Maison Polanka: "Small Paradise"
"Maison Polanka is the most pleasant hotel we have ever stayed at. It is a well-hidden green and peaceful haven in Siem Reap, away from the buzzing markets, nightlife and crowds of backpackers. Maison Polanka is a perfect place to relax before or after visiting the temples. It is a small hotel with only four rooms and the wonderful Khmer house, where we stayed. The most important asset of Maison Polanka is the staff. The manager, Julia, and the entire staff are friendly, attentive and discreet. They make you feel at home, as a valued guest, and not just a customer. The service level can compete with any five star hotel. Maison Polanka is expensive compared with other hotels in Cambodia, but was worth every cent. If we ever get the chance to visit Siem Reap again, we will definitely stay at Maison Polanka again."Jing’s Residence: "Do not miss this!"
We spent two lovely nights at this boutique hotel while visiting Pingyao. It is beautiful, serene and wonderfully restored. Our room was not large, but very well appointed with a king platform bed, desk, armoire and mini-fridge with complementary drinks and snacks. The bathroom was perfect with a large shower with great hot water pressure. We ate in the restaurant our first night, and it was terrific! As usual in China, the food was modestly priced and the wine was fairly expensive. But we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! But the thing that make this little gem excel is the staff. We travel a lot and I don't think we have ever found a place where every staff member was so welcoming! Everyone spoke English and wanted to practice their skills whenever they could. When we went out, we were welcomed back with an opened front door. When we came in for breakfast (very good and a broad selection), we were greeted by name and asked how we slept. Everyone consistently had a smile on their faces! It was a joy to stay here!Sukoon Houseboat: "Beautiful houseboat on a beautiful lake"
The luxury and service on Sukoon far exceeded any expectations. The lovely carved wood panelling and the comfort of the ensuite bedroom had the feel of a five star hotel. So glad we had opted to stay for five nights to fully enjoy the peace and tranquility of living on board. We were able to sit on the deck where we took delicious meals and where the excellent chef cooked breakfast to our request. The snow capped mountains in the far background completed the scene. The small shikara boats provided a delightful way to explore the lake and take us ashore to explore Srinagar. I cannot recommend Sukoon highly enough over all other houseboats we got to see there. Can't wait to go back.Satri House: "A true retreat in the midst of a bustling small city"
"This is a delightful place to have as ""home"" during time in Luang Prabang. In 10 minutes of walking you will be in the night market and the main shopping street during the day. Or take the tuk tuk and be there in 5 minutes. Breakfasts are good with al fresco seating. The shower is the only funky part of the stay. It is nearly impossible to stand under the shower head as there is a permanent seat in the front of the shower. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"THE ISLAND LODGE: "The most caring hosts"
"The island lodge is a very special place. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like welcomed guests. We did the bike/boat tour with Michael through the banana plantations and seeing the locals going about their daily life, not another tourist to be seen. Every body is very friendly. And the whole lodge is beautiful. We will definitely return to the island lodge if visiting Vietnam. "Misool Eco Resort: "Holiday at Misool Eco Resort"
"I went to Misool Eco Resort again (5th time). The diving seems to be better every year. For the past 7 years fishing around the resort is not allowed anymore, so there is more fish every time. A few years ago i saw a shark every now and then. Now there are sharks on every dive. Saw mantas several times. This was the first time i was there in March/April and the visibility was very good. I found my stay here very relaxing, even with the 45 dives i did in two weeks. The weather: mainly sunny. I think it rained at night a few times. The restaurant serves excellent food, mainly Asian cuisine and they have good wines. The overall experience is excellent."Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Charming Boutique Hotel"
Stayed a couple of nights at Cabochon and envoyer our stay there. The hotel is very well designed in a colonial style and they have put every efforts to go into details. The breakfast was very nice, the top roof pool excellent and the staff awesome! I would have just not put so many stuffed animals (was very disappointed to see sea turtles for instance).Villa Song: "Perfect escape"
"Spent five days at the Villa Song and it was hard to fault anything, from the service to the amenities. This is a perfect spot to explore Saigon but escape the craziness of city life. We would particularly recommend a happy hour cocktail (or two) on the terrace overlooking the Saigon River. If I was to make one suggestion, it would be for a more frequent speedboat service, especially in the afternoon."Slow Villas and Spa: "Love This Villa so much"
Staying here for few days before heading back to Yogyakarta with Motorbike. I love this villa so much! ♡ The room is clean ♡ The WiFi is fast ♡ Open Air bathroom with Hot & Cold Water ♡ Small Pool ♡ Good BreakfastTiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Amazing service and attention to details"
"Location: Great view on the Annapurna and the valley. From the welcoming to the departure day (we stayed 3 nights) we had a great hospitality service (meals, drinks,etc..) , we enjoyed the trek with our guide and the helicopter trip to the Annapurna Base Camp. The cottage was perfect, with heater during this period of the year (and the hot water bottle in the bed as a surprise). Will have love to stay longer. Thanks to Marcus for sharing his knowledge of this beautiful country through the day or at dinner time. You are a real ""hotelier"" and congratulation to the team for their service."
