Rahai’i Pangun: "4 day / 3 night orang utan Boat trip"
"The boat was absoletly comfortable, the crew was very friendly, the guide very helpful and the food on board great. Go for 3d/2 night trip if you are in hurry and for a 4d/3night trip if you want to excplore everthing at a very leisure pace."Villa Song Saigon: "2 nights wasn’t enough"
"Fabulous hotel, loved every minute. After a busy 2 weeks travelling south from Hanoi via Mekong Delta it was a real treat to finish our trip with 2 nights at Villa Song. It was extremely hot in Saigon compared to everywhere else so we used the hotel as a sanctuary to recuperate and enjoy. We got it right! The free shuttle boat into town was great and frequent, so the only trip we made was to the market to finish our gift and souvenir shopping, then spent the rest of the day by the pool. It was lovely also to sit by the river watching the 'traffic', with delicious food and friendly staff. Breakfast was served for most of the morning and was a fantastic way to start the day. The room was great (we had an extra bed put into a twin room) on the top storey - a bit of a climb without a lift but not a huge problem, it's not as though you had to carry your bags or anything! Absolutely top of the list for another trip to Saigon, and maybe next time I will be able to drag myself away from the oasis that is Villa Song and see a little bit of the city!"Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Charming Boutique Hotel"
Stayed a couple of nights at Cabochon and envoyer our stay there. The hotel is very well designed in a colonial style and they have put every efforts to go into details. The breakfast was very nice, the top roof pool excellent and the staff awesome! I would have just not put so many stuffed animals (was very disappointed to see sea turtles for instance).Hotel Tugu Malang: "Fantastic museum that functions as a splendid hotel"
"The Hotel Tugu in Malang is truly a gem that is worth visiting when in the area. The high tea is amazing in a colonial setting with a huge array of teas and coffees and also the accompanying delicacies. I highly recommend going on the art tour with Manda, the Guest Recognition Officer. She eloquently explained the most important pieces of art and gave us a nice tour through the whole hotel. In the evening we went to the (cigar) bar, where there's an impressive selection of cocktails, wines and spirits. The bartender was a bit disconnected, but made good cocktails. The breakfast was the only part we were able to enjoy at the restaurant, since we went somewhere else for dinner. Again, a huge selection from which you can choose your preference (healthy options included). Certainly worth visiting, especially for the price they offer. I can even highly recommend the Presidential Suite for 15,000,000 that Manda was so kind to show us. What an impressively sized bed it has, wow! John from the reception was extremely kind too! I almost forgot the most amazing part: even though it's located right in the heart of the city and next to a busy road, the rooms are completely quiet and you enjoy a relaxing sleep."Pindaya Farm House: "A wonderful, relaxing time"
Aye Aye, her husband and team at Thahara Pindaya couldn't have been more welcoming. The accommodation and food were fantastic and the walks and sightseeing gave us a small insight to a spectacular, fantastic, friendly country. Thank you!Misool: "EXISTE PARAISO NA TERRA"
Paraíso perdido no planeta terra. The Island Lodge: "Delightful respite"
"We totally enjoyed our overnight in Mekong Delta at The Island Lodge. We arrived mid-afternoon, about the hottest time of day but felt cool and relaxed as soon as we stepped off our boat. The staff was professional and very helpful in dealing with a passport/visa issue. The room was very clean, well layed out and the decor was ever so tasteful. We were able to make last-minute arrangements for spa treatments in spite of the late time of our arrival. The grounds are well-kept and provided a delightful area to meander and relax. Our dinner orders were taken upon arrival which, while unusual, did allow us to make a special request for extra small portions as we have small appetites. We were especially happy to be presented the requested small portions of each dish and were delighted by the wonderful meal. A special mention to the chef! While English is not spoken fluently by everyone on staff, that only added to the charm as we recognize we speak only five words of Vietnamese. Communicating is part of the adventure of traveling. We enjoyed a short conversation with the owners who, it is clear, love what they have created and seem to want to ensure their guests have the best experience. The only thing I found a bit less-than-perfect is the volume of the A/C unit. Normally I do not like to sleep with the A/C on but the temperatures made that impossible. Each room has its own unit which is loud enough that we were not able to enjoy the normal night sounds through the screened openings which, during our visit, consisted of thunder and socializing geckos. I definitely recommend this property if you have the opportunity to stay in the Mekong Delta."Satri House: "Calme et raffinement."
The most beautiful place in all of Luang Prabang to dine!"
We were simply blown away by the setting of this restaurant. You walk in thinking it's just a nice place and then the amazement begins. The dining is alongside many ponds that create a setting of relaxation and wonder. The teens even enjoyed exploring on the paths over the water which were candle lit. The food and service were very good. I wouldn't say every dish was the best, but overall, our party was happy with their food and the waiters were so kind and willing to help, even our fussy eater. What a fun night out with family and friends.Tugu Malang: "An incredible night in a lively museum"
"The TUGU Malang is a unique place on earth, being both a magnificent museum and an ultra-comfortable hotel with a pool. You will be flabbergasted by the magnificence of the place: antiques, artefacts, wooden doors, Bali temples...all inside the hotel. Take to your time to wander and step back in time. The food is delicious and the breakfast amazingly rich of flavours. The location is very central, the service is of high-standard. The only weaknesses of the place would be some rooms facing a wall (but the hotel kindly moved us to a pool view), and the busy and noisy traffic circle outside (ask for a room not facing the traffic circle)."
