4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Absolutely stunning!"

"I have heard about 4Rivers for a long time before finally visiting in for the first time about 4 years ago. I was there again last week and realized how much I missed it. After a short boat drive from Road48 surrounded by lush jungle, a feel of Apocalypse Now, and a bend on the river, there… you discover 4Rivers! These white tents floating in the middle of this majestic hilly evergreen jungle, 4Rivers is like a haven of comfort and beauty in the middle of Tarzan’s home place! Koh Kong Province is definitely a must! Out of the beaten track but with the access becoming easier every year, if you were ever hesitating going this way, don’t!"

The Apsara Rive Droite: "Start and end your day with a boat ride, what could be better"

Stayed here with friends for a business meeting and leisure trip last September. What a find! Perfectly located a short boat ride (1 minute) across the Nam Khan river from old town Luang Prabang with river views from the rooms, this is a really charming property offering all you need for a great Luang Prabang stay. By the way, it is owned by the owner of The Apsara (a hotel/restaurant) which is on the opposite side of the river and has just the best dining for authentic, and delicious Luang Prabang cuisine...not to be missed! I cannot fault my stay at the Apsara Rive Droite. The room was a highlight - big airy rooms tastefully and purposefully decorated (loved the coffee percolator with local fresh ground coffee), big balcony to sit and enjoy the peaceful river scene below, and super comfortable big bed (a lot of bigs there for a boutique hotel!...who says size isn't everything, you cannot beat a nice spacious room and bathroom). But the top highlight for me at Rive Droite was the staff, from the owner to the boatman (yes the Rive Droite boat is on call at all times and just part of the service for their guests) warm, friendly and always ready with a tip on how to get the best from your stay from recommending me a bicycle ride to sourcing some Luang Prabang sausage for me to take home, it really was like staying amongst friends. I have to say, there really cannot be a better way to start and end any day than a slow boat ride across a lazy river...

Tugu Lombok: "Menginap Sambil Menikmati Panorama Pantai"

"Hotel ini letaknya strategis di pinggir pantai. Tempatnya ramah lingkungan dengan penataan yang serasi. Penerimaan receptionis baik dan ramah. Desain interior hotel sangat menawan. Kamar dan kamar mandi sangat bersih. Penataaan kamarnya sangat bagus. Terdapat balkon sehingga kami bisa menikmati keindahan panorama pantai. Suasananya sangat nyaman sehingga menginap disini dapat tidur dengan tenang. Staff hotel layanannya sangat memuaskan. Kolam renang kondisinya bagus. Menu resto bervariasi dan masakannya enak. Reverie Siam: "Truly memorable stay"

Amazing place, very quiet and peaceful. The garden and hotel grounds are gorgeous. Room is huge and clean. Food is really delicious, great option for breakfast and dinner. Staff is super warm welcome and will sincerely do everything to make your stay truly memorable. They know very well how to provide the best service. Especially thanks to Khun Dee from restaurant. We'll definitely be back.

Mie Cafe: "most creative young Khmer chef!"

Always pleased to get back to a place I liked... and see quality is consistent, service is even better and the chef still humble and creative. Congrats to Chef Pola and his team!

Rachamankha: "Delightful boutique hotel"

"Delightful boutique hotel set in an old building with lots of character. We had a room set around a pretty courtyard area. It was a bit small by 5* Thai standards but nicely decorated and a very comfortable bed. The restaurant is set in a lovely courtyard where you have both breakfast & dinner. It has a reasonable breakfast choice with buffet & a la carte options - I had the Egg Benedict and an omelette on separate occasions which were both really tasty. We also ate twice in the evening (see separate entry). Lovely quiet swimming pool with the sun from 09.00. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to help. Location might be an issue for some people as it is quite far from the market and busier part of town but I would certainly go back to enjoy the tranquility of the place. The Village House: "A diamond in the middle of nowhere"

We stayed here to enjoy a relaxed couple of days after a demanding tour theough malaysia and Borneo and though we have stayed at some of the fanciest and most luxurios hotels in the world we have to admit that the village house is one of the best accomodations we have stayed at. Sure it isn't a five star hotel with such amenities as flat screen tv's, tennis courts, jacuzzis and sorts but it makes up for it by being charming, romantic and being well taken care of. The house itself is as beautiful as it gets and gives you a 'home' feeling right from the start. You are welcomed by the manager herself and she takes care of your every need. If there is anything just let her know and she will find a way to wirl it out for you. Sort of like a good spirit. The girls are really nice as well and take good care of the facilities. The rooms are very well maintained and will be cleaned up twice daily. The food is (compared to malaysian standards) a bit pricey (but compared to western standards still ok) but soooo worth it! We can barely remember having had better asian food than the local Bidayuh cuisine. True, there isn't much you can do or explore around the village house but if you plan on a relaxing couple of days by the pool, maybe read a book then this is the place to go. My husband still claims its 'the best hotel/b&b i've ever stayed at'. We simply loved it!!

Mathis Retreat: "Loved it!!!"

Everything is simply amazing! can visit again and again. Swimming pools was the best part.May be menu for veg can be increased in restaurant. Otherwise no complaints. Shuttle service to ubud marked is a plus.

Muang La Lodge: "So glad we chose to stay here"

"When we were looking for a place to get away from the standard visitor locations in South east Asia, this resort was proposed as an option. One of the best decisions we made on the holiday. It takes some effort to get there but it really is worth it. It is such a tranquil location, by the river with great settings for meals, the pool on the island. The rooms are excellent and the service from the staff first rate. They truly aim to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. Language is a barrier at times but we were more than ok with this as given it's location this type of resort must, as it does, put a lot back to the community. The food was of a high standard and the 5 course tasting menu for dinner really suited us. High quality food and allowing you to try dishes we wouldn't normally try. What probably added the extra touch for us though were the day trip options provided. If you enjoy walking and want to see how village life in this part of Laos is, then this is perfect. With a local guide we learned so much about the culture and were able to very naturally engage with people in the villages. Relaxing in the resort after each day made for a great balance. Muang La was a real highlight of our holiday. I thoroughly recommend it. "

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Just Fantastic"

"My mum and I stayed here in the luxury tent and it was fantastic. I poked my nose in the more Safari style tent and it was too basic for me but other people seemed to enjoy the adventure. The luxury lodge was air conditioned, spacious, comfortable, ensuite, hot water etc... the lounge for pre and post dinner drinks was welcoming and friendly, the food was AMAZING and the chef will do a cooking demo if you ask. We saw six leopards over four drives, just delighted. We used the back gate of block one and also block five. Such a pleasant experience, not crowded and very successful. When we checked out they asked for feedback, I said a pool would be good - half joking! It's coming! But it's fantastic without anyway. Go go go! Stayed March 2017, traveled with family"
