REVERIE SIAM: "Quality hotel in Pai"
"Beautiful hotel just outside the village of Pai. It felt like a true oasis in Northern Thailand. Every morning we were served the most amazing a la carte breakfast, delicious. There are two beautiful swimming pools where we relaxed the first day after the long scooter ride from Chiang Mai. Very low prices for food and cocktails, you would expect to pay a lot more in a 5 star hotel ike this. Only a short scooter ride to the village with many restaurants and bars. Here we discovered Northern Thailands, in our opinion most delicious dish: Khao Soi Gai. It can found in the main street where the night market is: two people are cooking on the street and they have a 'restaurant' behind them. They only prepair Pad Thai & Khao Soi Gai. Only 50B! Amazing. Please note that in the hotel only Western style food is served, no Thai food. If you want to relax a little also this is the perfect hotel to stay at in Pai. "tugu malang: "Quite charming and well worth a visit"
This is a lovely little bijou hotel, filled with Indonesian and Chinese antiques and art, conveniently situated right in the heart of the old town facing a pleasant open square. The architecture, like the rest of the hotel, is slightly idiosyncratic and charmingly individual, which differentiates it from the usual run-of-the-mill ‘international’ hotels. The staff in reception, housekeeping and the restaurant are exceptionally efficient and helpful in a relaxed, friendly way. The restaurant has a wide selection of cuisine – Indonesian, Chinese and international – which often spells trouble, because it is difficult to keep such a range of ingredients fresh. However everything we ate in a week-long stay was fresh, delicious and cooked to a every high standard. If you visit Malang, I would definitely recommend this as a most enjoyable place to stay. The Cabochon Hotel: "Exceptional hotel"
Beautiful hotel - lovely furnishings and stylish rooms. The staff were extremely helpful, spoke good English and upgraded us for free! Food also great - free breakfast was good (lots of choice) and the lunch we had was also delicious.David’s Kitchen: "Very few restaurants in the world that can hold a candle to David’s Kitchen"
"Firstly, I would like to start off by saying that this restaurant went above and beyond in terms of service and food quality. How do I know this? Well, besides my fiancee and I being big foodies having to try at least one fine dining restaurant in every new country & city we go to, I myself have been a cook/chef for over 15 years, working in an array of different styles of restaurants from chain restaurants, fast food, and pubs, to banquet halls, hipster bars, and fine dining; and with all my experience, as both a consumer and a producer, there are very few restaurants in the world that can hold a candle to David's Kitchen. Secondly, I will discuss the experience and service. When I booked us a table here I did so solely based on the reviews on this site. I had investigated the menu online and was excited to try some of the items. I went ahead and booked a reservation for Valentines Day (Feb 14) of 2017, and within an hour I received an email informing me that the regular menu would not be available for this particular day. She then forwarded me the set menu for Valentines Day. I didn't think much of it, as I am aware that some restaurants do this on special occasions and went ahead with the reservation and payed the deposit via PayPal to solidify the reservation; it was all very organized. On the day, we arrive at the front desk and are met by the owner shortly after we informed the host about our booking. He was extremely nice, speaking to us for a little while, offering to take a picture of us in front of the restaurant with my fiancee's phone, and then led us inside. The place was very spacious, well-lit, and a piano played softly in the background adding to the relaxing ambiance of the restaurant. We were led to our table, which had a greeting card with our names printed on it congratulating us for our anniversary and thanking us for dining with them on that particular day, it was very sweet. The food was delicious and extremely well cooked and seasoned, all delivered at a reasonable pace as to not bombard and overwhelm us. The waiters were very organized and didn't keep anyone waiting or got in each other's way. They were also right there to refill our wine and water when thy almost dipped to the level even an optimist would be pessimistic about. At the end of our meal David, the owner, even came over and spoke to us a while, which I greatly appreciate since it is not a common thing in the industry unless there is a problem or complaint. Thirdly, I will discuss the food we had and the quality. As I mentioned before, the regular menu was placed on hold for Valentines Day and a special menu was offered. On this menu were a series of appetizers consisting of an amuse-bouche, which was a tender and moist deep fried oyster resting in its shell, a large and perfectly cooked pan-seared scallop that was as smooth as butter with grilled veg and honey raisin sauce, Canadian lobster with fettuccine tossed in truffle cream with slices of black truffle, and finishing the appetizer selection off with a wild mushroom cream soup with croustillant girolle and white truffle foam before the sorbet, which served as a pallet cleanser before the entrees; of which I chose the roasted duck breast with oranges, mashed potatoes, and orange sauce. My fiancee had the braised Wagyu beef cheek in red wine with sauteed porcini and mashed potatoes. I remember her entree being very rich and tender, having a very heady aroma reflecting the weight of the bold flavors that hit your pallet. The duck I had was quite the opposite. It was very light and brightly flavored, which was a great counterbalance to the richness of the duck fat. The desserts were a chocolate Bailey mousse and a strawberry cheese cake, both of which were nice and light, a perfect end to a magnificent meal. A great dining experience for the both of us that we will never forget. we hope this restaurant continues to be successful because efforts like this should not go unnoticed. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like an amazing dining experience with friendly staff, a kind & humble owner, and great food. Like I stated previously, very few restaurants in the world that can hold a candle to David's Kitchen. You should go to find out why."Discover Muang La | Visit Laos | Luxury & Boutique Hotel: "Amazing"
This is the quite likely the best place I have ever stayed. The service and attention to detail was exceptional. This was our first time in Laos with friends and we felt we really got to see and do so much in the area on a four night stay. Any less than four nights would not give you enough time to appreciate the lodge. The visits to the local villages were fascinating. The food at Muang La was brilliant and even though it was much cooler mornings and evenings, fire pits were brought to our table so we were warm. A truly beautiful place and wonderful staff.Tugu Bali: "Good Service, feel Healing and Relax"
loved the embience of Hotel Tugu and around, enjoyed the facilities and the services very good, they always cleaned the rooms every time I went and got back with a clean room and fresh. all staff very nice and gracious, overall i like the hospitality.Slow Villas and Spa: "Luxe, calme et volupté =)"
This is a blissful, little get-away. The staff are sincerely helpful and very hospitable. I am always pleased when a resort is built around the nature which must have existed on the land before it came to be. Thus, it was lush and naturally becoming. The rooms are very comfortable, quaint with a surprisingly good attention on the little details. I highly recommend Maison Wat Kor.Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Superb experience of unequalled elegance and great company"
This time we decided to experience their sumptuous rice barge for an overnight stay sharing the two lux rooms with private decks with a delightful Norwegian couple we flew over with. Gliding through the tranquil secluded backwaters which was a world away from the clogged waterways of Lake Vermabad. It's a sense of the unexplploited here. We were transferred by car for a 10 minute ride. Our onboard chef, although referred to as cook, created a feast of delights and with our shared guests made dinner on on the roof deck a treasured memory.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion Logo Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Old Charm and stunning Mansion"
"Stayed there 3 nights at the Shantung room on Oct 1st. Was my second time staying there and seems quite an improvement compared to the 1st probably it was from a different management back then. Happy with the service upon checking in. Shiro at the desk was friendly. Glad that we had a early check-in and no hassle of waiting for our room to be ready. All the staff are polite from housekeeping lady to the wait staff for our breakfast, the lady at the bar & the security guard at the main door. I am amazed with the selection of ala carte breakfast menu and buffet spread with the price for the the room. Wish we had time to dine and experience Indigo in the future. "
