Jing’s Residence: "Not to be missed"

Review by: Hodson2014 | Source: Trip Advisor
"If you wish to visit Ping Yao while in China, this hotel is THE place to stay. It is, in fact, worth the trip, all by itself. The classic beauty of the old town and a stay at Jing's Residence combines for an unforgettable experience. Aline Wilson "

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "A great way to see Yala National Park"

Review by: nicole t | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed here with our young family for one night. The guides were amazing, food was great and the Accomodation was very good - a nice family glamping tent. A great all inclusive way to see Yala. Highly recommended! Stayed February 2017, traveled with family"

Yandabo Home: "Way beyond expectations"

Review by: mfranks911 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Yandabo is probably best known for the Treaty signed in 1826 which ended the first Anglo Burmese War as well as its famous clay pottery made in an old traditional way from river clay. Yandabo Home is an excellent stop on the ferry journey from Bagan to Mandalay or vice versa. We stayed two nights into Christmas and had a most enjoyable stay. The ""resort"" consists of 12 spacious rooms with all mod cons. Teak floors, painted grey and cream walls and an excellent bathroom consisting of a large walk in shower, double sinks, a large bed and plenty of space. There is a safe and mini-bar but no TV or WiFi. All the rooms are on the upper decking and the dining area is lower down. Food was surprisingly good and we had the Christmas Eve menu on our second night. This was very good and the kitchen had gone to a lot of trouble to prepare this and with plenty of drinks too! We were very fortunate to meet the owner, Dr Aung Myat Kyaw, a charming man and found out that Yandabo Home is actually part of a number of hotels owned including three in Ngapali Beach as well as one of the cruise boat companies plying the river. The village itself is interesting and there is plenty to see sitting back watching the river and birdlife. Highly recommended."

The Samar: " Something else"

Review by:  Croatia_ZG | Source: Trip Advisor
" Siem Reap itself is something else. You can feel certain peace and tranquility immidiately after you land there. When you check in to hotel Samar Villa & Spa, this feeling of serenity and relaxation comes to it's full power. It is situated just a bit outside of the city centre limits, which is actually great. Tuk tuk is affordable so a 4,5 minute ride to the Siem Reap centre is really not a problem. On a contrary, nice way to cool down after a hot day in Angkor temples, before you step into the Samar swimming pool. Check in procedure is really smooth and relaxing, with nice welcome drinks and towels provided for all. Hotel is not big, so even if they are full, you are almost all the time alone and you feel like you have it all just for yourself. Staff are very nice and provide help but privacy in the same time, which we appreciated highly. Rooms are so nice, in french colonial style, maintained well, decorated with style. Breakfasts were so delicious, there is no buffet, but you can order your daily choice and they will prepare it for you. Very tasty. Some of the comments before were negative (eg maintainance, insect spraying,...). We found them not to be true, and as far as insects are concerned, of course they have to spray, but as the end result you can have nice relaxing evenings without bugs and mosquitos. They do it during the day, when all/most guests are out, exploring temples.... All in all, i really hope me and my family will come back to Cambodia and Siem Reap soon. Then we will stay in Samar again for sure! It is for every recommendation."

Bassac Cruises: "Very enjoyable and better than expected"

Review by: Infrequentlunch | Source: Trip Advisor
We were lucky to have been allocated Bassac 1. I say that because she is an original vessel with fewer cabins than her sister boats and has a very pleasing worn in feel. We were greeted on board by the charming and friendly crew who looked after us very well throughout. Other reviewers have kindly given the details of the various things that you can see on or off the boat but my take is that this is definitely something worth doing. Sitting on deck as the sun sinks below the river is a wonderful experience. We would have happily spent another night on board.

Maduzi Hotel: "Excellent attention to detail"

Review by: Jim P | Source: Trip Advisor
Stayed here for 3 nights with my wife following a recommendation from a friend and really enjoyed the experience. The room was excellent value for money and very handy access to the nearby Asok BTS station. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Bangkok.

Tugu Lombok: "Get pampered"

Review by: Cvxa | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed 5 nights in a Swarga Villa immediately after end of ramadan. The photographs of the Villa on the website are not favorable when compared to what it is really. The villa is very nice : terrass with table and chairs, one spacious room including area for desk, generous semi-open air bathroom, patio, and open-air place with two sunbeds and a view on the sea (however, the place is mostly in the shade, you can hardly sunbathe here). Limited privacy on open-air areas. Everything is perfectly working and service is impeccable. For those who would go for an Bhagavat Gita Oceanfront Suite, note that the pool is small (it is a plunge pool) and there is no privacy. Pool is in a garden open to the beach. The service is outstanding, from welcome to good-bye. We would like to drop a special note for Erik at front-desk, Mahmud and Ruslan in the restaurant. They have been excellent making us really feeling at home. What is special to Tugu Lombok is that you can have dinner (and I guess even breakfast) wherever you like : on the beach, on the pool, on the pond, on the spa roof which is like a temple, at your villa.... Food is nice (if not always excellent) and reasonable in price given the standard of the resort. But the choice of wine at an affordable price could be better, including some less expensive wines from Bali for example. Breakfast is generous in every way. We have been less convinced by the spa. Prices are equivalent to 5* in Jakarta but quality level is lower. Whereas quality of massage was quite good, everything else was not luxurious or refined. There are no male therapists. Beach : yes, it is true that there are pieces of coral on the sand. It is however easy to avoid them. In addition, Tugu cleans the beach as much as possible and they have rockshoes available (free). In fact, those coral are more problematic to get into and out of the water, but it did not spoil our pleasure in any way. A big pool, in addition to the nice one in front of the restaurant, is perfect for swimmers (long approx. 30 m, with a smart three-level deep system). Tugu is secluded and very quiet, and this was what we wanted. Fyi, there are no other options for dinner nearby. Bicycles are available (free), local people in the village are very nice and welcoming. Regarding the design, we loved it. But check their website before you book and you can easily see whether you like this style of deco or not. Opinion is given taking into account that the hotel is considered being of very high, ""luxury"" standard (5 stars)."

Reverie Siam: "Paradise personified"

Review by: crh3983 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Only stayed one night as we took a last minute motorbike trip down from Chiang Mai, but it was well worth the journey! Was in Pai in 2014 and visited the bar/restaurant before the hotel had officially opened and was curious to see how it all turned out. Let's just say it lived up to the expectation. Such a special place and amazing staff to top it all off. Regret only staying for a night but so glad I had the chance to visit again and celebrate our engagement here. Stayed April 2017, traveled as a couple"
