Maison Polanka: "Even better than advertised!"
"To have seen the gorgeous pictures on their website and read the lovely descriptions, one might say “not possible”, but somehow, Maison Polanka manages to exceed one’s expectations --greatly! Our group stayed in the Khmer House and Green Room. Both are spacious and full of character, with an impeccable and sophisticated mix of contemporary and traditional decorations. But rest assured that here style does not come at the expense of guests’ comfort: Extremely comfortable beds; powerful and responsive AC; inviting bathrooms with walk-in showers; indulgent bed and bath linens and amenities; everything spotlessly clean; etc. (...) Service was extraordinarily attentive. At Maison Polanka, our needs and wants were not simply met, they were anticipated. A few examples of the innumerable gestures of hospitality and warmth extended to our group by Cathy and every one of the staff at Maison Polanka : Throughout our four-day stay (amidst the steamy and broiling heat of September ...), every single time we came back to the hotel, no sooner did we walk through the gate when we would be met with chilled towels and a smile; our group was eternally grateful for the abundant supply of chilled towels (with menthol) and bottled water that Maison Polanka so thoughtfully sent with our touring van; knowing our tight schedules, Cathy and Harold worked tirelessly and thoughtfully (and even with last-minute revisions) to be sure that our tours and shopping excursions met our interests; Cathy knew our flight details better than we, and she and Harold were the ones who kept checking with our airline for the most accurate updates while we shamefully lounged around; the yogurt at breakfast was so good, I offered a taste to a friend; within minutes, yogurt magically appeared on her tray. By the way, there is a great deal of talents in the kitchen at Maison Polanka where the preparations reflected a preference for refined nuances and where the presentation was visually stunning : We fell in love with Cambodian cuisine here (...) To the owners of Maison Polanka and to everyone of their amazing staff: thank you for creating for your guests this haven in Siem Reap!"Cuisine Wat Damnak: "New Year Eve treat"
We loved our meal on new years eve. Great value for 6 courses of quality food, particularly loved the Amuse Bouche. Staff were very nice and the chef visited each table. Made the evening special.CABOCHON: "Counting the days until I can go back"
"If you're reading through these reviews then I think you have already made up your mind to stay here. And you are making the right decision!! This has to be the best little boutique hotel to stay in Bangkok. The service is 5 star and the decor of the hotel makes you want to fully unpack and call it your new home. When I go back, I will make sure I stay a whole week. 2 nights was so short that I almost cried leaving. Do not miss the restaurant! I wish we had had more than one dinner there. Absolutely amazing and smaller plates so you can try a lot! Thank you Cabochon! Cheers to the next gin and tonic on the secret garden on the garage rooftop! "Pindaya Farm House: "Warmly Welcomed"
We so much enjoyed our time at Thahara Pindaya that we considered extending our stay and cancelling our trip to Mrauk U! We loved Pindaya and this farm house stay was a big influence on the overall experience. As strange as this might sound, staying at Thahara was a memorable highlight of our second visit to Myanmar. Conversations with hosts Aye Aye and Ko Yangon provided deeper insights to the community we would have otherwise missed. All reasonable requests can be satisfied by the hosts and their extended network of family and friends. The accommodations are well appointed, and the meals are out of this world.Cuisine Wat Damnak: "5 star gourmet experience"
"This restaurant is listed as one of the top 50 Restaurants in Asia, and deservedly so. There are 2 menus per night available in 5 or 6 course variants. I went twice, on my first night in Siem Reap, and then again on my last night in Siem Reap. 6 courses each time and I would not hesitate to go back if I am in Siem Reap again. The menu is updated every 2 weeks. Delicious food but the surprise is the price. 28USD for 6 courses, and you do not leave hungry. The chef greets you at the end of your meal; a lovely touch."David’s Kitchen: "Perfect dinner in Chiangmai"
The food was amazing! I️ had the duck and it was cooked perfectly. David was so friendly and he even recommended some restaurants to us in Phuket. This is a first class restaurant!Inle Princess Resort: "Amazing stay"
"The location is great, the staff is amazing, the rooms are beautiful and the food delicious. We booked a boat trip with a very good driver that although he didn't speak much English, he tailored our trip to avoid those ""shopping houses"" were you feel obliged to buy something. In concluison, Worth the money is you spend!!"Inle Princess Resort: "Paradise in the middle of another paradise."
"The hotel lays on the lake, and you need to get there by boat. The trip is so relaxing you starting getting into the rythm. The last part of the trip, has to be done rowing, they do not allow the noise of the boat motors bother their customers. It is just incredible. They preserve the customer rest and we even got a note from the direction apologizing because a monastery nearby had night prayers due to some festivity. The room we got was facing the lake directly. We woke up in the morning with the amazing views, and even some ducks feeding right below us. We enjoyed the best sunsets and dawns from our room porch. We visited in December, one of the coldest months there (around 18-20 ºC) but we got the option to light our chimney (yes we had one) and warm up there. The restaurant was spacious and the food amazing. They service was super educated, we got a waiter very young that clearly was being trained and we could only praise the teacher and the pupil. We did not fully use the rest of installations, but we really enjoyed our stay. I would come back if I could."Supanniga Eating Room: "Great Food & Dining Atmosphere"
I can't recommend Supaniga Eating Room highly enough to justify the gastronomic experience we had there. If you're staying in the Sukhumvit area, you can do only justice to your stay in Bangkok and if you make an advance booking for dinner at Supaniga Eating Room in Thonglor.Hotel Tugu Bali: "A little slice of tranquility!"
Tugu was everything I expected plus more! If you are looking for an authentic Bali experience with its old world feel and amazing friendly service and care than look no further. The hotel is also located in the very hip Canguu area and is a hop step and a jump from the beach. You have everything here from an amazing spa, serene pool (which we had to ourselves) and a rooftop bar and restaurant. We will be back for sure!
