The Island Lodge: "Beautiful stay in MeKong"
"We were picked up in Saigon and driven for about 2 hours to this hotel. It was an amazingly beautiful spot to spend 2 days and relax and explore. Husband had a wonderful massage and the pool and lobby areas were gorgeous. The whole setting is very ""Indochine"" and so well done. The staff was very attentive and tried to help with all we could ask -- The breakfast which was included was delicious and we also had dinner there as there was no where else near by to go easily. We walked around near the hotel--but it is not near any other things that are places to see. We did do their bike/boat tour to Ben Tre which was wonderful. Our guide--from the hotel--was so nice and we took a boat to Ben Tre--then biked all over the island--stopping to see different fruits, ect... and visiting pagodas and locals on the way. Ben Tre is so nice, shaded and easy to navigate with the guide. We loved this place and the owner and staff were very hospitable! Room Tip: we had gorgeous room with balcony overlooking the pool and river"Heritage Suites Hotel: "Beautiful and serene."
We were recommended to this Hotel by a friend who has lived in Cambodia for may years and has come to know and appreciate the subtlety that Khmer heritage holds ... this property embodies the essence of that subtlety. Form our transfer pickup in veteran Mercedes saloons to the welcome and registration process, everything was luxurious and effortless; the Suite we stayed in was absolutely glorious, sort of neo-Khmer classical without being ostentatious, and extremely well-appointed. The staff were attentive to all our needs and went out of their way to make our stay both relaxing and interesting; the poolside bar staff were always ready with an ever-available cold drink and recommendations as to which of the delicacies were best with which accompaniments. Similarly, the Restaurant staff were knowledgeable about the history of the dishes and were happy to recommend daily specials. The on-site Boutique and Travel Consultants also were a pleasure to deal with.Tugu Lombok: "Paradise!"
Where do I start?! Our greeting on arrival was kind and sincere. We had a tour of the complex by the manager, who pointed out everything you needed to know. While unpacking, we received fresh coconut water which we could see being chopped down just outside our bungalow. The rooms were lovely, with a grand outdoor bathtub and a large open shower. The grounds were stunning, and everyone who worked there were incredibly friendly. The hotel has two beautiful pools, it's right on the beach and they do private day tours to the Gili islands which I would highly recommend. The breakfasts are to die for, and a good hour every morning was spent enjoying and trying everything on the menu (over the 4 days of course) which was no mean feat as the menu was huge and catered for everyone. There is also a gym which you can create a decent work out in. We enjoyed an amazing couples massage by the beach, followed by champagne and dinner under the stars. It was a truly unforgettable experience and I would really love to return one day. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff for making our stay!MAISONS WAT KOR: "Paradisiac"
"A warm and friendly hotel where you feel good, I occupied a room during a couple of days, the room was spacious and comfortable, the gardens were just amazing and the staff was smiling and thoughtful. I warmly recommend The Maisons Wat Kor "Tugu Bali: "So Relaxing! Right by the beach!"
I loved the ambiance of this place. You feel relaxed the moment you enter. I love how they do a daily coffee and tea with traditional Balinese cakes. The rooms are amazing! You get your own private pool along with a stunning outdoor bathroom. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a romantic getaway.NOEL RODRIGO’S LEOPARD SAFARIS: "Fantastic Safari experience, good for the whole family or couples"
"This past Feb my wife and I wanted to do something different as we have traveled to many places in Asia. This past year we decided to go to Sri Lanka and with the guidance of famous travel writer Cynthia Rosenfeld, a safari was arranged for us at Noel Rodrigos Leopard Safaris. We camped off the grid in the jungle. Great accomodations with A/C although I do understand they hv al fresco tents as well. Food was really great and a great introduction to Sri Lankan cuisine. the staff was wonderful and very attentive. From early morning Safaris, to early evening happy hour and dinner. under the stars i cant say enough of what a great new experience we had. We felt it was a personal guided tour just all to ourselves. The privacy and service was just wonderful and we greatly enjoyed being with a more exclusive outfit/. It was a special experience for us and we'd like to plan a return trip w/ our children as it was most educational with the guides pointing out the smallest details of all the wildlife. From Leopards to peacocks they have it all. dont miss this lifetime opportunity for the a real deal safari. The whole staff from making the booking arrangments to departure travel and all in between was truely a world class experience. "SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Perfect harmony"
My experience in Seeds was living art; the design of the restaurant, the drinks and the food presentation are nicely put together. The combination is a master piece in perfect harmony. Thank you Lucia and Felix for creating a beautiful experience.MesaStila: "One night stay, beautiful srroundings, will return"
"The resort is set in beautifully landscaped grounds with views of volcanoes in every direction. They also have a small coffee plantation onsite and the coffee itself is only available in the hotel. Rooms were huge and nicely fitted out. Would loved to have stayed longer, but was following a tight itinerary through central and eastern Java. Will return for sure. "MesaStila: "Colonial-era dream"
This place is probably the most beautiful original place where we stayed in Indonesia. The location is just wonderful, surrounded by volcanoes and the forest, the villages around are also nice and authentic. We were based here while visiting the temples in central Java and although you need a car it's so worth it! We had booked one of their plantation villas but they upgraded us to a bigger room which was basically a house with a wonderful wooden terrace overlooking the jungle. The decor is simply amazing, it includes some antiques and follow the traditional Java style. The whole complex has been carefully renovated so that it maintains its Colonial era character and it truly does. We also had a nice walk in their coffee plantation and enjoyed the restaurant. The spa is really something else, not cheap but absolute luxury, definitely worth trying! We also found the service outstanding in every aspect, including room service. Wi-fi was also working well in the room.
