Sea Dance Resort: "Amazing 1 night stay."
"We booked to stay at Sea Dance resort for 1 night in December. We stayed in a Sea Shell pool villa and ee could not have asked for a better stay. From the warm welcome and delicious dinner to the large clean room and pool, everything was perfect. Upon booking we mentioned that we were on our honeymoon and the hotel very kindly decorated our room with flowers and there was also a bottle of bubbles on ice waiting for us. Couldn’t have loved my stay at Satri House any more than I did!! The grounds and rooms were stunning. The staff members were some of the best I’ve ever encountered. Mrauk Oo, in Rakhine State, with its interesting pagodas and stupas is slowly becoming a tourist destination. Nevertheless, the tourists you see there are still few and therefore we didn't expect any particularly nice hotel. We where very surprised when arriving at Princess Hotel we discovered a large extension of gardens and small lakes with bungalows hiding under the high trees and a central building with a nice restaurant. We spent 3 nights there with few other tourists and were very happy to be there, it added a lovely experience to the extremely interesting visits of the archeological sites.The Cabochon Hotel: "A Gem in the Heart of Bangkok"
"This is it! Don't come here to find the latest gadgets in comfort for the decerned business traveler, but make a visit to the past yet excellent in style and service. Enjoy the wonderful surroundings of a truly colonial style. What makes it all a really very nice experience is the personal service! Yes it is a kind of home. Your size is also comfortable as you will never get lost in a huge building, but you could get ""lost"" with all the nice decorations and artifacts probably from a personal collection. The restaurant serving a Thai fare is excellent. Also here the nice personal touch. Keep it up this way! You are definitely carving a very special place in the heart of Bangkok. Please do not be in a hurry here, as sometimes the Sukhumvit travel get you stranded. But then there is the BTS nearby!"Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise"
"This is Thailand's best kept secret. Charming and secluded and really really well run by Massi, the hotel manager. We were in heaven and are dreaming about our next visit. No tvs, no air conditioning, running water that smells a little due to minerals, but none of it matters when you are at the golden Buddha because you are drawn into a Robison Crusoe fantasy that you seldom find anywhere these days. "The best place to stay on Inle Lake. Gorgeous private lakeside location with beautifully landscaped ground. Well located for touring. Totally service oriented in the most friendly of ways. Very comfortable large individual chalets with large balconies, fireplace, seating area, fridge, safe, large bathroom to include outdoor shower. Nice pool area to relax at day's end. Beautiful lakeside deck for meals. We have high expectations and they were met. On arrival we asked for extra lamps (we don't like dark rooms), space heaters for the bathroom and main room and extra blankets and towels ... all were promptly and cheerfully provided. The dinning room staff was exceptional helpful in arranging meals to our individual taste. Plan on eating here ... no where else to eat."Cuca: "Great restaurant"
This is the third time we have eaten at Cuca. Doesn't disappoint! The meal sizes are small and quite rich. We have enjoyed the experience each time we have been. Its not the type of restaurant you would eat in night after night but definitely worth a visit. Only negative - $15au for corkage! "My husband and I stayed at the Cabochon Hotel over the Easter Weekend in April 2015. We found the hotel through The Secret Retreats website, and this being our first trip to Bangkok and Thailand, we decided to try something a little different from the standard Hyatt and Four Seasons of the world. Our experience with Cabachon started before we even left home. I had a couple of questions in terms of transport from the airport and booking at a restaurant we had been told was a must. I emailed the hotel asking for advice, and had a response within a few hours, not just with advice, but a restaurant booking confirmed at an exclusive restaurant over the Easter weekend on the date/time we had wanted - WOW! (...) The location of the hotel is great, located close to the sky train and shopping area's, easy to catch taxi's and massage parlours and great restaurants within walking distance. "We had a great stay here. The best bed we have ever had in a hotel.A lovely tranquil place on the river. Very friendly staff, nice rooms and public areas. Excellent breakfast and dinner. In district 2 about 30 mins from the centre of town. Regular free boat service in to town. A perfect place to stay just a little way from a very busy, noisy and bustling city. Would love to go back "
