David’s Kitchen: "Best Restaurant on Trip To Thailand"
"I recently visited Davids Kitchen on my honeymoon to Thailand. My husband and I came in with high expectations given the incredibly positive reviews. It was the most fantastic dining experience I can remember - I wish I could give it more than five stars. The host, Tea, was chatty and delightful as we waited for our table. He ensured that the table was customized for our arrival with personalized flower decor for our honeymoon celebration (and a bouquet for me upon departure). The staff was incredibly attentive throughout the evening. The chef came by before we left for feedback on the meal (which was superb so we could only lavish him with praise). Davids Kitchen was a highlight of our trip to Thailand and certainly a highlight of our time spent in Chiang Mai. I cannot recommend strongly enough for a truly special (and delicious) evening."Locavore: "EXQUISITE"
For what you pay for, you are getting a Michelin style restaurant meal. There were certain courses that did not hit it out of the park, but overall the dining experience was superb. Easily the highlight of my Bali trip.Villa Song Saigon: "You will never want to leave"
My family of 4 stayed here for 2 nights in May. It was the last 2 nights of a 3 week trip around Vietnam so i wanted to stay somewhere special. This hotel is quite expensive by Vietnam standards, but it certainly is a standout in terms of quality. The rooms are so beautiful, the food was the best hotel food we had anywhere in vietnam and I loved taking the boat to the city. We spent a lot of time in the pool and the fitness centre had everything you need. i would definitely recommend this hotel. If only we had stayed longer.Manda De Laos: "Beautiiful ambience; very good food"
This restaurant is outdoors surrounding a pond. The frogs supply background music. The ambience is very pleasant. It is upscale for Luang Prabang and the food is more refined (and tourist friendly) than most places. We enjoyed it very much. It is pricey for Luang Prabang, but not by U.S. standards. Friendly servicemaisons war kor: "“Fabulous stay”"
"Although a little further away from Battambang (around 2km) than other hotels, the beautiful surroundings, well-appointed rooms and excellent food are well worth it. The staff are lovely and extremely helpful. We were there to celebrate a 60th birthday and they arranged dessert with candles and sang happy birthday! We had a great tour of all the sights around Battambang with Mr Dan the tuk tuk driver, arranged by the hotel. Also, we had a cookery class in the restaurant just for two of us which was a great experience. Thank you for a brilliant stay."Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Amazing people, amazing place!"
My wife and I visited in January, and Noel Rodrigo's Leopard Safari was our first stop in a week-long trip. After a 6 hour drive from Colombo, we were greeting at Camp with fresh towels, cocktails in the open air lobby, and then dinner under the stars. The food - wow, the food! - was delicious, the conversation with other guests enjoyable, and the service perfect. We did two game drives the next day and saw countless animals, including a leopard. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable about the animals, their habitat, questions we had, and more. The jeeps were well-stocked with snacks and sodas, and the food back at Camp between game drives - breakfast and lunch - was delicious. The curries, roti, and fruits were delicious. Lastly, we stayed in the standard tent the first night which was comfortable. I decided to upgrade to the luxury tent the second night to surprise my wife, and it is spectacular. Beautiful room, nicely decorated, and an A+. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Noel Rodrigo's Safari Camp to others looking to see Yala National Park and the infamous leopards.Flower Island: "Tropical Island Paradise"
My wife and I sent several wonderful days at Flower Island Resort. We made the special trip to see the Jewelmer Golden Pearl Farm on our second day. There we were shown how the oysters are propagated and grown. The crew there showed us the process of grafting oysters(where the bead is inserted in to the gonad) as while as the harvesting of the lustrous Golden Pearls. Our room was very comfortable traditional native hut with modern conveniences such as air conditioning and hot running water. We really enjoyed the wide variety of meals especially the pearl meat salad. There is a trail to a tower at the top of the island that gives you a 360 degree view. Another path takes you all the way around the island in about 35 minutes.Villa Song Saigon: "best of both"
"We spent 3 nights at villa song to round off our tour of Vietnam. The hotel is about 30 minutes by taxi or 20 minutes by the hotel's motorboat to downtown Saigon. For us it was the perfect compromise; avoid the stiffling heat during the day and relax by the pool and in the evening take the motorboat downtown to enjoy the best of the city. Hotel itself is all high ceilings; neutral tones and lots of nicely chosen art and books; very peaceful. Breakfast and dinner are served in the gardens overlooking the river or the adjoining dining room; breakfast is ala carte and is available all day which is a nice touch if you are only interested in relaxing. Lovely large pool which was never crowded; a small gym for those who should know better and an in-house spa; which we didn't use but seemed good value. We had a river-view room which was very spacious; walk in shower and also a bath. King size bed with a mattress to die for. Staff as seems to be the norm in Vietnam were unfailing helpful and polite. Cant think of any reason not to stay here the next time we return to Vietnam. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Magical"
"Our first view of the 4 Rivers Floating Lodge from our boat was amazing and magical and this was only the start of a most wonderful few days staying in our luxurious floating tent with our own Sundeck and steps down to the river where we enjoyed marvellous swimming. The views in both directions along the river, over to the island and across the forest to the hills were glorious. The dining experience sitting eating wonderful food and enjoying the views over the river from the open sides of the dining room was truly memorable and the friendly and most efficient and helpful staff made our few days in this haven of peace, tranquility and beauty an experience we will never forget Shelley and Stephen Ralph"Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Perfect"
Ordered vegetarian 6 course and there was not one item that was not good. Staff attentive, chef friendly, food so good if in Siem reap this is a must!
