Rachamankha: "Attentive service, beautiful scenery, great restaurant"
"We were thrilled with our stay at Rachamankha. My wife and I were here for our honeymoon, and it was a wonderful venue for such an occasion. Somewhat hard to find among the back roads inside the old town in Chiang Mai (the tuk tuk's will know where to go), it provides a great escape from the bustle of the town. The grounds are immaculately manicured. There is a great little seating area to lounge and relax. The pool is large and well maintained. Our room was very quiet, had a great large bed. The AC worked well enough in the room. The thing is don't miss the restaurant. We ate at several restaurants around town, but kept coming back to the hotel restaurant for the green curry, stir fried noodles, and several other dishes. Staying at the hotel, breakfast was fantastic every day. Our only issue was that the Internet connection was not super reliable."Rachamankha: "Excellent boutique hotel with great service"
My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in November at this wonderful hotel and felt totally at home throughout. The ambiance of the hotel was perfect, very peaceful and serene. The whole layout of the building was beautiful with lovely antique Asian furniture, a nice outdoor swimming pool and a cosy library. The library was well stacked with books and also had the benefit of having 2 PC's where we were able to plan our trips and look up local restaurants, even printing out the information we needed on the spot. The bedroom was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom and free WiFi was available throughout the building. The hotel was perfectly located, a very close walk from the Old Town. It also had the added benefit (from our perspectives) of being a non-smoking establishment throughout. The service was first class from all the staff and the breakfasts were delicious. The hotel manager Paul Walker was especially helpful and proactive, giving us many useful tips both for our stay in Chiang Mai and also Bangkok. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Chiang Mai as it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy your stay. We will definitely book there again the next time we visit.Poring Hot Spring Nature Reserve: "areleaf"

"Sanak retreat is an wonderful butique hotel. Stunningly beautiful situated in the rice field with an amazing view. The style of the hotel is balinese with a touch of the ""shabby chick"". Most of the villas have two floors. The bottom floor is completely dark and private with plants all around and the top floor is full of light, has a splendid view, windows all around and two porches. So make a deal with your kids before you arrive! No one wants the bottom floor! The resort truly appreciates its surroundings and don't play music, which we highly appreciate!! The restaurant have an equally stunning view, the pool is beautiful with sun beds and rice fields. There were almost no mosquitos when we were there, so you could enjoy all of your evening on the porch. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was fresh and great. They do a great childrens massage in the spa. Climate is wonderful up here. Even a bit chilly in the morning! We also had a 3-hour guided tour to the nearby rice fields and a water fall arranged by the hotel. The guide was absolutely great. Spoke good english and we learned so much about Bali. It was one of our best activities on our trip. We also did a jungle trek and canoo trip on a lake also arranged by the hotel. Also recommendable. So are there any downsides of this pearl of a resort? The restaurant prices were the most expensive we encounted in all of Bali and Gili Trawangan. They charge 35.000 rupiah for a Soft drink/ Coca Cola. You really can't go anywhere nearby to eat or shop and they know it. A little bit unsympathetic to exploit this to that degree. We just came from Pemuteran where the beach front restaurant charged 10.000 rupiahs for the same. Prices were generally the double or even more on comparable food items, e.g. Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng, Mixed skewers... Some travel agencies praise their food. We think it was okay, but not more than that. We ate all our meals here for 3 days. They have a childrens menu, but portions are so small that an 8 year old have to order two dishes to be full, so nothing saved there. A pizza is the size of a side plate. Generally the portions are small. We had no hot water for almost our entire stay. They sure tried to fix it but with no succes for more than 3 minutes. Toilets can't take paper, so you are asked to dispose it in a basket next to the toilet. Urgh! So a few downsides, but I will still recommend this boutique resort to anyone who wants to see the best of Bali. It is beautiful and you will enjoy the view!"VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Charming hotel in a stunning location"
"Pure peace and tranquility next the Saigon River, absolutely stunning place which exceeded all our expectations. Beautiful, colonial style rooms with stunning views, fabulous food all served with the Vietnamese hospitality. We felt wonderfully pampered and spoiled. "Tugu Malang: "レビュー通りの素敵なホテル"
Location of the center of the extent of Malang of about 40 minutes by car from the airport. The Malang city is another world of the hotel. After all, also supports easy staff is friendly ◎. There is also a tour of the hotel, Indonesia culture and founder? You can see such expensive furniture. The atmosphere in the hotel is the first hotel that wanted to once again go to stay at the highest.Glenburn Tea Estate: "New Year’s Eve"
A boutique property in the midst of the tea estate with captivating views of Mt Kanchenjunga. The 19th century built cottages are luxurious and remind of the English countryside. One can spend the entire day relaxing and sun bathing in the beautiful lawn gazing at the variety of flora and the majestic mountain ranges. They offer various hikes exploring the nearby villages walking though the tea estates with expert in-house guides. Must visit property if one wishes to get pampered in the most beautiful of locales.Tugu Bali: "Our new favourite hotel in Bali"
If you're looking for something special, unique and authentic then Tugu is it! A truly wonderful experience all round. Our accommodation was lovely. We stayed in the Dedari Suite and we're lucky to have not just a plunge pool , but an extended view through reeds across a pond and beyond to a nearby temple. We could even get glimpses of the surf! The staff were amazing, the gardens and buildings incredible. A wonderful way to immerse yourself in Balinese history. The attention to detail is everywhere, right down to the metal elephant door knobs in the public restrooms. Trying one of Tugu's cultural banquets is highly recommended. The recently opened Ji restaurant and bar is also destined to be a winner. Good food and drinks in a very quirkily exotic bar.Rahai’i Pangun: "A Major Highlight of my Borneo Adventure!!"
"I went on a 4 day cruise up the Rungan River with Wow Borneo and had a wonderful time. The staff were outstanding, very warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was really healthy and tasty. The boat itself was open, airy and comfortable & I loved sitting on the top deck watching life on the river. My very comfortable double room had a private BR and a small private deck as well as air con/fan to keep cool. It was totally worth the slurge! We were fortunate to see a good variety of orangutans on the various pre-release islands on the Rungan River. It was a real privilege to see these beautiful creatures fairly close up in a natural setting. I feel hopeful that most will be fully released into the wild. Like the reviewer before me suggested, I'd recommend you go soon. There were lots of gold dredges on the river banks & the sad reality is that these small operations use mercury to extract the gold which is released into the river poisoning everything downstream. It makes me sad because this is precious habitat for the local people and of course the orangutans."David’s Kitchen: "A wonderful experience"
Excellent french cuisine, friendly attentive service, beautiful surroundings. One of the best meals of my life.
