Locavore: "Mind blowing experience"

Review by: Troy B | Source: Trip Advisor
"As I am new to the fine dining scene I wasn't quite sure what to expect but once the first tasting dish came out it was like a flavor bomb went off in my mouth and woke up taste buds I didn't know I even had and the night got better from there from the 7 starter tasters which seem to never end (trust me I didn't want it too) to the main my partner and I got the 5 course one herbacore and the other locovore it was the best way to go so we got to sample each others food yes they were small in size but I couldn't of eaten and more once it was finish we had dessert to finish off but even that was a experience as I don't really have a sweet tooth I was in heaven with the predessert taster then the dessert then the final dessert sample board neither I or my partner could fault our night at all it was culinary delight with amazing produce which is as fresh as you could possibly ask for yes the staff could use a few lessons on how to talk abit slower and louder as we couldn't really understand what we were eating but that just added to the excitement seriously looking forward to returning next time I'll be doing the 7 course with drink pairing Highly recommended and yes its pricey but if you were to go to Melbourne new York London or anywhere else for the quality you'd probably put a extra 0 on the end of the bill Great concept from a fellow Aussie and dutch working together highly recommend"

Sandat Glamping Tents: "Lovely place"

Review by: Humberone50 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I stayed here for 3 nights with my two girls aged 3 and 5 and husband in one of the tents. Even though we had young children I didn't feel that anyone minded as it is/feels like a quiet retreat. Sublime surroundings made my stay feel like a real treat. The owners were staying on site when we were there and did introduce themselves which was nice. The tents are bug proof if you keep it all closed up and having a glass door made it feel very room like. At night you go to sleep listening to frogs and crickets... very romantic. You need some strong Deet thou ! We had a meal or two here and a couple in town, the transfer is around 15 mins through beautiful rice fields and over a couple of ravines. We had a free massage as we booked directly with the website, I paid in advance for the tent via the website. Lovely people, very nice manager. Thank you Sandat for a memorable stay."

Mrauk U Princess Resort: "Beautiful Mrauk Oo Princess Resort"

Review by: Marles G | Source: Trip Advisor
"The Princess Resort is a lovely place to simply unwind after sight seeing around Mrauk Oo. There is a pool, spa, walking areas and wonderful resturaunt. The property is quiet with lovely tropical flowers and the staff very attentive. It is accessible by boat, which when the tide is against you is a long ride. But, the scenery on the way is wonderful. It is about 45 miles from the main town of Sitwe, so somewhat remote. Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent"

Maison Polanka: "A unique experience, perfectly executed"

Review by: KenatRSF | Source: Trip Advisor
"My reviews reveal a shameless sybarite, happily wallowing in the decadence of suites in the top hotels all over the planet; the Amans, the Four Seasons, the Six Senses, the Belmonds. Siem Reap has most of these and visitors would be served well at any one of them in their visit Angkor Wat. For something wildly different and unique, however, book the ""Khmer House"" at Maison Polanka, the best of the five available rooms. This is a lush garden, about two acres, surrounded with high walls off a bumpy, unpaved back street not too far from the main canal road and the Museum (and the Aman). Behind the electric sliding door is a beautiful, cool and shaded oasis of grass, kept wet, with high trees and flowering shrubs. It is quiet and peaceful; there is no traffic noise Khmer House is a small, simple wooden, single room building on stilts in the center of the property. The large living room is underneath the house and the equally large bedroom with a sitting veranda is above. The bedroom is air-conditioned and has fans, in addition. See the website for photos. All this at less than half the price of the chains. Dining is under an outdoor pavilion adjacent to a very nice 50 foot pool, suitable for laps and cooling off after a visit to the temples. The menu, though limited, is varied and offers excellent suggestions for any palate. We were so pleased we ate all our meals there for five days, not venturing outside. I also attended the cooking school; one student and three cooks. Lots of fun. As it turned out, a great advantage of our booking was the superb service we received with our private car with driver and guide. Our guide, ""Pich"", is a certified, uniformed guide for Angkor Wat and accompanied us on all our temple tours for two days. She arranged for the tickets and the timing for our visits to avoid crowds. (We enjoyed the sunrise over the main temple.) She is an excellent, knowledgeable guide. The driver awaited us with ice-cold towels and water when we finished each temple visit. He was also available on call and waited for us on shopping and museum visits. a very worthwhile indulgence. The staff is small but attentive and anxious to please. Upon each return to the garden, a young women awaits with a cold towel at your room. This is not ""roughing it""; it is equal luxury in a different guise. A superb alternative to the usual."

