SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Just awesome"
After much anticipation and planning we finally made it to Seeds, the new stunning restaurant of much celebrated Swiss couple Felix and Lucia. After many years in Yangon and previously the proud owners of Le Planteur they opened Seeds. Beautiful location right on the lake with stunning views, extraordinary art pieces, specially hand made plates and all the bells and whistles to go with it. The service was exceptional and the food was out of this world. Myanmar is of course only now waking up to new opportunities and a bit more freedom and much still needs to be done and on the night we visited Felix quickly had to nip off to Bangkok to bring back a suitcase full of ingredients that was not available that day in Yangon. Seriously well done to this extraordinary couple for pulling this off and you will be a fool if you are in Yangon and not visit this place! It's a must !The Island Lodge: "Perfect start to our Vietnamese adventure."
"Beautiful hideaway in the middle of the Mekong Delta. Room, food, staff and pool amazing; we loved our stay. A special thank-you to the wonderful gardener who jumped fully clothed into the Mekong to rescue my bifocal glasses when they accidentally dropped into river ! Thanks Amanda & Martin x"Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "That deserted beach we all hunger for"
"This amazing place is definitely an effort to reach. We organised a car from Surat Thani train station, which was pricey (3000 Baht - ""Cheaper Than Hotel taxi Khao Lak"" -but still undercuts other taxis) but ensured we made it to Khuraburi Pier correctly as options appeared limited. Golden Buddha organised long tail boat to and from resort but at 2000 Baht each way, it's not cheap either. The boat trip is a tour in itself, crossing mangrove swamps and weaving between islands. Due to high tides we had to get a 4x4 across Ko Phra Thong to resort but that just added to experience. Resort consists of many privately owned cabins along a 1Km stretch just back from beach (which is 12Km long and almost completely deserted!). Massi, the Italian manager was simply amazing. Extremely welcoming, engaging, considerate, just brilliant and added to trip. Our cabin, Baan Coco was nice although limited view. Unlimited water, lovely room, invigorating semi-outdoor shower and wildlife galore. Incredibly quiet so don't come if you want bustling night life! Only single option for dinner (aside nice beach pizza bar) so went half board. Food was very nice and predominantly Thai style. Changed menu each night. Thoroughly recommend trekking tour of Ko Ra, the jungle island next door, which was fantastic (prepare to have to swim!). Ultimately wonderful stay at a place that really does feel at the far edge of Thailand!"Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Dale"
2015 review, this place is heaven :)🎂 stayed in front left room was so nice I wonder if the original color was white but the blue is fine, it's peaceful but we did get hit by lightening the night before we left, well the mansion did and the paintings fell off the wall hehe☺Villa Mathis: "Toujours aussi magique!"
"This property is just fabulous. We were there for two nights and I must say we had a lovely time there. The place was so calm and the ambience was amazing. The food was delicios and the staff really courteous, always at your disposal to make sure you dont have any issues. Since it was my parents 25th Anniversary, tey happily arranged a cake and a beautiful table at the terrace so that we could welcome the occassion under the sky full of stars. I must salute the staff for the cleanliness they have maintained. And last bust not the least, the owner is really humble and polite. He too comes, and spends sometime with you and makes you feel at home. All in all, A must visit!!!"Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "What a great experience"
"I spend 3 nights at this beautiful Hanok and it was an amazing experience ! Rakkojae is in the hearth of Bukchon, in a very quiet alley. But still, its in the centre of Seoul, Anguk Subway Station is just 5 minutes away, and plenty of restaurants, sights, shops etc. are in easy walking distance (...) Dinner and breakfast are included, and are traditional and very tasty. You can also have a continental breakfast with toast and eggs if you prefer. Korean breakfast was with smoked fish (very tasty), abalone porridge (tasty, but a bit too excotic for me as a breakfast dish) and I was glad that on the third morning (I had continental breakfast on the second morning) there was a tasty soup instead of the porridge. The ladies who run Rakkojae are very friendly. I tried the Mud Sauna on the 3rd night and liked it a lot (so I wish I had tried it on the first night already). Overall, I loved it at Rakkojae, and can only recommend it. Its an amazing and beautiful place, that words can really describe. You have to go there and experience it yourself. And if you can, stay for at least 2 nights."Reverie Siam: "Antiques! Truly amazing"
Stayed here one night with my friend and we did enjoy much! A little bit expensive but it pays back a great experience.i love those decorations, antiques! It's hard to find old machines as of these days, if you wish to feel like travel back time, visit this hotel! I love our huge rooms just open your door and jump in to the pool! Thanks for the birthday present! Foods is fabulous, restaurant is very romantic for couples! Very serene and quite place. If you love nature here in Asia this is the best. And oh! There is a gazebo located into the river bank! I love it!Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Peaceful with commanding views"
While the drive up to the lodge is challenging, the lodge itself is an oasis of tranquility. Excellent service by the staff (Jhalak was always present to answer questions), and nothing is challenging for them. There are killer views from almost everywhere, and you can spend your time just gazing !! You can see the Annapurna and Macchapucchare ranges from the lodge, with the sunrise views being particularly awesome (we didn't mind getting up early to see it, especially since there was a pot of tea waiting :-) ). We undertook a short trek, and had a very knowledgeable guide about the flora and fauna that we encountered, as well as the region as a whole. The rooms are clean, and the food, both continental and Nepali, are great ! Marcus is an exceptional host.Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Hôtel Parfait"
"Excellent hôtel-concept.
