I felt I should. The hospitality here was better than any other 5* hotel I have visited. The people are friendly in a really genuine way, and the hotel just has a charm about it that is incomparable to anywhere else I have stayed. It's not something that can be bought, it just has a story to tell and it's authentic and you kind of feel like you are part of the story of the place while you are there. The hotel arranged a scooter for us and when we got a flat tyre they sent someone to pick up the bike and someone else to make sure we were ok and then a driver to take us where we wanted to go free of charge.. an impressive rescue mission! In comparison to gilli, it was just above and beyond miles better. Quieter, cleaner, nicer and so relaxing. It's not right for party goers, but for a place to unwind and relax.. it was perfect. I would love to go back one day.. can't recommend it enough. Thank you Tugu team for taking such good care of us!!Tugu Lombok: "Happy Place"
Spent 4 days at Hotel Tugu at the end of a brief trip around Indonesia with the family. This is an excellent hotel on the beach. It has some amazing buildings and antiques which make it unique but the best bit is the happy and attentive staff. The kids even got taught how to make animals from the bath towels by the housekeeper. Also ideal for golf at nearby course and, of course, beach activities like snorkelling. The Cabochon Hotel: "Lovely small hotel"
"Old colonial style boutique hotel with friendly staff. Quiet location on side street. Lovely rooms with interesting furniture and artefacts. Small pool on roof. Lovely smell of burning candles throughout. Cute little restaurant if you don't feel like walking out. Good Thai food plus western options available. Breakfast was good too. Good wifi connection. "Villa Song Saigon: "Oasis in Saigon"
The quiet and classic getaway away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms which went from a nice boutique style upscale luxury standard to a luxurious design and feel with beautiful furniture, original artwork, and excellent serviceCheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "A hidden gem in the heart of George Town"
"It felt like being a part of Penang's living history, a real privilege to stay here. The tour of property on the afternoon I arrived was taken by one of the owners, got some really great insights in to the collection and local history. The owners and staff are doing a wonderful job keeping this collection and property alive for future generations Stayed January 2017, traveled solo"SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Michelin star quality lakeside Yangon"
My second time to Yangon and this is the best ! Sensational food and wine set in amazing gardens on the lake. I recommend arriving before dinner for a cocktail in the stunning lounge area. It’s so beautiful to sit under the outside terrace or if you want something super romantic and private choose one of the private dining options (see photo ) or there is one lakeside. Service was impeccable. Must do !The Island Lodge: "Wonderful Mekong holiday"
Wonderful Mekong escape just two hours from Saigon. A totally different world watching the boats go by, bicycling on Unicorn island on our own or in nearby Ben Tre province through cacao and coconut farms, a short boat ride away, arranged through the hotel. Michel and Francoise are delightful hosts, as was the manager, Emi. Resort is somewhat pricey for Vietnam standards, but worth it. Rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and either have river views or are garden bungalows, both with terraces. Pool and jacuzzi are nice and food is delicious. At least the duck, beef carpaccio, seafood soup, gazpacho... All the breads and pastries are homemade. Wine prices are reasonable by the glass or bottle, and corkage fee if bring own is 200,000.Maison Polanka: "Total satisfaction"
A calm oasis after a day visiting temples and museums. Helpful and responsive staff, always obliging and willing to go that extra mile. Food is always fresh and delightful. The gardens and the pool are are so beautiful and relaxing. The office staff are particularly efficient in suggesting and arranging tourist activities and guidesSupanniga Eating Room: "Omg!!"
"Booked this place for our last meal in Bangkok, had a snoop online and reviews looked good. Okay we have eaten everywhere around the world, 2 Michelin Star restaurants etc and this is some of the best food I have ever eaten, seriously out of this world. The Red Crab Curry was to die for, however for me the Sea Bass was 10/10 and I am sat at the airport typing this still smiling, great meal! One for the bucket list when visiting Bangkok Do. Yourself a favour though, order your starters, chill, eat them, have a drink and then order your main, it's worth enjoying this one"The Apsara Rive Droite: "The Apsara Queen"
"We stayed at the Apsara Rive Droite so that we had a swimming pool as in the old part of Luang Prabang the boutique hotels don't have the space for a pool. We were not disappointed - this is a small boutique hotel with only about 12 rooms. The service from the staff was fantastic and they were very helpful in recommending things to do even though this is not our first visit to Luang Prabang. The rooms are spacious with big balconies looking over the river to the old part of Luang Prabang. The hotel has a little 'punt' called the Apsara Queen to take you back and forth across the river to the old part of the city where you can wander around. This is walking distance of all the restaurants, bars and shopping so it is a great location. The punt operates 24 hours a day so there is no worry about getting home late or leaving early in the morning to see the monk walking around collecting their alms for the day. We used their bicycles to ride around the weaving villages and then to ride into and around the old part. It was very easy as it is mostly flat and an easy cycle with little of no traffic. Worth doing to explore the side of the river that the hotel is situated on. Very interesting riding past the homes with woman weaving or doing other crafts. Excellent opportunity to buy direct from the person that makes them. When we go back this is the place we will be staying at ....... highly recommended."
