Yandabo Home: "Don’t just go for 1night"

Review by: grahamb56 | Source: Trip Advisor
Great hotel and an imaginative way to help regenerate the 2 local villages. The rooms are built to a very high standard, with filtered water at the taps, wet rooms and some of the largest beds I've experienced. Great food for dinner and breakfast...right by the river...you'll love it!

Glenburn Tea Estate: "A wonderful place"

Review by: Adrien F | Source: Trip Advisor
"On the journey down to Glenburn I was rather wishing we had just stayed in Darjeeling ...and then we arrived. From the moment we stepped out of the car I was smitten! There was a lovely warm welcome from Jemima and Glenburn itself is the most beautiful place, it feels straight from the pages of an upmarket magazine. The house is full of the most beautiful textiles and furnishings and the views are to die for. We had lunch under the pomelo tree - and what a treat to be able to eat salads after 3 weeks in India. The food is delicious, fresh and unusual and different at every meal. All the staff were lovely and Jemima organised everything seamlessly and with a smile. I would go back again in an instant. Stayed April 2017, traveled as a couple"

Satri House: "Charming and Excellent"

Review by: GeraldSingapore | Source: Trip Advisor
"I've not had such a great hotel experience in a long time, and considering at the pace i'd been travelling in the past 2 months to UK, Africa and Singapore, the staff at Satri house was a great respite in making me enjoy travelling again. I'm sure the magical town has its own charms too, but this great boutique really made the trip much more magical. The location is very good, although not smacked in the middle of the old town, you can get there by foot easily, with just a 10 minute stroll, or 2 minutes on the hotel's bicycle (traffic in Luang Prabang is so light, you'll fell safe even on the main roads). The building itself is a gorgeous colonial building and it's as if you've stepped back in time when you enter the hotel through the corridor of bamboo tress in the walk way. My room was on the ground floor, and was charmingly appointed in a classical style with four poster bed that staff will drape over with the mosquito net during turn down. The bed was firm and comfortable, and there was a pillow menu available too. In room, there were plenty of bottled mineral water to let you stay hydrated. i also like the lack of a TV in the room so you have no choice but to linger in the amazing lawn or pool side, or explore the town. The bathroom has a nice rain shower and another hand held shower faucet, and is spacious. Everywhere you walk on this property, staffs will smile and ask how your day is. Even the property manager, is constantly seen moving around, chatting and talking to guests. One afternoon, I was walking and saw him form a distance - he immediately ended his call on his cell while i was still 50 meters away and greeted me when I approached. It's this little touched that makes one feel so valued as a guest. When I checked in, the staff was so eager to tell me the sights I should visit and offered to help me plan a day trip to the waterfalls, which I had given up trying to go prior to my arrival as it seemed so far, and had it not been the help and information offered, I'd be so sad to pass the trip to witness the amazing falls. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone as it's a great place to stay in Luang Prabang!"

Flower Island: "Gorgeous, stylish resort with a strong personal touch"

Review by: amberthed0g | Source: Trip Advisor
"Stayed three nights here last week, and had an unforgettable time. I think what sets this apart from some of the top end resorts is the personal touch and the tasteful, considered aesthetic. The cottages and restaurant are set back behind the palm trees so as not to create an imposing man made frontage. The use of natural objects like sea shells, bamboo and palms feels, along with the 'ethnic' decor somehow feels more inspired than the cliched attempts you usually see in these sorts of places. (....)the island does genuinely create a special sort of intimacy and calm. I really can not speak highly enough of this place."

David’s Kitchen: "Another beautiful evening"

Review by: bronwyn999 | Source: Trip Advisor
The service is spectacular. Table presentation perfect. They could have served anything and one would have been happy. However the food they served was good - very good. Oh - back in Hong Kong planning next trip

Misool Eco Resort: "We love Misool"

Review by: Carolyn H | Source: Trip Advisor
"This was our second trip to Misool - our first with our children in tow. Misool is a wonderful place with stunning diving and very good service. We were lucky enough to be upgraded from two water cottages for our family of five to the Utara villa, which is amazing (thank you!). There is nothing as captivating as watching baitfish launch themselves above the reef to escape predators or the bioluminescence that sparkles in the new moon of Misool. Our kids had wonderful snorkeling excursions - even our youngest (5 years old) saw mantis shrimp, sharks, sea turtles and sea snakes (required a bit of a boat ride - sea snakes require fresh water). The dive guides are wonderful. We especially love Kiikii (from our first trip), Nofi (snorkel guide) and Jemy (our dive guide this time). Uni got us advanced open certified and cannot thank her enough. I would encourage travelers to coordinate with on the ground staff to ensure your desires/hopes/dreams are understood. We had a few hiccups. we love the mission and vision of everyone at Misool. Highly recommend."
