The Cabochon Hotel: "Peace in the middle of the madness"

Review by: Sandy P | Source: Trip Advisor
"Stayed for 3 days recently and was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was considering its location a stones throw from the Sukhumvit Rd. The most impressive thing was the size of the room. We were in a corner room which is in fact 2 rooms so plenty of space for 2 people. The rooms at the back of the hotel are even quieter but ours on the 1st floor was dark despite there being plenty of Windows as it looked straight out onto some high bamboo which meant there was little natural light during the day. However on the 2nd we were able to move to the same size room on the opposite side which was perfect. The furnishings are comfortable and tasteful, the bed linens good quality and the shower had great water pressure. All things I look for in a hotel. The rooftop pool was a good place to escape in the afternoon when it was too hot to walk around. It was cooler on the roof than in the streets. The pool is a perfect size for lap swimming although a bit narrow for more than a couple of people. I was initially concerned that the buffet breakfast is served in the library/sitting room area with only arm chairs to sit in which makes it awkward for eating but there are a couple of tables outside which we managed to get each morning. We ate dinner in the restaurant on our first evening. It has an extensive menu and the kitchen with it's too chefs was visible so you knew you were getting everything freshly prepared. The staff are all extremely courteous and helpful and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates something a little different from the generic impersonal corporate hotels usually associated with cities."

Villa Song Saigon: "They know what we want"

Review by: smallhausen1 | Source: Trip Advisor
I had only one night to spend in the city so I was looking for a quiet place with good service. And thanks to ratings from of Tripadvisor's users I've made a really good choice. HCMC is a unique city and this is a unique accomodation located there. Balance of high level of service and respect to your privacy makes the difference. And in this hotel you will find exactly everything you may require in hotel. They simply really understand their guests' needs and wishes

Locavore: "Amazing artistic creative food"

Review by: Ron K | Source: Trip Advisor
"This was our fourth visit to Ubud just to again experience the wonders of Locavore. Their cocktails are wonderful, our California chardonnay was mind blowing, yet both faded into the background once we encountered 15 course of gastronomic delight. If you love amazing food and you visit Bali, don't miss the treat of lunch at Locavore, its world class"

Flower Island: "Perfect away from it all"

Review by: Evarich | Source: Trip Advisor
From the journey to the Island and everything during our stay to the time we had to leave was simply amazing. The fantastic approach by boat, the welcome, the staff, the food, the serenity, the views, snorkelling, canoeing, the beach, the bar, the rooms and the dog. We absolutely loved the whole experience. No TV, WiFi, unless at the reception, traffic, hustle and bustle. A most perfect few days of sheer basic bliss in simple true rustic charm. Total chill out. We will be back, for longer next time!

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Beautiful, cared for property"

Review by: huntforgoodtimes | Source: Trip Advisor
What a beautiful mansion and a fantastic guide. There are 3 tours a day (11am, 2:30pm and 3:30pm), which means the tour is busy (the only way to see the mansion) but also the guide knows exactly what she's talking about and is fantastic! Our guide, Pat, was super informative and also a lot of fun. It was also fantastic to see all the photos of the restoration work which they took great care over. Definitely worth a visit!

Mathis Retreat: "Peaceful and charming"

Review by: ChristyBrokenHill | Source: Trip Advisor
We treated ourselves to a night here to escape the busy Ubud centre. It's gorgeous. The rice field views, the beautiful swimming pool and the elegant restaurant. The rooms are comfortable with a modern Balinese design. The owner spent time to introduce herself after breakfast and part some helpful knowledge. We hope to be back!

Tugu Malang: "So luxurious"

Review by: Carol W | Source: Trip Advisor
"Our group of five arrived at Hotel Tugu by train late in the afternoon. We were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff who assisted us to check in. While our luggage was taken to our room we enjoyed the complimentary afternoon tea. The hotel is like staying in a museum. Tours are available but we were short of time. We enjoyed dinner by the pool before going to bed. We were woken at 12.30am and set out on our adventure to see the sunrise on Mount Bromo. This is a spectacular sight and well worth the journey. Warm clothing is definitely required. Don't forget your camera. We returned early morning to the hotel and had a few hours of sleep. That night we booked dinner in the King's room which is absolutely magnificent with so much to look at and so much history. We felt like Royalty seated at the table as we ate our meal. The staff went out of their way to make it a very memorable occasion for us. Next morning, after breakfast by the pool, our stay sadly came to an end we left for the airport. This hotel was one of the best that we have stayed in. We will definitely return again as our stay wasn't long enough to see everything that Malang has to offer. "

Review by: KayeandDave | Source: Trip Advisor
"French Colonial Property (in District 2) overlooking the Saigon River .... immaculate ... superb !!! Everything about VILLA SONG was superb, including it's location ... so close to the city BUT far enough away, allowing you to fit into the groove of trendy District 2's ever-changing residential area) Friendly staff and very very helpful. Courtesy river transport to and from the city. Grounds magnificent. Pool sparkling. Rooms in keeping with French Colonial theme ... so relaxing ... rain or shine. Breakfast delicious and fine dining at restaurant ... superb. Anything they could do to help you enjoy your stay ... they did. Would go back in a heartbeat !!!!"
