Tugu Lombok: "Peaceful destination"

Review by: mpbq | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent a wonderful 10 days at Tugu Hotel. We had booked last minute and stayed in a large villa. The villa was nicely decorated and furnished. The villa had a large semi open bathroom and a 7 metre pool in a private garden. There were views across the lawn to the sea. The were 2 outdoor communal pools in the very large gardens fronting the sea. The gardens have been landscaped and there is a super collection of Indonesian artefacts including statues, temples and various other objects. The menu has both Indonesian traditional dishes and western, We ate Indonesian dishes the whole time. The cooking is first class. Breakfast is served all morning and comprises of both local dishes and healthy western options. We visited the spa on a number of occasions and left feeling very relaxed. All the staff were fantastic from the people who cleaned the villa, the gardeners, restaurant staff and management. They could never do enough to make the stay memorable. They were courteous, happy and always had a smile for you. It was a truly wonderful holiday and we look forward to returning soon."

Jing’s Residence: "Fantastic Hotel! Fantastic Service!"

Review by: JauntyFox | Source: Trip Advisor
"We decided to visit Pingyao based on Lonely Planet recommendations (Pingyao is famous as a walled city and well-known for its local goods). So glad we did! This hotel was the best during our China/HK holiday. It is an oasis in an otherwise dusty and remote location. The room and facilities is top notch although don't expect to watch TV as there is none except in the guest lounge. You won't miss it though as the hotel offers spa treatments; noodle making and paper cutting classes. We were able to relax in the guest lounge with complimentary afternoon tea. All tea and delicacies (we had eight bean treasure one day and a type of porridge the next) are locally produced and were delicious. The restaurant is great for both breakfast and dinner with a wide selection available. Loved the scrambled eggs Chinese style on a bed of steamed rice for breakfast. Personal service and attention from all the staff is second to none but especially from the resident manager, Imam, who is outstanding. He was always available to assist or ensure our needs were being met and popped up magically as we would pass through the lobby area. On our final morning of our stay he took us on a personal tour of a ruined courtyard giving us a tremendous insight into how the locals lived many years ago as well as escorting us to a local shoe manufacturer. We would definitely stay here again and the hotel and friendliness make this place worth the detour to Pingyao itself! "

Manukan Island Resort: "Paradise"

Review by: Jayne C | Source: Trip Advisor
We booked for one night as a last minute treat during our stay in Borneo. We were overwhelmed by what we got. We originally booked the cheapest double room, but when we arrived and was shown to our room, even though we were before the check in time, we were flabbergasted that we were given a beach villa over looking the private beach and sea. The room was luxurious, the staff were attentive and our over night stay was romantic. The only problem we encountered was the restaurant staff, who forget to bring us our drinks and the food wasn't that great. Over all a fabulous place for that romantic get away.

The River Resort: "Peaceful Retreat facing the Mekong"

Review by: Asiadvisor001 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Only 30mn from Pakse airport... right on the Mekong with a small island in the river in front of the resort. Huge land with trees, their own rice fields and gardens all around. It's a refill of oxygen to stay there. Excellent staff and friendly service under the supervision of Ton, the GM. I recommend to wake up early and admire the sunrise on the mekong from your balcony. Great restaurant also, with very generous portions Definitely recommended for people looking for a quiet and green environment and who enjoying activities in nature: walks, bike, boat trips..."

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Very educational and interesting"

Review by: tackhoongcheong | Source: Trip Advisor
"Joined one of three conducted tours of the mansion available. The guide, Ben is simply the best I have ever come across. He speaks very well. Very informative and interesting background stories relating to the life of Cheong Fatt Tze and the life of others living in this mansion before it becomes what it is today. Worth every second of the two hours spent there. Could have been even better if more artifacts of the early days are on display. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Luxury on a remote jungle river"

Review by: kandrmitch | Source: Trip Advisor
"A four hour drive from Phnom Penh then a 25 minute boat journey brings you to a beautiful floating hotel on the Tatai River. Our first glimpse made us all go ""ahhhhh!"" The 5 star tents on pontoons are anchored on pristine waters alongside palm fringed jungle and it was everything we hoped it would be. Evenings on our private deck were stunning, diving into clean cool water from our own spot and even a visit from a few fireflies one night as we sat outside was a magical experience! The staff are fantastic as are the tour guides. We had a sunset cruise, jungle trekking (with an ex-poacher who now uses his skills guiding tourists) and a visit to the small village on the island across the river with one of the staff who lives there, to see village life up close. Beautiful meals, attentive service by every member of staff. Definitely worth the trip to unwind in tropical luxury"

Rachamankha: "Wonderful architecture and good service"

Review by: khunvarit | Source: Trip Advisor
Been there only for dinner as tried to book but room were full. Excellent service in the restaurant. Staff were very attentive but some need to learn more product knowledge. I really like the Thai Chinese mixed with contemporary northern interior design as I already fall in love with this place and promised to visit once again as a hotel guest.

The Twelve Hotel: "A confidential charming place to discove"

Review by: dimolesgo | Source: Trip Advisor
Go there with confidence .... then can want them big! Doing so may miss the beauty of the place because everything is enjoyable to watch. This cozy and quiet hotel, with human size, deploys nice rooms and excellent taste: no false notes in decoration, nice furniture, nice touches for guests a warm and professional welcome, vast spaces that invite to relax before and / or after a day in the hectic Bangkok. It feels like home, only better because we have nothing else to do but enjoy! Breakfast is a delight (French pastries, etc.), the cleanliness is impeccable. Athy and Sébastien are good advice, in addition to being charming. Thanks to them, we could do many things with ease: many desires and 2 days with 2 children in this huge city. This peaceful place is very well located, quiet. We easily reached the sights, the BTS and the airport. On foot, there you need to eat, drink, etc ... the hotel tells us properly (explanations, plans, councils). We will return without hesitation, longer this time .. .for other chocolate croissants. A Family Reunion conquered

The Village House: "Relaxing and Beautiful, Great Food and Friendly Staff"

Review by: Janice A | Source: Trip Advisor
Our experience at Village House was excellent. The guesthouse has been carefully planned and attention paid to every detail. It is very beautiful and comfortable. The food here was way above expectations - delicious and fresh and a great mix of local as well as western food. Surprisingly they had a very good selection of wines. We did try the Pina Colodas by Miss Flora (we had read about them on Trip Advisor) and yes, she does a great job! But the highlight of the trip was the sweet and accomodating staff. They did everything possible to make our stay as relaxing and stress free as possible. My family and I would like to thank them all. You should not miss the chance to stay at Village House!

Yandabo Home: "A special place"

Review by: FrancesAndLee | Source: Trip Advisor
"Having enjoyed our river cruise from Bagan, we were whisked by a small boat to arrive at Yandabo Home and a warm greeting from the staff group. A real achievement to create this boutique hotel here, off the beaten track. Simple bedroom with a high quality bathroom and products and food well presented. Friendly staff took us to visit the local villages with tea and biscuits on the way on the boat back a nice touch. Thanks to all the team. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"
