MesaStila Resort and Spa: "Wonderful get away in central Java"
This is a wonderful resort set in the middle of a coffee plantation. A cool respite from the heat of Yogyakarta, the service in this resort is first rate, from the front desk to the restaurant etc. My wife indicated that the massage she received in the spa was one of the best she has ever had. The breakfasts were fabulous, the views awe-inspiring, and the arrange tour to the Borobudur temple was excellent. My only negative is that the fitness equipment was really second rate and not operational when I was there. But everything else was great!Tugu Bali: "A little jewel"
"The Hotel Tugu Bali is one of the best places I have ever staid in whilst traveling the world. The attention that is given to little details, like flower arrangements, candles, and even a little present on arrival & departure, was absolutely falttering. The staff is so friendly and sweet & make you feel special. Parts of the hotel are also museums & there are many limited collectors items you will not see anywhere else in the world. This is particularly charming as well. The hotel is located in beautiful Changgu, where a lot of the expats live, and which makes you be away from the hustle and busy bustle of Seminiak and Denpasar. You may want to consider renting a scooter to get around. There are many places to eat, and ithe beach is ideal for surfing. I had the suite with the private pool & I was in heaven :D I loved everything about Tugu Bali & put it very high on my recommendation list (and I am a picky person when it comes to hotels ;))"Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "beautifuly untouched island"

"Amazing, amazing, first class. Stunning, welcomed on the first day with red carpet, marigold garland and lunch on the lawn. Food fabulous, rooms are gobsmacking, beautiful, like a dream. Staff could not be more welcoming and friendly. Slept like a dream in a fairy tale bedroom. Unique lodging experience in the middle of paddy field. We stayed in a safari tent, reminded us of our high school days camping less the hardships. The interior was very elegantly decorated, thermal comfort was good. Hospitality was excellence but we had enough privacy. "Our first view of the 4 Rivers Floating Lodge from our boat was amazing and magical and this was only the start of a most wonderful few days staying in our luxurious floating tent with our own Sundeck and steps down to the river where we enjoyed marvellous swimming. The views in both directions along the river, over to the island and across the forest to the hills were glorious. "This may be the nicest hotel we have ever visited, and we have stayed at many special places around the world. The property is beautifully sited on the riverbank and the rooms are spectacular! Our room had a separate sitting area with an amazing bathroom and balcony overlooking the river. The staff was extremely helpful. We dined at the restaurant which was also amazing. Room Tip: River front rooms are amazing"
