"Absolutely amazing place! This was the house of a rich Chinese merchant which is/ has been restored to its former glory. We stayed for 3 nights in 2 different rooms: they were both gorgeous, dark wood/ white walls, Chinese furniture - all well appointed. Comfy beds. Breakfast was good and varied, some buffet items with other dishes on order (included in price). Small but perfectly formed pool area, with some rooms having direct access. There is a small museum as part of the hotel and tours are free for customers. Great staff too. The location is good for the city centre, about 5mn walk. There is a night food market next door with about 30 different stalls offering different foods: just grab a table, do a tour and order food - they will bring it to you. Entertainement is provided and well fun. Strongly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again!"Hotel Tugu Lombok: "So so good!"
"Slithered before deciding on this hotel over the OBEROI and so glad we did. A totally unique setting nd a place you could return to every year. The Manager was a delight and always seemed to pop up somewhere when you least expected it. This is not a run of the mill chain hotel . It is for real travellers who want to feel they are somewhere different. "Tiger mountain lodge is amazingly relaxing, an oasis of beauty and organisation and fantastic food in the midst of a fabulously beautiful environment. The chef is splendid, the walks wonderful and the people and enthusiasm for the locale and the villages something to behold. "We really enjoyed the experience. Far enough from noisy Moalboal. We stayed in a private house which was huge! On the hill with our own swimming pool. The place is quite with a big garden around full of bougainvillaea and facing the sea. The Resort is very intimate with only 5 accommodations. It keep this place quiet and charming, perfect to relax, even with kids. The staff who without exception provided us with wonderful service. Had an unforgettable one night with my family of 5 adults and 2 kids several weeks ago. Amazing serenity surrounded by beautiful mountainview and farm, in which the property host raises various kinds of fresh veggies and herbs. The rooms were equipped with comfortable beds, and the modern style shower was a pleasant surprise! My favorite part of the property...Rachamankha: "always a bliss"
"this place is always immaculate in terms of cleanliness, neatness, service, food, decorations, amenities, tableware, flowers, garden and every little detail that you hardly notice but it adds up to make this place very special. i always try new hotels in chiang mai but always end up back at rachamankha, this place is one of a kind. you can feel the love the owner has put in to it, i hope it will stay this way! "From the moment we arrive until checking out, this hotel has many touches that makes a guest feel special. They even print a post card with your name on it and put them in the bed before you arrive. One of the best attraction of Tugu Hotel is their art collection. There are so many nice painting, statues and art collection in their gallery. Ia also admire how they select the furniture and design the interior. Tugu Hotel most probably is the best hotel in Malang. They certainly is one of the best in Eastern Java. "This hotel was pretty special, we had a chalet style room with a verandah overlooking the lake with sun loungers, chairs and table. The room was excellent and the bathroom had ""his & her"" wash basins, a bath and an outside shower. There was a good restaurant, bar and swimming pool and we arrived by boat being rowed by the distinctive local leg rowing method. What a treat to eat a dinner here overlooking the Lily Pond! I got the Luang Prabang pork sausage to start and then the duck with tamarind sauce, both of which are excellent. They had a wide variety of wines and cocktails as well to complement your meal. Definitely worth a stop if you are a foodie in Luang Prabang!villa mathis: "Impeccable service in a stunning location"
"I stayed overnight at Villa Mathis (lombok room). The room is huge and very beautiful. The decor is sumptuous. My room had an office desk, which is perfect for laptop (work). The restaurant and the gardens/houses are interesting : there are statues, curtains, giant chairs and stone chess boards, as well as reading areas. - So much space!! The gardens are impeccably manicured. The staff is experienced but at the same time they are discreet. Breakfast is huge (too much:) and they have decent coffee. The bungalows are in what they call a ""villa""; grouped around a pool and open space living area. And everywhere you look, you can discover museum-like items.I didn't venture into the other areas but I understand that each bungalow is different. I was in an area called ""maison rouge"". Definitely a great romantic hotel. "
