Tugu Lombok: "Very Polite Staff and Excellence Service"
Hotel Tugu Lombok is located near Bangsal port (port from Lombok island to Gili islands). Firstly, I came to hotel just for asking their room rates since I already knew their famous unique hotel in Malang. Surprisingly, their staffs are very polite and informative giving explanation about their room types and also the rate. They also let me and my family to walk around hotel and saw several rooms. Finally we took a rest in their restaurant while enjoying some fresh juices and pizza. Although we didn't stay for this moment, but I will recommend this hotel for their excellence service, friendliness and polite staffs.Reverie Siam Pai: "Best couple getaway in Pai"
This could be one of the best kept secret place in Pai. We stayed in a mountain view suite which is very spacious. The hotel is so lovely and the food at the main restaurant is so good that we were really reluctant to go anywhere. A perfect stay!Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Wonderful property with a few tiny misses"
"Walking into the Blue Mansion really does take your breath away. It's a beautiful property with a sense of serene grandeur that photos don't *quite* do justice. Every courtyard, corridor, staircase and room just looked beautiful. The feeling of tranquility was such a contrast to the hustle and bustle of George Town. There is a new pool that is opening in January apparently. We could see it through a window and it looks AMAZING. The 3 daily tours (don't go into guest wings) gave a great historical background to the property, walking through the building afterwards you could feel the echoes of past inhabitants. Overall Would definitely stay here again, serene, relaxing, historical, photogenic! Room We stayed in a Liang room - Towkay. Liang is the base room type, but it is very big and spacious. Comfortable and appropriately decorated in keeping with the mansion. Snacks and juices were provided daily. The room was really welcoming and relaxing to come back to after a humid day of urban hiking and eating! Some other reviews mentioned mosquitos, we didn't have any problem. We were staying in the quiet wing, away from the hawker centre next door. That side has some decorative pools, so maybe an issue on that side, but we didn't have any problem at all with mosquitos or noise. Breakfast The breakfast is served in the central courtyard and was fine. Good coffee, fruits toasts, DELICIOUS spreads. There is also an a la carte menu of around 6 choices of local and western cooked breakfasts, which were good also. Not spectacular, but good. We didn't eat lunch or dinner there. The staff could sometimes take a looonng time to acknowledge you and the cooked breakfast could take it's time. Coffee was good :) Location Great. Walking distance to everything you need. Close to a hop on hop off bus stop if that takes your fancy. Service Good by Malaysian standards. Calls to the front desk were dealt with promptly, friendly and cheerful at all times. Tiny Misses The wifi in the room was great on the first day and then terrible for the next day or two. Really, really frustrating when using to research things to do and book tours etc. When we asked if it was being fixed, we were offered a pocket wifi to use out and about and in the room. This may have been mentioned in the room booklet, but we didn't notice it until our last day! We arranged an airport transfer, and understand that this is always going to cost way more than a taxi or uber. Pick up was good, in a nice car. Return trip they put us in a taxi that I think was waiting for someone else, the driver put the meter on when we sat down and had no idea that it was paid for by the hotel and had to go back in and check. I don't think they actually booked the return trip. We could have got a taxi ourselves and paid half the price we did. PS. Uber is so super cheap in Penang! Nice Touches Juices, treats most afternoons, and some nice soaps as Christmas presents (we were there on Christmas day), friendly front desk staff. Room Tip: Ask for rooms away from the Red Garden hawker centre. Ask for pocket wifi on arrival!"Satri House: "Attention to Detail"
"The Satri House setting is welcoming, elegant, and most comfortable. The quality of all offerings (lovely grounds and statuary, water features, open-air restaurant, and rooms) is evident at first glance. The staff present a sincere attitude of kindness and concern to guests and strive to fulfill any possible requests. Be sure to ask to use the free bikes for a special view of Luang Prabang. Room Tip: We made no requests for a special room and were quite pleased with the hotel's choice for us."Tugu Lombok: "Magical – Inspiring – Spiritual Almost."
"This was a trip we took with the family. One big room for my sisters and me and the rents in another. The place, from the minute you walk in you are greeted by kind staff, and the door grabs young transports you to another time! The little things like going in at night and preparing your room is just one of those things that make the trip extra special. By the second day they know how you like your tea, what your child wants, and how you take your eggs. If you are looking for a true eco-touristic place that is honest about what it presents, this is the place! There is so much more than a simple hotel! Its a true experience!"The Hue House: "Nice"
Its really nice place to hang around on weekend. I like the place .the food is delicious with affordable prices. The staff is very attentive towards the guest , good service. I will be back.Locavore: "Spectacular Food, Great Cocktail Pairings, Beautiful Service"
"This is absolutely a place to be highly recommended. We went for the seven course meal with cocktail pairings and were definitely not disappointed. The restaurant is located on a busy street in the center of Ubud but inside its an oasis of quiet and style. Before the actual seven course meal started several amuses were served, all highly innovative, delicious and interesting. The menu changes regularly and I think there's little point going over the individual dishes but here's a couple of things to note: - There's a seven and a five course meal. If you are not a big eater five might be more than enough since there will also be some amuses and extras. - The restaurant does an all-vegetarian variety of the seven/five course meal. In case you can't choose, it's perfectly fine to have one and your partner the other. Courses are served at the same time but do come with other cocktail pairings. - The cocktail pairings are really a treat. However don't think of them as regular cocktails, more like smaller/less potent versions (so you won't be completely drunk at the end of the evening). - If you rather have wine with your meal the restaurant has an interesting wine list. - - Cocktail pairings for two equal roughly two bottles of house wine to give you an indication of prices. - We paid about four million Indonesia Rupiah (or four hundred Singapore dollars). For that we had two cocktails to start with, one veg and one non-veg seven-course meal, plus cocktail pairings. Absolutely worth it."Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "A peaceful"
This hanok is very beautiful. I had a peaceful moment when staying there. The food is delicious and the host are very helpful and nice. He is a good English speaker, it is easy to communicate with him and he is always in quick respond. Definitely, I will stay here again and highly recommended!Mekong Villas: "Hidden Gem"
"Lovely people at a lovely spot. The only thing unfortunate was the cold wheather and Thai brick beds. Other than that plain lovely! If you like quiet the slightly steep price is definitely worth it! They organized dinner and a boat trip for us, both very reasonably priced."Mathis Retreat: "Beautiful tranquil oasis in the rice fields"
"The Kenanga in Ubud is a perfect place to stay. We had a room overlooking the beautiful rice fields of the hotel. The gardens are very lovely and the infinity pool is awesome. Breakfast is served a la carte and is delicious (the fruit jam is very tasty...). To get to Ubud Centre there is a free shuttle every hour until 5pm. Afterwards you have to take a taxi for around 40000 Rupiah. An alternative (by daylight) is to walk through the lush rice fields and arrive in the city centre after 1 hour. Carine, the owner is extremely helpful and organized a small private trekking tour with a local guide for us to a remote waterfall. All in all we had a wonderful time in Kenanga and will be back for sure next time we are in Ubud."
