Glenburn Tea Estate: "An Amazing Experience"

Review by: Dipa2016 | Source: Trip Advisor
"The most ideal location for relaxation . Situated in a valley surrounded by pristine forests , this tea estate is a jewel . The hotel has eight beautifully done rooms and to find an accommodation during the peak season is difficult . Visiting this place I realised why it is so popular among international tourists as well as domestic travellers . You can relax here with a book or take trekking trips according to your preference . The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. Several cups of the best of teas can be tasted here throughout the day , the iced tea being my favourite . The tea factory tour is a must do. The Kanchenjunga , seen from the estate, with it's snow capped peaks , bathed by the morning sunlight was indeed a treat for the eyes"

Manukan Island Resort: "Paradise"

Review by: Jayne C | Source: Trip Advisor
We booked for one night as a last minute treat during our stay in Borneo. We were overwhelmed by what we got. We originally booked the cheapest double room, but when we arrived and was shown to our room, even though we were before the check in time, we were flabbergasted that we were given a beach villa over looking the private beach and sea. The room was luxurious, the staff were attentive and our over night stay was romantic. The only problem we encountered was the restaurant staff, who forget to bring us our drinks and the food wasn't that great. Over all a fabulous place for that romantic get away.

The Island Lodge: "Relaxing place with lovely staff"

Review by: John D | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed here at the beginning of our trip to Vietnam for three nights, with the intention of recovering from jet lag at a leisurely place and pace. One of us had started the trip with a nasty cold and we decided it needed a look from a doctor. The hotel owner, Michel and his assistant Amy were very helpful in arranging this quickly and with a minimum of fuss. Within a couple of hours we had been to the local clinic (with Amy on hand to translate) and returned with appropriate medications. This was above what we would have expected and topped off a very relaxing stay in a well thought out hotel. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Relax in luxury"

Review by: a visitor from ireland | Source: Trip Advisor
"From the moment you enter this resort you start to relax. The resort is well designed so you feel very secluded from other guests. We had a seaview room which was very comfortable. It was spacious and had a nice sit out area which was shaded at all times. The pool is magical with great views over the sea. We stayed for 4 nights and for most of the time we were the only guests as it was the start of the season. I started each day with the yoga, the instructor Anil is excellent and he was patient with this beginner. The food is very good, no western food on the main menu but they did offer to create some for us - but we couldn't resist the local dishes. The do have indian beer and wine but no cocktails or spirits. The staff were very attentive and we were looked after very well. The spa is an oasis of calm and I recommend trying some treatments, the therapists were great. The beach was lovely to walk along, easily accessible from the resort. It's not a private beach so we met some very friendly locals. I only left the resort once, for a short cycle on one of the hotel bikes which was fun. I'd love to return here and could easily stay for a week. Total relaxation in this beautiful oasis of calm."

Tugu Lombok: "Paradise!"

Review by: Alice C | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed here for 6 nights in December and had the best time of our lives. This place is amazing! The hotel and it's grounds are so beautiful. We stayed in one of the Amempang rooms and it was so luxurious and absolutely huge. I've never been anywhere like this before- it's absolute paradise. The staff are exceptional and all so happy, friendly, welcoming and eager to go the extra mile for you. My boyfriend proposed to me while we were here, and because he'd let them know what he was planning they set us up a private dinner in one of the beds on the beach and had it all decorated for us. When we went back to our room they had decorated that for us too! They had made animal arrangements out of the towels, lit candles in the bathroom and filled up the bath with water and flowers. They made our whole stay so special I can't thank them enough. We are coming back for our honeymoon!

Manda De Laos: "Romantic dinner simply divine"

Review by: robertkeusen99 | Source: Trip Advisor
"In the hotel complex Maison Dalabua, the restaurant Manda de Laos is an amazing oasis in the middle of the city. Beautiful garden with UNESCO-classified lily ponds is very nice grouped around a lotus pond (very well kept, in the evening beautiful lit). The cook understands his craft and the service, above the restaurant manager Ambroise S, pay attention to trifles. Special requests are gladly and quickly carried out. As a tourist, you are pleased (rightly!) about a romantic dinner at the lily pond of this very well maintained hotel area. Excellent Lao cuisine, the menus offer a good selection of typical dishes. Everything fresh and excellent quality. The prices are upscale, but appropriate. Staff very friendly, courteous and professional. It is certainly one of the best restaurants in Luang Prabang. Pleasant wine selection. We were very thrilled!"

The Hue House: "Incredible evening on a stormy night"

What a little gem of a rooftop restaurant. Our family of 4 really enjoyed the friendly and attentive service, delicious food and natures sound and light show. Highly recommended.

Arumdalu: "Best so far on the island"

Review by: Suryo W | Source: Trip Advisor
"Im giving 5 as this is the best one so far on the island. They have to aware that it is easy to beat them if there is another villa compound opening on the island. The villa is big, toiletries is good, but there is no mirror in the bathroom. The private pool is refreshing, overlooking the forest. The food though is amazing. They took it very seriously. Great job for the chef. But the staffs at the restaurant need to level up their standard, both knowledge and service level. The beach is stunning. They should maintain the complex very well, otherwise it runs down fast."

Sea Dance Resort: "Wonderful resort"

Review by: Flavius M | Source: Trip Advisor
I have booked for three nights. The biggest problem this resort has is its location. Not the best one I would say. Being located in Choeng Mon, the taxi drivers will struggle finding it as it's not on the main road and the signage is unclear. The fun in Samui is in Chaweng and if you're not renting a bike you're being ripped off by taxi drivers to get there, unless you will share a baht bus/tuk tuk... The other minus for my stay was the weather. Unfortunately, almost forgot how the sun looks like during my stay.. too much rain and clouds.. and this stopped me from spending some time at the wonderful pool this resort has. The staff is incredibly nice and the food is good though expensive.. the decoration is amazing, the garden and nature is heaven... If I were to recommend it, I'd say it's for people who look for peace and quiet, couples and families. But you should definitely research the weather, it rains a lot in Samui!! From what I heard until October it's nice and you would definitely enjoy your stay at Sea Dance.. also I had an unexpected guests in the first night, a lizzard :)

The Village House: "A diamond in the middle of nowhere"

Review by: Serendipiti | Source: tripadvisor.com
We stayed here to enjoy a relaxed couple of days after a demanding tour theough malaysia and Borneo and though we have stayed at some of the fanciest and most luxurios hotels in the world we have to admit that the village house is one of the best accomodations we have stayed at. Sure it isn't a five star hotel with such amenities as flat screen tv's, tennis courts, jacuzzis and sorts but it makes up for it by being charming, romantic and being well taken care of. The house itself is as beautiful as it gets and gives you a 'home' feeling right from the start. You are welcomed by the manager herself and she takes care of your every need. If there is anything just let her know and she will find a way to wirl it out for you. Sort of like a good spirit. The girls are really nice as well and take good care of the facilities. The rooms are very well maintained and will be cleaned up twice daily. The food is (compared to malaysian standards) a bit pricey (but compared to western standards still ok) but soooo worth it! We can barely remember having had better asian food than the local Bidayuh cuisine. True, there isn't much you can do or explore around the village house but if you plan on a relaxing couple of days by the pool, maybe read a book then this is the place to go. My husband still claims its 'the best hotel/b&b i've ever stayed at'. We simply loved it!!
