Rachamankha: "An Oasis of Peace"
"My wife and I stayed for just one night at the Rachamankha hotel at the end of our wonderful holiday in Laos (courtesy of Pandaw) and Northern Thailand. It was just perfect, from the large beautiful room, to the restful swimming pool, to the bar and dining room. Its close to the main temple, and also for last minute souvenir shopping, the ""walking street"". The quality of service was outstanding, and our evening meal, just a light one, tasted amazing. I almost didn't want to write a review, as I would like this place to stay as it is, an oasis in the midst of a vibrant city. When we come back to ChiangMai, as I hope we will, this hotel will be a no-brainer of a choice."Tugu Bali: "Paradise in Bali"
We spent the last night here after a three week holiday travelling around Bali. This was a birthday treat and the icing on my cake! It is a very stylish and unqiue hotel full of the most beautiful pieces of Balinese artworks. Our room was on the second floor overlooking koi ponds with the sea in the background. It was a stunning room with a gorgeous sunken bath and a huge fabulously comfortable bed. The staff and service were amazing as was the food. Stumbled across Golden Buddha through a family recommendation and had the most fantastic time. "The Blue Mansion is such a beautiful hotel. The history, decor and ambiance are so relaxing. The staff were very friendly and willing to help with anything. It's in a good location and they also lend you push bikes to go exploring on. There were so many thoughtful details eg in the presentation, room ""turn down"" with cake tin, and homemade jams and marmalades for breakfast. Fantastic. I love tasting menus, and Le Du’s really stood out for me. While there are usually a dish or two that are just “good”, Le Du’s tasting was consistent throughout; excellent. "Stayed as a family (kids 5, 9 & 11) for a long weekend (3 nights). Stayed in a two-story family villa that was spacious and cozy, with beautiful rice paddy views. Kids chased frogs at night with flashlights and splashed in the pool during the day. Playroom above the restaurant and the pétanque court in the back were great additions! Excellent food & service, superb massages - also for kids, which is rare and ours loved it! Did the walking tour in the rice paddies and nearby village, including a swim in the waterfalls - it was wonderful. Also did the trip to Danau Tambligan, which was interesting, and the Munduk waterfalls. The sunsets are amazing, and the peaceful surrounds make for a perfect R&R destination. We will be back! I've been coming to Bali for 30 years and this is by far the best Hotel I've stayed in. We originally booked for 4 nights and ended up staying for close to 3 weeks? Staff are exceptional, the location is amazing and the rooms are full of character. The X- Large bed is very comfortable and the attention to detail throughout the entire hotel is a reflection of the Management and staffs commitment in providing a memorable experience. We stayed at the Villa Song Hotel for our first night in Vietnam and for our last 3 nights and we have nothing but good things to say. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the food is excellent (including the breakfast which is served all day), the hotel is in a perfect position by the river - so quiet and peaceful after visiting HCM. and the free boat shuttle service is a wonderful way to visit the city. The hotel deserves all the good reviews it receives and hopefully will be no.1 for many more years.
