Tugu Bali: "Amazing accommodations"
"We absolutely LOVED Tugu hotel in Canggu. The location is perfect, the service is AMAZING and the food was delicious. The suites are breathtaking, ours came with a fruit basket of local fruit. The bathroom was half outdoors, filled with flowers and was surrounded by a Koi pond with a beautiful ladle to pour water traditionally. We also had a private pool in our back yard which was a tropical paradise. You have amazing options for seating indoors or out when dining, and the complimentary afternoon tea was diving. "Maduzi Hotel: "Boutique elegance off Sukhumvit"
The hotel is small, at just 40 rooms and is situated on a triangular corner site beside Soi 16, hence the unusual layout of some rooms. It is packed with interesting objets d'art. When I arrived, I was upgraded to a corner suite, which was just delightful. The bed was an enormous California king, I had a big desk and chair, armchair, breakfast table and 2 chairs, plus a huge ensuite with shower and jacuzzi bath. The toilet was separate and there was even a luggage room on its own. All decorated with understated stylish panache. Also in the room was an espresso maker, CD player and a free minibar of soft drinks and some snacks. Breakfast was served in the downstairs restaurant. While individual dishes were interesting, with a European influence, I must say I was disappointed by the portion size. I would have preferred a buffet, but maybe that is not an economic option in a hotel that size. It is 5 minutes easy walk to Asok station on the BTS. Staff service was friendly and individualistic. Would definitely like to revisit.SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Best lunch in Yangon"
I've read about this restaurant in TripAdvisor and went to check out when my boyfriend came to visit me in Yangon. We loved each part of our Sunday lunch. The restaurant is beautiful, clean decoration, very attentive staff, beautiful lake view and very well organized. I am not sure if it is always like that but there were 2 set menu options available, 2 or 3 courses. We went for the 2 courses: starter and main dish. We ordered a rose wine to go along. The meal started with some lovely amuse bouche and they offered bread. My dishes were delicious and so were my boyfriend's. In the end, we were not sure if we had space for the dessert but we were offered a chocolate dish as house courtesy! We were delighted! The meal and drinks were not cheap but it worth each cent that we paid. The food, the ambience, the staff, the quality, the service, all high standard. I do recommend and I hope to return soon. To the Seeds' team, congratulations! It was a lovely meal and service!Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Paradise Found"
"Having spent two crazy weeks exploring Delhi, Varanasi, Agra etc. we flew down for a week in southern India to unwind. I had picked the Neeleshwar Hermitage from a photo of the swimming pool I had seen in The Trailfinders brochure, and it more than lived up to my expectations. The welcome was genuinely warm, and our cottage was just lovely. The discreet but friendly staff were always on hand for anything we needed. We arrived in the dark, and so waking up to the Arabian sea was a real treat. The beach went on for miles and was virtually deserted. The sea was warm and inviting, and the infinity pool was superb. Both restaurants were excellent, and breakfast beside the beach was fantastic. I had a wonderful treatment in the spa, and would recommend a visit. Following 3 nights at the resort we transferred for one night on the houseboat. What a wonderful, fabulous experience that I will always treasure. A perfect end to an amazing holiday. Room Tip: Some of the cottages face the sea, but we had a garden view and it was still lovely."Cuca: "Loved it"
We visited Cuca as part of the Bali Food Safari tour for dessert and we loved it here! Each dish was divine, so fresh, colourful and delicately put together. The service was fantastic too. A must visit for anyone who loves delicious food!Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Simply the BEST"
"Rarely does one find a jewel like this, where staff and owner are welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much. Marcus and his team really go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable, relaxing, rejuvenating. Then comes the view : simply breathtaking. And the cozy rooms in chalets built of local materials, all conscious of the environment and preserving it. And the delicious food : you can have just about anything you feel like, and much of it comes form their own organic garden, simply delicious! Thank you TMPL for a most relaxing holiday, without noise pollution! I will be back for sure."Tugu Lombok: "A place to go"
This is a wonderfull peacefull boutique hotel. We came there by chance after being refused by our already booked sandinpondok in gili t. We spend 5 days in lombok in a front ocean room. You deserve this hotel fir many reason. Lombok is a wonderfull island. And the hotel is organizing many trips to discover the island itself. We went to thecwaterfall but not trough the normal route but taking a different path trought the rice fields. If you like hikimg g this the best way to arrive to the waterfalls. Leave aprt the more tourist way. We went with the boat to gilli island ( make sure you reserve the hotel boat and not the external ones). Gilli are overcroweded and unlessyiu are 20ies and looking for disco and ibiza mood... stay away from them and enjoy gilli under sea by boat. The hotel is simply amazing. Amixture of indonesian styles.. decorated with intersting and lovely taste. Food is excellent. Do not expect a buffet style hotel.. luckly...we have done three massage. Each one of them was professionally made.you can also buy the oils from the spa as well as visiting the antique shop of the hotel. Staff are professionally managed by the general manager. Guest relation is very professional and she will support you in choosing the right program and massage. Do not miss the moon one! Definitely a must where to stay. We loved it.Mudanwan Villa: "Luxury at its Best"
"We stayed here with our families and each family had its own villa. Each villa is unique and different from one another and faces the pond that is in the centre. The villa has a great relaxation area that serves daily afternoon tea and snacks. The area is an open space so we could listen to the nature and the insects and birds sing. The food was delicious as well. We stayed here for a couple of nights and we were able to book the private room that sat all of us around a large family round table. The food was different each night and it was delicious! The service was also exceptional. We were able to fish and swim in the infinity pool at the resort. We loved the ambience and the tranquillity. TIP: Just outside the villa there is a non-profit mini school that was started by a couple. They wanted to provide good education to the aboriginal kids who live in the area. Many university students volunteer their time to educate the children. If you were to go visit this place, please visit the mini school and perhaps you can donate some school supplies, books and perhaps mini donations. The volunteers (university students) also help serve food that the couple runs to help support the mini school. Go dine there if you are curious!!"Jing’s Residence: "Surpassed Expectations"
"Our room was delightfully different from your usual hotel room. Very large on the first floor at the rear of the premises. Rustic, eclectic, full of character. Food in the restaurant was first class - good choices for a small hotel. Comfortably western if that's what you want."Tugu Lombok: "We were totally spoilt"
Our family of five (kids 19, 16, 9) spent 11 nights at Hotel Tugu in July and it was sensational. We picked Lombok because the weather is perfect at this time of the year, the water is like a bath and we wanted somewhere less commercial than Bali. We had two of the least expensive rooms and they were huge, one accommodated the three kids easily. We spent our days snorkelling (at high tide you can swim out directly in front of the resort to see lovely tropical fish and we saw a turtle once); paddling; reading; eating and drinking; and reconnecting as a family. A day trip around the Gili Islands is a must and the nearby Autore Pearl Farm does a great tour although you'll need LOTS of money to buy their pearls. Instead I bought cheapie freshwater pearls from Ali who sells them on the beach! As with all holidays its the people who set a place apart. The staff at Tugu couldn't have done more for us. Trips to chemists for cold medication, aranging tours, making delicious food that they will serve literally anywhere you like, bringing sun lounges to you when they see you laying on the sand, and a final night display of folded towel animals, the likes of which we've never seen. If you need a real break, Tugu comes highly recommended. If you do go, please consider Lombok's Forgotten Children's Foundation (just google for details). We took over a couple of bags of good quality children's clothes and I'm currently collecting pre-used laptops and phones to send over. It's an incredible grass roots charity making a huge difference and if you're lucky enough to stay at Tugu I'm sure you can also do something small to help when you visit Lombok.
