Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Location, Location, Location"
We stayed at the Rakkojae Seoul, a traditional hanok style guest house in early October 2016 for 4 nights. Located between the eastern and western palaces in the Bukchon Village area of Seoul it really is perfectly located for visiting a part of Seoul that wasn't destroyed by the war. The neighborhood is interesting with many good restaurants and the guest house is old and charming. The Proprietor is helpful and welcoming. The Korean breakfast, served in our room, was excellent. My only caution for the traveler would be two things that the owners don't have much control over. First, Seoul has a problem with mosquitoes and since it was still quite warm in Seoul this fall, we battled very small mosquitoes in our room, despite very good screens. Could be we should have closed the shutters and turned on the A/C and we would have fared better. Additionally, keep in mind that this is a small establishment, so if others are jet lagged and forget it's 2 AM, you are probably going to be hearing your neighbors during the night. But, overall a great experience. And, when you think about it, if you want to stay in traditional housing, then you shouldn't be expecting it to feel like the Ritz Carleton. The Twelve Hotel: "Excellent!"
Everything was perfect ! we stayed 3 nights and would certainly recommend this establishment. The welcome after a long journey was very nice, and we were very well advised to visit the city. the hotel is decorated with taste, beautiful rooms, and is well located in a quiet and relaxing. After a day of sightseeing, you can relax at the pool. Breakfast is delicious and the cocktails served at the bar too! In short, excellent stay Thanks!Sanak Retreat Bali: "perfect for relaxing"
This retreat was so dreamy. The room is stunning, with the option to open up the whole room with sliding glass doors. Food was very good. We did the trek to a waterfall with Gusti ( our guide). He was so lovely, very smiley and friendly. He explained the local work and introduced us to the local people. We were delighted to have such a great tour guide. We also did a spa treatment, I have to say it was the best massage in Bali. This Retreat is surrounded by nature. It is so charming, I would recommend for light sleepers to bring ear plugs. The sound of frogs, birds and the river was very peaceful.Inle Princess Resort: "sejour de trois jours superbe"

"My wife and I first visited MER in 2013 (if interested, see my review dated July 9, 2013) and returned for our second visit in February of this year. Our observations: In the three years between visits, the fish life has continued to rebound in a remarkable fashion thanks to MER's No Take Zone and ranger patrols of that area. There is so much to see on every dive site. Brilliant colors abound, along with critters galore, sharks and mantas, too! Diving was the focus of our visit and we found the dive operation to be efficiently and expertly managed by Calvin and his support staff. The food was once again plentiful and delicious. A change since last time was the switch during lunchtime from buffet style to family style, where heaping plates of food were passed around each table. Great conversations were had daily when the guests came together at meal time. The grounds are clean and well maintained, the staff helpful and friendly, the spa services are varied and most satisfying and while my wife and I have traveled extensively around the globe, we found ourselves more relaxed on this trip than anywhere before. Marit and Andrew have a spectacular vision for this place and continue to look for ways to conserve and protect this beautiful part of the world, while allowing guests to come along for the ride. What a privilege for those who visit. We're already planning to return in 2018 and we can't wait to once again see the friends we've made at MER. Dave and Elaine"Locavore: "Best mark evet"
I tool a friend who lives in Bali here as a thank you for being a guide whiktin Bali. We are both foodies and have eaten meals at some good restaurants, i.e. Ramsay, rhodes, river cafe, boulud, tragebuches, blaue ente, vong, warning, mpw and I can state this was the best meal I have had in years. Save you pennies and go for the full tasting menu with accompanied drinks. Also I recommend lunch as then you can slowly see and recover in the early evening!!!Maison Polanka: "An oasis of calm"
Tranquil hotel in a tempest of tourism. Friendly and helpful staff made our stay a delight. Nearly forgot to mention the food which was cooked to perfection. Really sutle flavours, we just loved it. Pick the yellow room if you can.Flower Island: "A Great Place To Relax"
"I have been to Flower Island a few times and I am always ready to return. The people are very friendly and hospitable and the beaches are among the best I have been to. If you really want to get away from it all and pull up a recliner and read a book surrounded by endless views this is your place. Stayed October 2015, traveled as a couple"muang la: "Wonderful find"
"This amazing retreat is worth the 5 hour road trip from Luang Prabang. We only stayed 2 nights. Would loved to have stayed longer. The food is wonderful. The taster menu couldn't be better. All of the staff are warm and welcoming. Couldn't have hoped for more. "Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Back to the past"
