Satri House: "Exquisite experience!"
"Satri House was especially memorable stay for us thanks to GT, Julie, and team. Also, GT sent us the jam as he mentioned in the post! The extra 10 miles they went is absolutely touching. Thank you for the above and beyond experience. Satri House will always have a place in our heart. I am planning to cook me some GT pasta tomorrow!"MesaStila: "Colonial-era dream"
This place is probably the most beautiful original place where we stayed in Indonesia. The location is just wonderful, surrounded by volcanoes and the forest, the villages around are also nice and authentic. We were based here while visiting the temples in central Java and although you need a car it's so worth it! We had booked one of their plantation villas but they upgraded us to a bigger room which was basically a house with a wonderful wooden terrace overlooking the jungle. The decor is simply amazing, it includes some antiques and follow the traditional Java style. The whole complex has been carefully renovated so that it maintains its Colonial era character and it truly does. We also had a nice walk in their coffee plantation and enjoyed the restaurant. The spa is really something else, not cheap but absolute luxury, definitely worth trying! We also found the service outstanding in every aspect, including room service. Wi-fi was also working well in the room.Inle Princess Resort: "Like being in a fairytale"
"We got here by taxi from the airport, in which case the first impression wasn't very good as we arrived in what would be the loading Bay Area. The other way would be to get taxi to the lake and then finish the last leg of the journey by boat. It's an hour away by car and if you negotiate your return you can bring it down to 35,000 going and same back. If you book from the hotel it's about double the price. Once we were taken to reception we forgot our first impression - we were given a nice cold towel, some ice tea and all our bags were taken away from us. We were shown to our 'rooms' - they are huge, with a sofa area a free standing bath and an outside shower. we stayed in a garden view - so we had a porch with deck chairs overlooking a big water lily pond. Mini bar was free and water and fruit was replenished twice a day. Our day trip on the lake was organised beautifully by the hotel - $43 for the boat - chairs on the boat were really comfortable, blankets, water and umbrellas all provided. We liked this place so much that we only got out for the day trip - the rest of the time we spent enjoying the pool and the porch in our rooms, the bar and the restaurant - which are all great. Tip - the mosquito curtain around the bed is there for a reason, without you'll be bitten all night. Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "What a great experience"
"I spend 3 nights at this beautiful Hanok and it was an amazing experience ! Rakkojae is in the hearth of Bukchon, in a very quiet alley. But still, its in the centre of Seoul, Anguk Subway Station is just 5 minutes away, and plenty of restaurants, sights, shops etc. are in easy walking distance (...) Dinner and breakfast are included, and are traditional and very tasty. You can also have a continental breakfast with toast and eggs if you prefer. Korean breakfast was with smoked fish (very tasty), abalone porridge (tasty, but a bit too excotic for me as a breakfast dish) and I was glad that on the third morning (I had continental breakfast on the second morning) there was a tasty soup instead of the porridge. The ladies who run Rakkojae are very friendly. I tried the Mud Sauna on the 3rd night and liked it a lot (so I wish I had tried it on the first night already). Overall, I loved it at Rakkojae, and can only recommend it. Its an amazing and beautiful place, that words can really describe. You have to go there and experience it yourself. And if you can, stay for at least 2 nights."Reverie Siam: "Amazing hotel"
"I don't recommend getting to Pai at night, at least not drive to there. In the night it is a bit hard to find and the hotel couldn't be found on the car navi. Other then that it was a very welcome very cosy hotel. Our room was a bit far and you can get a bit lost there but it is a part of the place magic. It reminded me a bit like Alice in wonderland with all the bushes. The room was great and clean, the ride to the city was very comfortable for those who don't have bikes there."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Such an amazing resort !!! In my heart forever"
"Travelling with my husband and friends, my aim was to go to Koh kong island, and I only have chosen the 4 Rivers Lodge to be a good location to reach the island. But when we discovered the island was too far away, we decided to remain in the resort for 3 days. After my disappointment of not going to Koh Kong island, I can say that I spent there one of the best vacations of my life !!! How calm it is ! You feel so cool, you only listen to birds, and the river noise.... The bedroom is fantastic... The visit to the Tatai waterfalls is so great, and the cayac ride around the island in front of the lodge is very fun... A specific award to Luce, the office manager, who was so nice with us... I really appreciated her kindness, so seldom nowadays.... When we left, I felt so bad... I would have liked to stay more.... Don't hesitate to choose this lodge, you will never regret it."Mrauk U Princess Resort: "un endroit magnifique"
"Nous sommes arrivés par bateau dans cet hôtel. Les bungalows sont éparpillés dans un environnement luxuriant. Chambre très agréable, décoration chaude. Joli restaurant de très bonne qualité à prix doux. Personnels très gentils et serviables. Anglais très approximatif ! Stayed December 2016, traveled as a couple"SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Amazing food and service"
We went for our anniversary and were treated amazingly. In addition to the fabulous food we ordered several additional special treats were brought out to our table. Wonderful experience and beautiful quiet setting.Jing’s Residence: "Superb accommodation, sensational food and Imam is the best!"
"Jing's Residence is sensational in every respect. Imam who is the resident manager is a wonderful fellow who greets you in a personal and intimate manner every time you see him.....he makes you think that you are the only person/people staying there and he is there just for you.....and yes he also possesses a great sense of humour. Upon check in you are provided with all the information that you need and are served a cool ginger tea with dates.....what a great way to be welcomed. Nothing is too much for him or his team! Breakfast was scrumptious with their cappuccino nice and hot. Dinner was 1st class, we chose two dishes with rice and the duck with seasonal fruit (duck is my favourite) was actually bettered by the chicken with preserved ginger. We finished up with their handmade apple turnover which is a house delicacy and was outrageously good! The afternoon tea ceremony is not to be missed, it's served upstairs in the lounge area and the little tray of delicacies that are served with your choice of tea were yummy. Dates, bananas, apricots, a free mini bar with chocolate, soft drinks, beer, orange juice that was replenished everyday and the toiletries provided are a nice touch. The little gift left the night before was a surprise and then the addition of red Chinese tags on your luggage is a good reminder of your visit to this beautiful restored courtyard property. We had Imam and three of the team come out and wave us goodbye.....sigh I will miss staying there, it's a long way from Australia to China for a long weekend! https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g325575-d1536016-r376919666-Jing_s_Residence-Pingyao_County_Shanxi.html#"4 rivers: "Unique Experience"
"Had a really amazing and unique stay in this floating hotel. The hotel is a 30 minute boat ride from the road and so is very isolated and with only 12 Tents for guests it is very peaceful. A place to slow down and contemplate the quieter life. "
