Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Small Luxury Hotel Which Delivvered Great Service in Difficult Conditions"
"Considering the rain that this part of Thailand has had in recent weeks the level of service was excellent. The management team and staff are friendly and efficient. The quality of food is excellent and its presentation take it to the next level. Reception was happy to organise transport for us when we attended a private party and subsequently in the week when we visited Fisherman's Village. We were met at the airport by the owner of the resort Poy, and he regulalry puts in an appearance at the hotel. He can be justifably proud of his team, as they work tirelessly to .your stay is a happy one. We will be back, Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Tandjung Sari: "This place really is a 5 star hotel…"
We stayed here 1 night before flying back to Europe. Everything about Tandjung Sari is just excellent. The staff are professional and helpfull, they will go the extra mile for you with a smile. The place is perfectly well kept, the bugalows ooze luxe, comfort and classic Balinese style. Food was great, excellent by-the-glass wine choice and do try the banana fritters with icecream. Smooth jazz in the late afternoon to watch the sunset in style. We'll be back for more!Maduzi Hotel: "Return to Maduzi"
"I had twice before stayed at Maduzi although some years before and found each stay most excellent. This stay, with friends, was also exceptional. Maduzi is located in downtown Bangkok right near the Skyway and a short walk to Centre Point shopping mall; the Paragon complex is but four Skyway stops away. Breakfast is included, and the choices are unique; I cannot understand anyone finding fault with the variety or quality offered, and breakfast was a pleasure. Maduzi is a truly unique (yep, that word can be used again and again), boutique hotel, a retreat in downtown Bangkok in beautiful surroundings and rooms with service that can satisfy almost all. My wife and friends thoroughly enjoyed their stay as I did. Room Tip: Upper floors are probably best because the roar of Bangkok traffic almost defied sound-proofing."David’s Kitchen: "Simply winderful"
From the service, to the presentation, to of course the food, David’s Kitchen is a must if you are anywhere near the areaCheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Wonderful stay at Cheong Fatt Tze / Blue Mansion"
"Over the recent Easter long weekend, we decided to take a break in Penang. We picked the Blue Mansion, indigo blue coloured heritage hotel with only 18 rooms after learning about its history and seen some pictures. From the outside, the heritage hotel is hidden behind a high wall so only the roof and part of the building were visible from outside. The hotel also conducts a tour of the hotel, sharing the history as well as the challenging task of restoring the hotel when it was bought over following the death of the last son of the original owner. Hotel guests gets to join the tour for free. We were very fortunate to join the tour on the day that Loh-Lim Lin Lee, current owner of the hotel, was leading the tour. She only does it on Friday at 11am and 2pm. She was a wonderful story teller, sharing about the unique architecture, origins of the materials used in the construction such as colourful history. Beautifully restored with rooms that are a mixed of modern and traditional. We even have a jacuzzi in our bathroom! Highly recommend for a different experience from conventional hotel stay. It is a bit tricky to get to the hotel but I really advise you to go by boat instead of the land route from Sittwe . You will disembark just in front of the hotel. The hotel has only bungalows . Nice garden with green lawns and ponds with flowers. The bunglow has huge bedroom and nice bathroom. The kitchen has excellent food. The service is fantastic and very helpful. I can really recommend this place in order to investigate all the pagodas around it.Mathis Retreat: "Fabulous"
Just a little out of the hustle and bustle of Ubud this hotel was fantastic. Tucked back off the street the entry isn't that inviting. But once inside, you see the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the rice fields and the thatched roof open air restaurant. We stayed in a bungalow with a private little yard (#7) Just behind the beautiful pool, an across from the restaurant. The room was very large, high ceilings, roomy bathroom. We loved it!! It has a shuttle into town and back. It was always great to get back to this beautiful place for a good meal, peace and quiet. It felt like we were coming home. Book this place. No worries.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Very peaceful place"
"We stayed three nights at 4 Rivers and we have enjoyed every minute. Beautiful location and friendly staff. The tent is very spacious and the bathroom is fully equipped. All tents have a lovely terrace with 2 sunbeds. We went with Mr. ""W"" Mr. ""Rambo"" to the Tatai Falls and to the Fishing Village and both trips were wonderful. Every night you can go out to watch the fireflies; beautiful! The only downside for me personally was the heat in the tent. The days we visited 4 Rivers it was very hot. There are 2 mobile fans in the tent, but that doesn't make any sence in that kind of heat. The second night we opened the tent on all sides,(there are mosquitonets in all windows) but there was also no wind, so.... but the whole experience was absolutly fantastic, so I forget those 3 night with no sleep... :) https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g1532269-d1544191-r450676407-4_Rivers_Floating_Lodge-Koh_Kong_Koh_Kong_Province.html#"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Best place in Nepal to relax and enjoy the scenery and environment"
What kept me going on the tough 14-day trek up to Lo Mantang in Upper Mustang was the promise of relaxing and recovering in the peace and quiet of TM's Pokhara Lodge. My four days up at the hilltop lodge, with its chirruping birds and fluttering butterflies, fabulous views of icing sugar mountains in the mornings and twinkling lights at night, were wonderfully restoring. This was my third visit and, as ever, the staff were so caring and the comfort and cleanliness, delicious meals and drinks were just as I had remembered. And I really enjoyed the good company of Marcus and the other guests. Thank you to you all for looking after me and for making me feel very special on my birthday. Staying at your lodge sums up everything I love about Nepal.Manukan Island Resort: "Beach villa"
Wonderful refitted rooms, completed in January 2017. Private beach and pool for residents. Delicious food. The resort staff cannot do enough to ensure you enjoy your stay. Day trips snorkeling and scuba diving available.
