The Governor’s House: "Truely boutique Hotel experience…!"

Review by: Luc N | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Stayed again at the Governor's House in Phnom Penh. Always a pleasurable experience, the welcoming atmosphere, friendliness of the staff, very human scale of the hotel, and above all unparallelled taste with which it has been decorated..Have a drink and a talk at the lobby bar, and feel slipping back in time to yesteryear... Will keep coming back."

jing: "Why did we stay only one night?"

Review by: jcrane66 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Actually, the answer to the question in the title of this review is that we didn't have more time to spend on holiday. Our greatest mistake was not having two nights at this lovely hotel. Imam at reception was kind and welcoming. He made us feel right at home. The room was gorgeous and the courtyards of the hotel are lovely. The hotel is so quiet - it was the best night sleep we had the whole holiday! The breakfast was off a menu and the choices were both Chinese and Western. And both of our choices were delicious. We also decided to eat dinner at the hotel. It was ""upscale"" pricewise, but the food was excellent and well presented. We also were able to try some of the local dishes which we would have missed out on if we were just wandering the streets. We would recommend this hotel to anyone - and we hope that one day we will find ourselves back in the Jing Residence.... "

The Governor’s House: "Governor’s House is the only place I ever stay in PP"

Review by: zattinho | Source: tripadvisor.com
Not only is this boutique property stunning as a hotel, it checks off so many boxes as well. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, the food is exceptional and if you are looking to treat yourself, the owner's wine collection is world-class.  I visit Phnom Penh every few months and this is the only place I stay at. My hotel allowance is twice that of what I pay at the Governor's House and I have absolutely no interest in staying with one of the other big name hotel's in the city. This place is a gem!

David’s Kitchen: "Wine tasting and apps to match each"

Review by: Dave M | Source: Trip Advisor
Absolutely fabulous!!!!! All the wines were great and the finger food, yum yum. Lamb lollipops, scallops, shrimp and pork. All terrific. The tasting cost 900 tb per person and well worth it. We're going back and have checked out the menu and have picked a 7 course tasting. We figure without wine it will cost 4,000-4,500 tb. Very expensive but we hope worth it. Well deserved reputation, we'll let you know if it's worth the cash. Bon Appetite!

Manukan Island Resort: "Wedding anniversary"

Review by: scratchglos | Source: Trip Advisor
Stayed here for four nights in July for our wedding anniversary. Oh my life, it was superb. Getting off the boat is slightly daunting as 100s of day trippers use the island. We went left and we taken to the office given a cool drink and a warm welcome. Our accommodation was breath taking. Up in the hill side, villa 16. Views from the balcony , breathtaking. Inside, large living room, bedroom and very large bathroom with usual array of toiletries. The small kitchen area and fridge, where free water and Coke are provided daily. Beach towels are changed daily. Wifi is good. The food in the restaurant in the evening is ok, although not much choice to be honest. Beer is expensive, we took our own. Breakfast provides lots of choice. We had booked the cabana for our anniversary evening, but due to a double booking we were unable to have it. This was no great loss as the cabana was on a bit of scrub land with no access to the sea. Certainly not worth the money it would have cost. We had an enjoyable evening in the main restaurant being entertained by three amazing musicians who seemed to know every song in lots of languages, they were brilliant. Special mention to chef faridy who makes amazing pasta, waiting staff Chelsea, Jacqueline, Sabray and roger the boss. We would definitely recommend here, its paradise.

Tugu Bali: "Didn’t Want to Leave"

Review by: WanderingRedheadCher | Source: Trip Advisor
From the second I arrived I knew this would be a special experience. The greeting was first class. Our room was one of the Dedari Suites and couldn't have been nicer. The attention to detail is impressive. I loved all the thoughtful decorative touches that were so very Balinese. The bed was huge and comfy. I loved the partially outdoor bathroom and the lemongrass scented products, so beautifully displayed. The customer service was impeccable. The staff were all wonderful and helpful. The food was outstanding, especially the breakfasts, which were served anytime and anywhere. The property itself is stunning and right on the beach in a prime location in Canggu. The hotel is practically a museum and is fun to wander through. I spent 4 nights here and would definitely come back. This is one of the most memorable hotel stays I ever had!

The Cabochon Hotel: "Beautiful hotel"

Review by: Emma D | Source: Trip Advisor
This is a beautiful, well-maintained, and unique property that really felt like an oasis in the midst of busy Bangkok (but still with easy access to the rest of the city). We stayed in a balcony suite, and it was one of our favorite hotel experiences - we're still talking about the thoughtful design touches throughout the property and how magical the experience felt. Thoroughly modern, but completely evocative of a bygone era - a very cool hotel.

Tugu Bali: "Loved this hotel!"

Review by: Shmoopy_12 | Source: Trip Advisor
"For the record , this is the first time I've ever given a 5 star rating ! This hotel was awesome! Especially the staff . So welcoming and friendly. When we first arrived , the Assistant Manager , Ari greeted us with a welcome beverage and introduction to the hotel . There was a dinner show going on at the time in the lobby so we're able to watch while we waiting for our room to be ready . When we were walking to our room , it was like being in a garden temple , so much culture and greenery and art work , it was like a museum Of Bali culture and art. Nice walkways , bridges , areas to have romantic dinners , etc and close to the beach . I can't say enough about the room! Our own pool! How unexpected! And an out door swing and outdoor bathroom with a fish pond surrounding it. So serene. It was off-season so the hotel is very quiet , no parties or loud music which we loved. They also have a lovely pool area, afternoon tea, cooking lessons, and great restaurants . Our favourite was the outdoor barbecue restaurant overlooking the surf where we had the most perfect view of the sunset . I would definitely highly recommend this hotel , loved it, thank you ."

Rachamankha: "Wonderful stay in this unique and beautiful hidden gem of a hotel!"

Review by: 27_Bear | Source: Trip Advisor
"We arrived at Chiang Mai airport really early after a very long journey. We were collected by the hotel staff at the airport and swiftly driven to the hotel. We were given an early check in, which was a lovely gesture, especially after such a long journey! We had booked a deluxe room, which comes with a lovely four poster bed. The room is beautifully decorated, has wifi and air conditioning and all the amenities you might require. Very comfortable bed and a quiet part of Chiang Mai. The hotel is very beautiful and based on the old Lana style of architecture, it consists of a series of interlinking courtyards, the whole hotel is very quiet and peaceful and a wonderful retreat away from it all. It really feels like you are stepping back in time when you stay at this hotel. Breakfast at the hotel is very nice, staff prepare you freshly pressed fruit juice, there is a nice menu with a good variety of eggs, pancakes, waffles and omelettes. The restaurant has an indoor portion and a beautiful peaceful outdoor courtyard, you can chose to sit in either of these areas. We had dinner here on one evening and the food was very good. The swimming pool is beautiful and very peaceful, you don't really hear the hustle and bustle of the city and you'd almost forget that your in Chiang Mai! Staff are wonderfully helpful, kind and unobtrusive! My only negative comment is that I had a glass of wine and it was a bit overpriced compared to the rest of the prices I experienced in Thailand for wine, in saying that it was a perfectly nice glass of wine and I wouldn't let that put you off. This hotel is a gem of a hotel and I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Chiang Mai!"