The Cabochon Hotel: "Charming and Comforting"

Review by: Luis C | Source: Trip Advisor
"So relieved every time we got back to the hotel from the hot streets of Bangkok. A great experience in comfort and service. Simple breakfast but pretty nice and complete. The Design and atmosphere are de real winners at this place. Location its also a good feature, not down at the center of the City but not to far. A good center point of new and upcoming attractions and the resto of the neighborhoods. Very recomendable."

Chakrabongse Villas: "Relaxing days in bangkok"

Review by: rainer w | Source: tripadvisor.com
We stayed four days in the amazing riverside villa. Starting with a very friendly and warm welcome by the manager Ms.Atom, our stay was as good as we had expected. An oasis in the hustle and bustle of the city of Bangkok. You will feel like prince and princess in former times, to whom a perfect breakfast and dinner will be served in a beautiful location. The whole staff did their very best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you very much Atom and all the others, it was a great start for our journey and we will definitly come back!!

David’s Kitchen: "In a league of its own"

Review by: Flyakiwi | Source: Trip Advisor
"My title says all! I simply cannot speak highly enough of David's Kitchen, this is a MUST do in Chiang Mai. My partner and I ordered the set menu to celebrate my 30th birthday. This allowed us to try Davids most signature dishes and we weren't disappointed!! The food, service and personal touches were absolutely splendid. Many reviews note their personal experience with David, and yes this is fabulous but I would also like to mention the amazing unity the entire team have to ensure your experience is like none other. I only wish there were most restaurants like this in the world!"

Rak Ko Jae Hahoe: "Charming and peaceful"

Review by: underw00d | Source: Trip Advisor
Although we've stayed at Japanese ryokan many times, this was our first experience of a hanok stay, and it didn't disappoint. Same warm welcome (with a cup of green tea and a wedge of apple), same simple aesthetics and same temptingly snug futon-like mattresses on the floor. What was different? The ondol underfloor heating, which was deliciously warm underfoot but if anything a little too hot for sleeping on, with the heat seeping up through the mattresses a little too efficiently. The gloriously-scented sauna experience. And the breakfast, which was a delicious vegetable-infused rice porridge, grilled mackerel, pickles and a bowl of fresh yoghurt with blueberries, nuts and dried fruits. The location is beautiful too, and so peaceful, with nothing more than birdsong and a cock crowing to break the silence. It was a little too cold to be able to enjoy the delightful private seating area on the veranda to the side of the building but in a week or two that will be a lovely place to enjoy an evening drink (bring your own!) or a morning cuppa. Thoroughly recommended

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Heavenly Retreat"

Review by: JaneChichester | Source: Trip Advisor
"Elegant, tasteful and spiritual haven. A wonderful end to an amazingly busy and eventful tour.We left feeling rejuvenated and fully refreshed having enjoyed the wonderfully comfortable and harmonious ambience. The attention to detail and care taken at every level contributes to the magic of this place. With only twelve cottages, we were given personal service and attention of the highest order. The breakfasts served at the beach cafe are beautifully presented and delicious. In the evening we enjoyed supper under the stars at the beach cafe too…eating freshly caught fish and sea food."

Tugu Bali: "My kind of Paradise!"

Review by: Billyana | Source: Trip Advisor
It was one of a kind romantic experience to stay in Tugu Bali Hotel. All was amazing there! The hotel is a kind of a museum, exhibiting a collection of ancient Asian art and crafts, sellected by the owner himself. Walking on alleys, passing through the lobby or some of the restaurants, you not only enjoy the design, but you learn a lot about the culture in details. The romantic villas make you feel more than special. My husband and I are higly impressed by Tugu Bali!
