Talabgaon Castle: "fantastically beautiful place"
We stayed in the hotel in March 2016 with friends. it is absolutely awesome place, the building of the hotel unimaginable beauty, vast numbers itself, a large area, the silence all around, a large outdoor pool with a mini-waterfall and fountains nearby, peacocks walk, chipmunks running around, there are stables and a golf polo. I liked very much. Clean, quiet, the staff is calm, friendly, home, too. Atmospheric and quiet.Satri House: "Fantastic boutique hotel"
Great service, well maintained, and smoothly run boutique hotel located just 500m from Luang Prabang downtown. Very friendly and discreet service, rooms in good shape and a fine breakfast restaurant as well as good pool and spa services. We'll be back.Villa Song Saigon: "Excellent stay and wonderful experience"
"Recently enjoyed a three night stay at the Villa Song on my first vist to Vietnam. The hotel and stay thorougly exceeded my expecatations. The location was ideal, a short boat ride or cab (use Uber if you have it) ride from the center of Ho Chi Minh city which provided ideal - getting away from the intensity of the city center was fantastic. The setting of the hotel is absolutley picturesque. Very beautiful area on the river, great area for relaxing, having a meal, having a drink, just fantastic. Very peaceful and enjoyable. Pool area is also very good - they offer service at the pool so no need to go anywhere for refreshments or food. Plenty of chairs and shade. You MUST visit the spa during your stay! I enjoyed several treatments that were simply world class and delivered by the warmest and most friendly staff (sorry that I forgot her name!). Don't miss the spa during your stay! All of the staff were friendly, warm and accommodating. Service was spot on. Hotel was immaculately clean. Room was fantastic - clean, cool, well equppied, great bed, great linens, very quiet and great sleep. You cannot go wrong staying at the Villa Song Saigon - should I return to Vietnam I would say here without hesitation. "David’s Kitchen: "Can’t say enough good things"
My husband and I agree that this is one of, if not the best, restaurants we've ever been to. It's more than comparable to any Michelin star or rated establishment, we were actually really surprised they haven't been properly recognized. Not only was the food high quality, eclectic, delicious, and well portioned, the service was beyond 5 star. We went on a Friday and didn't realize until after our Saturday tour that they aren't open on Sunday or we absolutely would have gone back. We wished we had one more night in chiang mai just so we could go one more time! The employees were so on top of things and David made sure to visit every table for a personable chat. He emailed us the next day and recounted some of what we discussed(which was nice considering we were so jetlag we could barely keep our eyes open past the entrees!) and wished us well on our upcoming relocation. I truly wish David would open another location in NYC, although it wouldn't be the same without the man himself! The Village House: "Quiet and secluded"
"The a Village House is well positioned on the Santubong for accessing local attractions. It is also only 100 metres from a windswept beach which is lovely for early morning walks. The bird watching is great. The accommodation is really very nice. The design of the place, with all rooms facing inward, overlooking the pool, creates an intimate and friendly environment where you can simply forget every single worry in the world. (...) I went twice whilst living Malaysia and it provided much needed respite from the stresses of living in KL. A magical place."The River Resort: "Awesome place"
i loved the place. i can remember thinking while we were out touring that i could not wait to get back to the resort and take one of their outdoor showers. Southern lao is beautiful but a bit dusty. i would definitely go back.Sukoon Houseboat: "Beautiful houseboat on a beautiful lake"
The luxury and service on Sukoon far exceeded any expectations. The lovely carved wood panelling and the comfort of the ensuite bedroom had the feel of a five star hotel. So glad we had opted to stay for five nights to fully enjoy the peace and tranquility of living on board. We were able to sit on the deck where we took delicious meals and where the excellent chef cooked breakfast to our request. The snow capped mountains in the far background completed the scene. The small shikara boats provided a delightful way to explore the lake and take us ashore to explore Srinagar. I cannot recommend Sukoon highly enough over all other houseboats we got to see there. Can't wait to go back.Reverie Siam: "Outstanding! Loved everything about it"
"Amazing service, big and quiet rooms, lots of green, great swimmingpools, beautiful decor, best restaurant in town, great price. This hotel is a hidden gem. They even offer local mobile phones for guests to take when going to town, so they can call the hotel for sending a driver to pick them up. I am 100% happy with this hotel. I highly recommend it."misool: "Beyond beautiful"
"As a long time diver in the Caribbean and the Great Barrier Reef, I was amazed at the diversity and abundance of the: soft and hard corals, the fish, sharks, nudibranchs, clams, starfish, mantas etc at Misool. The colors are amazing. I had to remind myself that the reefs were real and not computer generated. Everywhere you looked there was a different coral and an unfamiliar fish/animal. We stayed in a Water Cottage built above the water on stilts. Each night we slept to the sound of water rippling against the pilings, in a very comfortable king size bed surrounded by a canopy of mosquito netting. There were few mosquitos near us though others reported some. Food is abundant, delicious, amazingly varied and served family style so you get to know everyone there. You walk along boardwalks surrounded by flowers to diving, presentations and the dining area. We felt pampered our entire time at Misool, by the diving staff, the kitchen and wait staff, house staff, the management and the astounding beauty of the place. Equally impressive is the work the owners of Misool do protecting the reefs, providing jobs / job training and education to the community. The beauty and health of the reefs at and around Misool is do in large part because of the work that Misool does in protecting the reef with it's ""no take"" zone, employing local men to patrol and monitor fishing, as well as the recycling programs that keep the waters clean and also teach the children about the value of their ocean. Misool is a very special place, most of the people who were diving with us were returning because they love it. We also hope to return. "Supanniga Eating Room: "Delicious lunch in a fabulous setting"
Casual but well thought out setting; more importantly a very satisfying meal! Fresh & tastey; & service was efficient. Few dishes that I saw on menu that I will make a return visit in the near future.
