Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "A real highlight of our trip"
"What they are doing at the Inle Heritage should be used as an example for the rest of Myanmar and for other hotels in emerging markets. Service was fantastic, at first we felt a little overwhelmed with all of the greetings and personal care from the staff.. given that there are 4 times as many staff as guests you may understand why it may feel like this, but after a short while we realised that they are all genuinely lovely, friendly staff that are eager to please and interact with you.. We embraced it. We visited during a very heavy storm and a very large piece of bamboo was hitting against the side of our room, we only mentioned it briefly to a junior member of staff on the way to breakfast and by the time we returned from our day trip it had been cut back.. A huge bamboo tree that would need some serious work.. We were extremely impressed with the effort. Food was excellent and the setting beautiful. Thanks Inle Heritage and keep up your efforts! Stayed January 2016, traveled as a couple"The Island Lodge: "Nice place"
If you want a peaceful place, away from the bustling city, not far from Ho Chi Minh City, you can choose the island lodge. We also visit Mekong Delta, have boat trip, cycling countryside, relaxing swimming poolSukoon Houseboat: "Luxuriously built, good service"
"One of the few Luxuriously built house boats, with good service and a peaceful location on Dal lake. The rooms are well appointed and offer good warmth and privacy. The Bathroom is very clean and spacious as well. Their roof top open seating is lovely and offers great panoramic views of the Dal lake and the mountains. The food was alright, no complains just that they can try and offer more authentic Kashmiri cuisine"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Escape to this floating paradise"
"First the location on the wide rivers is simply to dream about. You can swim from your luxury tent or watch the boats the birds or the sky. The lodge is staffed by gentle people who attend to every wish. The food is delicious. I would put it high on the list of adventures in Cambodia. Loved the sunset cruise and waterfall excursion. Room Tip: All the tents look straight over the river"Manda De Laos: "Spectacular oasis in Luang Prabang"
We went for lunch on a very hot day....the setting is beautiful with lily ponds and orchids everywhere. The waiters are very attentive. I had the lunch special 'burger' so many interesting and delicious things on a soft bun. Pork floss (!!), the best caramelised onions, the fresh herbs, sausage and sauces. So good. Didn't need the buffalo rissole. Homemade icecream afterwards was lovely too. Photographers' dream.Maison Polanka: "“Maison Polanka a Haven!!!”"
Amazing experience in this Haven!!it is really a right decision to stay in Maison Polanka,,,,really the best Haven in Angkor!!!best Hotel ever,,,,!!surely will be comin back with my fam and friends!!excellent service and amazingly beautiful!!Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Lovely place for lunch"
After a busy morning sightseeing we were taken here for lunch. Sitting on the veranda overlooking the boats zipping up and down the canal this is a restful place to have lunch. We had the chicken cooked in coconut juice served wrapped in a banana, wonderful. This was followed by the most wonderful EVER banana cake, out of this world.Inle Princess Resort: "Relax and mellow in this beautiful setting"
"I rarely choose to review properties that have been so heavily reviewed by others -- but felt I had to given some of the absurd comments. No Wi-Fi! No TV! All I can say is YEAH!!! There are times to just get off the grid. You don't have to be connected 24-7. This is the magic of traveling to destinations such as Myanmar. We had a ""lake view"" bungalow which we enjoyed. The bird guide was nice, but the binoculars were poor (but we had brought our own, so no problem). The air conditioner struggled during the day but was fine at night. Breakfasts were solid, if somewhat uninspired. Dinners (and you're pretty much stuck here) were better than expected and more reasonably priced than we found at comparable sites (i.e. Bagan) in Myanmar. Wine selections, though, were quite limited and very costly. But the cocktails were interesting. The new swimming pool is a welcome addition. Without good road connections, you'll probably be booked here through a tour company. If not, boat access is a key and can be arranged through the hotel. Bottom line -- our favorite hotel of our 2-week trip in Myanmar"MesaStila: "Beautifull place, people, spa and service"
We stayed here for 4 days This place is really amazing, surrounded by beautifull mountains and nature, with A nice spa, Good food and very helpfull and nice people! Visit the borobudur and the coffeeplantation!Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "OMG"
I cannot say enough good things about the Golden Buddha Beach Resort. I wanted a beach hotel that was secluded, just-the-right-amount-of-rustic, stylish, and on a deserted beach. We got it! The hotel’s website is intelligently discrete but its description is correct. Highlights: meeting the hotel manager (Massi), the hotel's French owner (so friendly!), the New Years Eve dinner buffet, and the massage. The only recommendation I would make: the main dishes at lunch and dinner could benefit from a vegetable side dish; vegetable side dishes should be offered on the menu; the pricing of food could be a tad more reasonable.
