The Island Lodge: "Serenity"
"Recently went here a second time and it pure bliss. The resort is stunning, beautifully designed accompanied by good service and a wonderful, peaceful atmosphere. We live in Saigon and we usually travel outside the country when we have any spare time but we make time to come to Island Lodge because it's that's great. We're actually going for our third visit in less than a week. Can't wait. "Tugu Bali: "Wonderful property and top-notch service"
Stayed here for my birthday in May, and found the service to be amazing. The entire staff was friendly but not obtrusive, and the hotel grounds are just beautiful. They also helped my friends arrange a birthday surprise for me; highly recommend this place for a peaceful getaway! Also very close to all of the fun nightlife in Canggu. The Cabochon Hotel and Residence: "Colonial haven in the city"
The Cabochon lies as a peaceful haven within the busy city of Bangkok. The colonial style is charming, the breakfast was great and we appreciated the complimentary tea, fruit, water and soft drinks in the room. The staff were fantastic and we appreciated a slightly early check in and later checkout.Mathis Retreat: "Beautiful hotel and surroundings. The staff is charming, the rooms are very confortable and the pool is great"
"The hotel is 15 minutes from the center of Ubud, surrounded by rice fields. It has a wonderful swimming pool, a great restaurant and the staff is very friendly. The attention to detail is impressive. The rooms are large, the beds very confortable, great linen, very good air conditioning ( an important item in this warm and humid climate), fast WiFi We stayed for some days at the beginning of our trip to Indonesia, and returned for more before going home. Highly recommended"The Island Lodge: "Perfect start to our Vietnamese adventure."
"Beautiful hideaway in the middle of the Mekong Delta. Room, food, staff and pool amazing; we loved our stay. A special thank-you to the wonderful gardener who jumped fully clothed into the Mekong to rescue my bifocal glasses when they accidentally dropped into river ! Thanks Amanda & Martin x"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Rural eco-lodge with stunning views"
We stayed here for a couple of nights in October 2015. It was the ideal relaxation before embarking on a trek in the Annapurna region. The lodge aims to be very eco-friendly and produces much of its own food in the grounds. Escorted walks are possible; we went on a short 2-hour one and gained an insight into Nepalese rural life. We stayed in our own bungalow, and took meals and drinks in the main building, which has a bar and restaurant. The food was excellent! Our lunches were Nepalese and dinner more European in style, and the breakfasts were huge! We enjoyed sun-downers and snacks in the evening in the bar, and during power cuts it was romantically candle-lit! We were woken early with coffee at our room to view the sunrise over the Fishtail mountain - a fabulous sight! Attentive and friendly staff made our visit perfect.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Fantastic experience would highly recommend"
"We have just stayed for 2 nights at Tiger Mountain and we wished we had stayed longer. Our stay was so welcoming and attentive a truly wonderful experience. We enjoyed great food and attentive and faultless staff who really looked after us. Our accommodation provided everything we needed and we like its eco friendliness, the hot water bottles in bed at night were a lovely touch. Pre dinner drinks in front of a roaring log fire with fellow guests was enjoyable. We particularly loved our helicopter trip to Annapurna Base Camp - what an experience (very reasonably priced if you can share the experience with fellow guests like we did) and our birding and village walk was enjoyable and informative. Tiger Mountain has wonderful staff, and great guides. We would highly recommend the experience and let the hotel organise all your activities as they know what they are doing! Outstanding views and a morning wake up call with tea and homemade biscuits to watch the sunrise over the mountains was perfect. D Don’t hesitate just book it! Thank you Marcus and all the team."Manda De Laos: "Best restaurant in Luang Prabang"
We had a very romantic dinner in Manda de Laos. Very good food, great service, and a very romantic atmosphere. Highly recommended.Manda De Laos: "best place, best food, best service"
The food is extraordinary, fusion style for those who dont want to eat every day rice or noodle dishesMathis Retreatco: "Your success howerver you want it: from very quite to exploratory"
"It is our second stay at the Mathis retreat (Kenanga last year) and the manageress; Karne, has maintained a charming atmosphere with excellent food, very kind staff and excellent service. While stilll close to Ubud, the hotel surrounding is peaceful with rice fields mixing lush greens with mirror images of the sky. The swimming pool is large enough to play or exercise. The path next to the hotel is a lovely way to walk down to Ubud across the rice fields, the frogs, the birds, and the hard working farmers. from the many attractive excursions, we selected those that would drive us closest to the balinese people and their natural landscape. The Ayung river trekking was exotic enough, adjusted to our desires and capabilities on the spot; full of anecdotical explanations on the flora, fauna and traditions, with a lunch stop at a traditional village with breathtaking Banian Trees (sacred trees next to temples) where we had a friendly conversation with a 3 generations family. Our daughter; a keen photographer; went for the sun rise on the rice fields for a full 360 degrees sensation, and reaching those remote places as a motorbike passenger was an extra bonus. And we are still so far from having exploited all the possibilities, that you may be sure to find us there next year."
