Yandabo Home: "A little luxury in a surprising location"
"Ok let's start at the beginning. Yandabo is a small village on the edge of the irrawaddy river. Its only recently got electricity and is home to a very traditional way of life with the local village making pottery by ways long forgotten by the western world! So if you come here expecting fine dining, satellite TV, tarred roads and modern communication you might be disappointed. The Yandabo is however very well equipped with fantastic rooms which surpasses most city rooms, with a cavernous bathroom and a bedroom that is simply luxurious. Comfort is without compromise. The service too is fantastic with staff available and enthusiastic to give you as much as they can.. Food is of a very high standard too. All in all the Yandabo has achieved a remarkable level of accommodation considering it's location and I would happily recommend anyone to stay here."Tugu Bali: "The Best Holiday Experience"
Amazing experience, location and service. Highly recommend for anyone looking to truly experience a relaxed and friendly environment. We were able to relax and rest in this amazing hotel! The staff offer exceptional service and have excellent attention to every detail, we will return and holiday here again. Thank you!Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Amazing food and service"
The chef was amazing, very personable and greeted all his guests. The food was amazing and we tried both menus. I have to follow a gluten free diet and the chef made sure that some elements were changed for me. However, saying that there was very little on the menu I couldn't eat. Very fresh tasting food and good value. The service was amazing and we had a very relaxed meal. Will definitely be visiting again,Rachamankha: "Secret Escape"
"I stayed at the Rachmankha last year and was very impressed. At the end of my stay we decided to enquire about booking the hotel to celebrate my partners birthday for November this year. Since then we have had a lot of email exchange with Wanida. She is always very accommodating and helpful and very quick in responding - we knew we were in good hands. Let me start with the cons of the hotel. It is not a brand new property and some hardware (especially bedroom and bathroom in superior rooms) could benefit from a renovation; the service by the pool could also be a problem sometimes due to language barrier. However those are the only improvement I could think of. The hotel is tucked away on the West side of the old town. It's so peaceful and quiet but you can also walk to any part of the old town easily. Being a small property it has a very intimate and cozy feel to it, and the public area is just stunning - beautiful pool, stunning public lounge and garden and great flower arrangement in the restaurant. Breakfast is a highlight. They had some simple buffet spread of juices, cold cut, bread, yoghurt and fruit, and you can order two items from the a la carte menu. It was a very relaxing experience to have breakfast in the sunny courtyard to start the day. We also had dinners at the hotel. Again the courtyard provides a great set up for a romantic evening thanks to the local Thai music (live instrument) and the decoration of the place. We host a celebration dinner at the courtyard. The team has put in a lot of efforts to make it a memorable evening. The pool area is always nice to spend your day, or just for a dip after a hot day in Chinag Mai or Elephant Nature Park. The hotel does not accept children so the place is quiet. Few of my friends had massages by the pool and they were all happy with the treatment. We were very happy we came back to this lovely hotel and in fact few of us are already planning for our next trip. I have stayed at so many hotels globally, but Rachmankha is just a special place."tugu lombok: "Too good… Tugu!"
We are travellers who enjoy the splurge when it's worth it but never like to return to locations we have previously visited (the world is just too big). Tugu is one of those places we would love to visit again though, if only for its uniqueness. One of the first things you'll hear on your intro is that Tugu is not for everyone and this is the kind of thing that makes me happy on holidays. Who wants to spend money to get holidays that are "for everyone"? In Tugu you will be taken care of individually. We stayed 4 nights at Dadap Merah on the Retreat package and definitely recommend the package to all. The room is unique and -frankly- perfect. We loved the rustic quirkiness of the resort and the kindness of all staff. Terima kasih and you again!Cuca: "Chef served ‘Bliss"
"Trying to decide where to eat can be a challenge in Bali with the increasing number of fabulous restaurants operating across the island. So when it comes to a restaurant of Cuca's style it's hard not to sound 'same - same' when saying how fabulous this resturant really is. From the moment you arrive at the resturant you're cocooned in a private oasis with the choice of a tranquil garden setting, to the striped back elegance of the dining room. The food! What can I say about the food. The most amazing food I've tasted. The Chefs selection was truely an onslaught of amazing flavours and textures. Each course was better than the previous. The portions were just right and left you wanting more. I can't recommend this resturant highly enough. It's worth the drive from Legian or Seminyak 70k (including a tip each way in taxi - cheaper in a car). The dinner with a bottle of Chilean wine was 200,000. Pure bliss. "The Hue House: "Beautiful Place in middle Sài Gòn"
"Unique architecture in the heart of Saigon. We had a good time here. Regional cuisine and above all you can enjoy Wine here with extremely beautiful space. Staff was nice and friendly. You will be thoroughly explained by the owner of the restaurant about detail of food. A nice restaurant so I will be back soon."Rachamankha: "So charming"
I'm always a regular customer at Rachamankha and have to stay here every time I visit Chiangmai. It's a very charming boutique hotel with around only 30 rooms, but the design, ambience, food, drink & service are all superb. You know right away once you step in the check-in area that the owner has taken great care of the place and every detail to make this a unique place has been considered. Don't ever miss your breakfast here as you'll be having breakfast served in an amazing set of vintage chinaware. The Apsara Rive Droite: "I think it’s the only place in town to stay"
"I travel a lot in Asia and this is one of my must stay hotels. it has one thing in spades and that's that elusive thing called style. The staff are great if a trifle dotty, the rooms are comfy, the wine list is amazing and the food is great. You won't find a better place in town to hang out. It might not be everyone's idea of luxury but I've never thought that luxury involved looking at in room tea and coffee making facilities. Room Tip: I like downstairs but them i'm nosey"Satri House: "Gorgeous hotel!"
We stayed at this hotel 4 nights and it was a very relaxing stay. The grounds are beautiful and the sculptures that are in the hotel and gardens are wonderful. The food at the hotel was good and I would recommend eating there one night. Loved Luang Prabang!
