Each dish had a story of its own. Presentation was on-point and taste was amazing. Great

Maison Polanka: "An Oasis in Siem Reap"

Review by: Pamsie55 | Source: Trip Advisor
Maison Polanka is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. It is in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap but provides the most idyllic surroundings to escape to, after a full day in nearby Angkor Wat which is no more than 20 mins away. The staff are polite and efficient and have the ability to be on hand when needed, but always in the background. The food is first class and the beautiful outdoor dining area is surrounded by lush gardens and a pool and sun area. The rooms are well equipped, quiet , with good showers, and have good WiFi. As there are only 5 in total Maison Polanka has an intimate and warm feeling at all levels. The rooms each have their own large, private balcony with lounging furniture and ceiling fans that overlook the grounds. Don't be put off by the approach but be excited about what lies behind the gates. Look out for the friendly pet bunny that lives in the gardens.

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Amazing hotel"

Review by: adammawright | Source: tripadvisor.com
We spent 3 nights here at the beginning of August and the whole experience was fantastic. The tents are incredible and I love the fact there are no TVs or ACs. The staff were excellent, and really went above and beyond. The location is stunning and we really enjoyed the trip to the waterfall and kayaking around. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat

Bassac Cruises: "A great experience"

Review by: Terry D | Source: Trip Advisor
Very vell organised trip on a relatively modern, but traditional boat. Excellent small cabins and super food (if too much). Village and floating market excursions very good. Great staff and the ever efficient guide 'An' organises you with military precision.

The Governor’s House: "Colonial Beauty"

Review by: upintheaira1 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"This stunning place is full of Art with a personal touch of all the staff. Especially the Reception guy in the morning (sorry i forgot his name) was of great help. Also chant at the bar was always taking care of us with great attention. The Food was outstanding just try the chocolate fondant. Can't wait to return when the outdoor restaurant will open. Great choice can't go wrong here..."

Satri House: "Beautiful, atmospheric gem"

Review by: worldtraveller055 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Love it. Love the library and cognac, love the decor, the food, the beds, the rooms, the cute spa, did I mention the decor (?) and the staff. It feels like you're visiting a (royal) friend and pottering around his (grand) house and just popping out to sample the languid charms of luang prabang when the mood strikes. I would come back just for the weekend for a rest and wander. Beautiful"

sukoon: "Amazing"

Review by: Sunitacapt | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Had a great time at Sukoon. Surpassed all our expectations. Superb service and great food. Staff is friendly and they really look after the guests. Highly recommended. We went as a family and it was very comfortable and luxurious. "

Locavore: "A wonderful experience."

Review by: Brad P | Source: Trip Advisor
"Fantastic fine dinning in the heart of Ubud. The seven courses plus matching drinks were excellent and delicious, as was the pre dinner 'snacks'. The highlights for me were 'into the sawah' and 'bubur sumsum'. The service was outstanding with each dish and drink fully explained by the waitress. My partner and I left full and very satisfied. The experience is not cheap by any means but certainly worth treating yourself when in Ubud or Bali."

The Tiger’s Eye: "The attention to detail and clear passion for food is impressive!"

Review by: Josie H | Source: Trip Advisor
After a day of bustling around Cambodia, sitting down to a long dinner with a friend at The Tigers Eye was just the sanctuary we needed. Not at all stuffy, but definitely an air of simple elegance. The staff are friendly and attentive and clearly are committed to the product that is coming to your table. The menu satisfies all range of happy consumers. This is one menu that certainly does not leave vegetarians as an after thought! The home made tofu and fresh egg noodle dish was sublime and a true indication of the love and pride Chef Tim has for the treats coming from his kitchen. My more carniverous partner in food, was equally as impressed with her confit duck curry. An indication of the scope of what is availble here.As for my dessert.... The much maligned jackfruit combined with other tropical fruit shines in this icecream combination with honey and subtle earthy (and so on trend) tumeric icecream and sticky rice donuts complete the dish perfectly. Very much looking forward to my return here!

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A truly fulfilling bucket list worthy destination that defines the future of sustainable tourism"

Review by: reviewsplus | Source: Trip Advisor
"4 rivers is a resort in Tatai, Koh Kong that floats in its entirity on a river! You will book this destination most likely because of the idylic overland pictures, but read some more about it and discover what hidden treasures lie around and near this location... Once we landed we met with our driver and were on our way to 4rivers. We were pleasantly surprised on our car journey when we made a stop at a picnic resort and were able to enjoy a fantastic lunch of fresh seafood. Upon reaching the starting point of the destination is the 4rivers riverside departure point. There we were greeted with an exceptionally warm and friendly welcome explaining the short boat journey ahead. The adventure begins! We were explained the history of the area and the significance of the river enroute and it's quite interesting to hear about. You will notice immediately that there is no pollution and the water is still and clear. 4rivers is a place where you will not care if you have a wifi/3g signal or not as you are immersed in nature and truly able to absorb your pristine surrounds. It is my sincere belief that 4rivers can be healing for your soul given its placement and eco concept that takes into account the 360 degree impact of what they do there. We learned that a few of the activities they have including treks are done by former poachers or hunters who now make an income from tourism by being guides. 4rivers links with a small island of inhabitants who also work with the resort. They have very interesting stories to tell about life on the river. You meet interesting local characters here and that is part of the charm. Arriving at 4 rivers is much like discovering a lost paradise at a distance on your motor boat as it putters along the incredibly still river surrounded by lush jungle. Again a warm welcome awaits at the pier by your hosts. We are given a welcome drink and a small debriefing about the resort and a tour of the room workings. What I would highly recommend is to plan your stay by your activities, as there is plenty to do here aside from taking an instant dip in the crisp cool river or a kayak workout around the nearby island. There is the waterfall cruise where you can see and bathe in one of the most beautiful waterfalls you will ever see up close and personal. There are also treks which are of various levels of challenge and duration - some of which include a meal with some locals at a village - these require some notice. The minimum stay recommended here is 2 nights although more nights are needed to fully appreciate the location. We left thinking we should have at least stayed 1 more night and planned for a trek or kayak session. The food at 4 rivers is nothing short of delicious - the set menu options are great as are the appetizers and a la carte items. The barman serves up great drinks which is an added bonus here. You can also talk to the guys and get something made if you like as they are very attentive. You do get to know the staff here quite well even over 2 nights which is special given all that they do for you to make your stay memorable. The tent-rooms at 4rivers are well appointed with fans to keep you cool and ample space to move and lounge around. The tent structures can be fully covered with curtains or opened up with mesh liners for better air circulation, which can also be opened up to really connect with your surrounds. Bugs are easily kept out of tents and that is a relief! They do have insect repellent on-site and its recommended to use this - especially if you go for seeing the fireflies. The barrel like standing bath enclosures, which are locally constructed, have to be some of the most unique I have encountered. Overall a very wholesome experience that binds you to nature coupled with exceptional service. We departed 4rivers with a solemn promise to return again and perhaps with some more company & for a longer stay."
