Les Maisons d’Itac: "Best place we stayed in the Philippines"
"Me and my gf spent 4 nights at Les Maisons d'Itac. We were supposed to stay for 3, we loved the place so much we decided to stay 1 more night (we couldn't stay longer as the Mayson Ulisse was not available anymore, so we kept our travel plan on). What can we say? Bryan (who spoke italian, we're italians and we have very charming and nice conversations during our stay) has been the perfect host. Always ready to help, charmful and totally welcoming. We booked our trasfers to Bantayan and back to Cebu through him and it was just perfect! The food at the maisons is great, the location awsome. They have an amazing spot for snorkelling just in front of the resort that you can reach in a few mins swimming. What makes this place special (apart from the view, the nature around, the sea) is the SILENCE. In almost a month in the Philippines we never found such a relaxing spot, where you can fall asleep at night hearing at the waves sounds. A true dream come true. If you're looking for a place to stay around Moalboal (it can be reached in 25 minutes scooter ride from the resort, you can rent just asking Bryan) DO NOT HESITATE to book a stay at the Maisons. p.s: say hi to Itac and Stacey for us :) Ciao! Andrea & Marta Room Tip: Maison Ulysse is a must-to-try!"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "3 days and 2 night, it wasn’t enough"
"The early morning of May 26, so excited to skip school days for 2 days. I feel butterflies inside my belly, feeling feverish for the activities during the trip. Everything goes so perfect, no traffic and the weather was just, cool. Even tho it was a long drive, but I didn't get bored, i was enjoying all the amazing view of mother nature along the way to Koh kong. Sitting, looking the window, with the sound of rain dancing, I actually fell asleep, I suddenly woke up after many, many hours of sleeping. Guess what? I arrived! To the wonderful 4rivers floating lodge. The boat cruise to the hotel made me hype already. It was 1 and half hour to arrive and get check in. Along the way, it feels like me in the Amazon forest, all around are forest. When we arrived our destination, we get into each of our room according to our group. The staff, is just so friendly and kind. The look so professional and they served us the best! They also gave us a presentation about the hotel and how thing would goes. The tent made was just so cool, it made me feel so safe. I love how the inside was decorated. It's not just clean, but it makes me wanna lay on it all day. It was flawlessly designed, and provides all the things we need. Not just the room, even the restroom, i feel like i wanna sleep in there. It's so clean. The structure of the hotel does not only care about our safety, but also the environment. They don't just provide to get our attention, but they also care for our health; water was made by a long process, and soap was naturally made. Now lets get to the best part of the trip. Its kayaking!!!! It was nice exploring and it was raining as well. More interesting, isn't it??? After hours and hours of kayaking , dinner time has arrived. Ughhhhh.... can't explain how good was the food, just so finger- licking, i ate more than my parents cooked for me. At night, i have many choices u can do beside, boring social media, there was a nice library and a bunch of movie series where we can watch overnight. Though i slept early because i need to get my energy for my adventure. Overall, I really love 4 rivers floating lodge, best quality, best of serving, best of caring. Room, breakfast, lunch, dinner, it was perfectly done. Make this place as a place u should visit before any others. I guarantee, not regret of visiting, because it's not like any other hotel you'll know. I hope it visit it once again as soon as i can ."Jings Residence: "Boutique hotel with real Chinese character"
This is a great boutique hotel in the heart of historic Pingyao. The staff are very enthusiastic and keen to please, though the standard of English is not the same as in the bigger tourist centres in China. The rooms are around a courtyard and have been well designed: they retain a lot of original features but have modern plumbing, wifi access and other conveniences. Very nice dinner served with some style. Thoroughly recommended.Mathis Retreat: "Zen devant les rizières"
A beautiful place, quiet in front of the rice fields, good food, staff very Karine care very welcoming, available to show you the best place in Ubud word "super" Catherine and Jean Louis4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Very tranquil visit"
"We had a great time at 4 Rivers Koh Kong. There is no air conditioning or wifi here, but they had enough fans in the room that it really wasn't much of an issue. They did not provide lotion in their toiletries. When I asked if they had any, they let me borrow some of the staffs personal lotion for my skin. The resort is very remote and charming. One of the chairs and the umbrella were broken on our patio, but it didn't hamper our stay. We really enjoyed our tours with Robbie and Wee, many of the guides are local and still learning English, so it was fun to talk with them! Everyone was so friendly! They had a good selection of food options. The food ranged from average, to good, but nothing was exceptional. My only disappointment was that they have so many local fruits, but only offered orange juice from a box for breakfast. I think that if they had a juicer and could offer an option of local fruit juices that would be a nice touch. I'd highly recommend spending 2-3 days here and just enjoying the beautiful sunsets, and swimming in the river and just being ""off the grid"". The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Neeleshwar Hermitage: "A piece of heaven in gods own country"
"A gem of a place for a quiet getaway, everything about the place is just perfect , well appointed villas , the staff and it's service , the spa and finally the food to die for , the best Kerala food I have ever eaten.. A must visit place if one is looking for a break "Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Such a great addition to our honeymoon"
What an amazing experience, and so great to see that everywhere we turned, the camp was working to conserve the environment. Whether it be the tents surrounded by trees or the supply of clean drinking water into glass bottles, it is visible to see that Noel, Cecile and the team are really working alongside our environment, not against it. We were able to see all animals, except the sloth bear (which we didn't mind missing out on, due to their elusive nature), and only participated in 3 of the 4 game drives (due to wanting quiet time during our honeymoon). The staff are amazingly helpful and courteous and knowledgeable, and will even run to your rescue at midnight if you hear something in the bushes as there's mobile phones provided for anything of the like. The traditional food is nothing short of AMAZING! My husband is the fussiest eater and was a tad worried beforehand to say the least, but enjoyed almost everything put in front of him and not once went hungry (quite the opposite!). The honeymoon tent was a little out of our budget, so we chose to stay in the 'normal' couple tent, however were definitely not disappointed. I'm definitely going to have trouble getting my husband to come 'normal' camping again! It's very comfortable, spacious and 'glamorous' for bush standards! And perhaps the coolest part was meeting so many incredible people from around the world who were there too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As you can see - highly recommend for anyone visiting Sri Lanka :)Glenburn Tea Estate: "Wonderful place"
"There’s only one downside - a very rough road to get to it. However, it’s only the final 30 minutes of the trip and trust me, it’s worth it! Large, clean and very comfortable bedrooms, amazing views of the hills of Darjeeling, the tea estates and the snow-capped Himalayas, quality breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner and, in between relaxing, some great things to do. A walk down to the river or up to a viewpoint led to cold towels and drinks, followed by amazing picnics. There are cars to take you everywhere if you don’t want to walk. Highlight for us was spending time with the lovely Nilima, a local guide, who was knowledgeable, happy to talk about her life and the local community, and great company as well. Highly recommended."Mie Cafe: "Perfect Dinner"
"You know how sometimes an evening just clicks and it is perfect, that was our dinner here. Hard to believe as there was a big puddle out front that required some interesting maneuvers to get across and shortly after being sat down the power went out. They do have a generator that they started up so power was back on in no time. We did try many of their dishes and all were wonderful. It was romantic, great service, but slow enough to enjoy a full evening with out the feel that they wanted to fill your table again. Make reservations as we saw at least 4 couples turned away as the tables were filled."Reverie Siam: "Peace in Pai"
Reverie Siam Resort provided the peace we were seeking in Pai as it is located away from the tourist fray. All aspects of the property were outstanding, including the beautiful room and friendly staff. Our two meals in the restaurant were phenomenal. We hope to visit again!
