Manda De Laos: "Exceptional!"

Review by: backpackerjay | Source: Trip Advisor
We came for lunch yesterday, and then dinner this evening. After dining here twice, I can confidently say it is an excellent restaurant! First, the setting is beautiful and serene, a true oasis in LPB. The staff are incredibly polite and professional, and go out of their way to make sure you are having a great experience. The food is delicious! A modern spin on traditional Laotian food. Everything we ate for lunch and dinner was really, really good. We were so happy we went back for dinner tonight! Finally, the cost of the meal is maybe slightly more than you would pay for a casual night out in LPB, but really, overall it is an awesome price for what you are getting. Tonight we had two glasses of wine, two soda waters, two appetizers, two mains, one dessert and two espressos, and the total cost was only around $70 USD - incredible! You will love this place!

Rachamankha: "Secret Escape"

Review by: Jtung74 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I stayed at the Rachmankha last year and was very impressed. At the end of my stay we decided to enquire about booking the hotel to celebrate my partners birthday for November this year. Since then we have had a lot of email exchange with Wanida. She is always very accommodating and helpful and very quick in responding - we knew we were in good hands. Let me start with the cons of the hotel. It is not a brand new property and some hardware (especially bedroom and bathroom in superior rooms) could benefit from a renovation; the service by the pool could also be a problem sometimes due to language barrier. However those are the only improvement I could think of. The hotel is tucked away on the West side of the old town. It's so peaceful and quiet but you can also walk to any part of the old town easily. Being a small property it has a very intimate and cozy feel to it, and the public area is just stunning - beautiful pool, stunning public lounge and garden and great flower arrangement in the restaurant. Breakfast is a highlight. They had some simple buffet spread of juices, cold cut, bread, yoghurt and fruit, and you can order two items from the a la carte menu. It was a very relaxing experience to have breakfast in the sunny courtyard to start the day. We also had dinners at the hotel. Again the courtyard provides a great set up for a romantic evening thanks to the local Thai music (live instrument) and the decoration of the place. We host a celebration dinner at the courtyard. The team has put in a lot of efforts to make it a memorable evening. The pool area is always nice to spend your day, or just for a dip after a hot day in Chinag Mai or Elephant Nature Park. The hotel does not accept children so the place is quiet. Few of my friends had massages by the pool and they were all happy with the treatment. We were very happy we came back to this lovely hotel and in fact few of us are already planning for our next trip. I have stayed at so many hotels globally, but Rachmankha is just a special place."

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "What a Valentine’s treat"

Review by: UeliMorgenthaler | Source: Trip Advisor
I was a guest at Lucia & Chef Felix's Valentine's dinner - the first ever dinner at this exciting new and peaceful place - and I got served more surprises than I can name here! The menu was skilfully "crafted" with one course just melting into the next - perfect and distinct aromas of ingredients creatively combined, it felt like being on a voyage of the senses - and I left elevated in spirits and happy that such is possible again in Yangon. Thank you very much - and may many more guests be as happy as I was!! Ueli - Yangon

Tugu Lombok: "A place to go"

Review by: rossana1973 | Source: Trip Advisor
This is a wonderfull peacefull boutique hotel. We came there by chance after being refused by our already booked sandinpondok in gili t. We spend 5 days in lombok in a front ocean room. You deserve this hotel fir many reason. Lombok is a wonderfull island. And the hotel is organizing many trips to discover the island itself. We went to thecwaterfall but not trough the normal route but taking a different path trought the rice fields. If you like hikimg g this the best way to arrive to the waterfalls. Leave aprt the more tourist way. We went with the boat to gilli island ( make sure you reserve the hotel boat and not the external ones). Gilli are overcroweded and unlessyiu are 20ies and looking for disco and ibiza mood... stay away from them and enjoy gilli under sea by boat. The hotel is simply amazing. Amixture of indonesian styles.. decorated with intersting and lovely taste. Food is excellent. Do not expect a buffet style hotel.. luckly...we have done three massage. Each one of them was professionally made.you can also buy the oils from the spa as well as visiting the antique shop of the hotel. Staff are professionally managed by the general manager. Guest relation is very professional and she will support you in choosing the right program and massage. Do not miss the moon one! Definitely a must where to stay. We loved it.

Reverie Siam: "can’t imagine a more relaxed place"

Review by: Tim A | Source: Trip Advisor
I cannot imagine a mote relaxed place than reverie Siam resort in pai. we stayed in the villa and it's beautiful, just as the gardens and the restaurant area. it's not very far from pai city centre. the driver will bring you everywhere for free. not the cheapest in town but by far the most beautiful and relaxed!

MesaStila: "A Mountainous Trip to Paradise"

Review by: Meg G | Source: Trip Advisor
"MesaStila is a hidden gem, the grounds are incredible and exceeded all our exceptions, The staff were willing to help us at every turn. This is a must of those looking to get away from it all, explore the grounds, enjoy many activities available, relax by the pool. Hire a guide and head to a waterfall where you will walk thru villages and experience central java at its best. This property is a must - its perfect for stopping and remembering how calm life can be without the hassle and bustle. I urge everyone to go here. Just note if you are travelling in a large group as we were (8A 9C) pre order lunches and dinners as it can take a while to get your meal. "

Inle Princess Resort: "Wonderfully relaxing"

Review by: CathyG69 | Source: Trip Advisor
We felt at home as soon as we arrived at this lovely resort. We had a lake view chalet close to the boat dock but there was no noise disturbance as boats are not allowed to use power engines when approaching the resort. The room was spacious and had everything that we needed. We loved sitting out on the verandah and taking in the lovely views. The resort handicraft centre is great if you want to try your hand at pottery, Shan paper making, weaving or a range of other handicrafts. The food is very good and the service excellent.

MesaStila: "A truly beautiful experience"

Review by: Emilio1972 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We very much enjoyed our 3-day stay at MesaStila. We booked the Borobudur package which was a good choice as it took us on a private trip with private expert guide to the temple. The hotel employed driver took a nice scenic route which added to the experience and despite rain we had a great half day. After this we enjoyed the 'Arabian Nights' package in the spa which was truly relaxing. We also joined the power walk which was a fairly leisurely walk through the local area and village. (...) I would like to express our specific gratefulness to host Lia who is a shining example of how to deliver an excellent customer experience. Every time Lia saw us she asked about our well being, our previous and planned experiences during our stay and she did a wonderful job educating us during the plantation tour. My wife and I travel a lot for both business and leisure but we do not think that we ever came across such a great host as Lia. All in all I definitely recommend this place, you will love it!"

David’s Kitchen: "King David"

Review by: Donnajill | Source: Trip Advisor
David, The first of many best parts of our visit was your warm greeting. Hospitality at its finest. Then the delectable dishes of magnificently presented food. as a good as it gets. Please come to Chicago & make that pumpkin soup. Each course surpassed the next. I too would partner for life with a woman who could create that chocolate mousse. Kudos to your staff. The grand finale, a man proposed to a woman on Chinese Valentines Day. Cue the applause & thank god she said yes.
