Tugu Malang: "My home away from home"
"I was born and raised in Malang, but reside overseas the last 17 years. Whenever I visited my family, this is my go to hotel, without a doubt. This year only, they'll see me 3x, which each visit I stayed minimum 7 nights. I've been a repeat guest since several years ago. Few of Hotel Tugu employees know me by my first name. I have my favorite room, #211 (corner room, spacious with Alun Alun view) and Tugu Hotel always accommodate me so I could stay in that room every time I made a request. I don't think I've ever received such attentive and personalized service anywhere else. All the staff treated me with respect, and I don't think I've received different treatments than any other guest, westerners, or not. For that I'm very grateful. Such a high quality service. Location is the best. Many of public transportation routes will pass this area. I could hop on and off easily to other parts of this town. Specially to satisfy my old cravings for local specialties. It's only 5-10 minutes ride to Lumpia Hoklay, Pecel Kawi, Rawon Nguling, etc. earlier this year, I experienced the multiple days of public transportation strike in front of the city hall, which is located next door to this hotel. However, staying in wasn't a problem for me. Staff when above and beyond to accommodate my requests, multiple time on different visits. I'm so looking forward to my next stay in few months. "Villa Song Saigon: "Beatiful oasis just outside the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City"
This hotel is truly a little gem! We were glad to be close to the city when we chose to go in, but so glad to be able to come back to the peaceful and beautiful grounds of the Villa Song. From the time we checked in until we left, the staff was attentive, professional and very friendly. Excellent customer service! The room/bathroom was spacious, well decorated, spotless and had all the modern amenities. We ate several meals there and in each instance they were very good and the kitchen went out of their way in the presentation of the food. The menu was diverse and wine list comprehensive. A special shout out to Kevin who went out of his way to accommodate our special menu requests plus genuinely take an interest in the guests. This hotel truly deserves an excellent rating in all areas of operation!Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Lovely place for lunch"
After a busy morning sightseeing we were taken here for lunch. Sitting on the veranda overlooking the boats zipping up and down the canal this is a restful place to have lunch. We had the chicken cooked in coconut juice served wrapped in a banana, wonderful. This was followed by the most wonderful EVER banana cake, out of this world.THE SAMAR: "Very different and lovely"
"We booked this hotel quite a while ago and having read some of the more recent reviews I had started to get a little worried. I meed not have worried! We stayed here for 3 nights with our children (14&12). We were the only guests in the hotel at the time. We had two rooms which were joined by a living room and two large bathrooms. Beautiful. The hotel arranged our airport transfer which I would recommend. The pool is lovely and although they had problems with the filter at the time we stayed they had this fixed. The area around the pool is beautiful. The breakfast choice is limited but don't let that put you off the food was wonderful. I recommend the noodle soup. We ate lunch by the pool one day and it was beautifully presented and very tasty. All the staff were friendly and helpful. They organised a tuk tuk driver for us to take us to the temples. Chet was great, he would explain things to us and point places out on the way. He also took us to the silk factory one morning (well worth a visit). The girls were given a complimentary facial which they thoroughly enjoyed. I booked a full body scrub which was delightful. When we arrived back at our room each night the hotel had left us local cakes - this was such a sweet thought. The hotel is a little way out of the town but we enjoyed the peace that this gave and also the journeys in and out of the town - a great way to see a little more of the area. I would happily recommend this little gem to anyone. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"JL Studio: "新加坡主廚讓小吃變身高級料理的精彩之作"
Each dish is there some cultural background, creative chef also make this meal full of surprises, be sure to enjoy yourself to experience, is to let the taste buds are satisfied with the soul of a good restaurant :)Rahai’i Pangun: "Best jungle boat experience"
My first jungle experience in Borneo on a beautiful wood boat, excellent food and friendly staff. Loved it!Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Perfect desert island"
Heavenly escape. Stunning empty beaches and classy set up. Individual beach houses with a central clubhouse which served up delicious and sophisticated menu with a limited but daily changing menu. This is not for folk who like to dress up for dinner in their best clothes. But perfect for anyone looking for a trendy but very relaxed vibe. Each beach hut is owned by individuals so each one different. Huts on beach are lovely. Sea lulls you to sleep.Everything was gorgeous but in an understated way. Travelling with husband and two young adult kids and we all loved it. Spa good and bar had a pool table. Nothing much to do - no shopping or places to go. Just beach, snorkelling, market trips, a boat, yoga and total unwind. Great staff. Perfect if quiet and peaceful is what you're looking for.Tandjung Sari: "Nice surprise"
"We spent three nights in Tandjung Sari. Everything was excellent. The room very nice and confortable, the quality of the food very good. The building is very fascinating and rich of history. The garden beautiful and peaceful. We appreciated the quality of the service. The staff was very nice and friendly with our daughters. The path along the beach is very beautiful and you can enjoy the view in every moment of the day. It was a really nice surprise for us."Talabgaon Castle: "Unreal Experience"
"My wife and I recently visited this resort on our trip from San Francisco and could not have been happier with our stay. It is a beautiful property and the staff could not have been more hospitable. The grounds were beautifully maintained, the rooms were gorgeous and comfortable, and the food was fantastic. We stopped here for a night in between Agra and Jaipur. It is in the countryside so it is a very tranquil and peaceful setting when compared to the city. We were treated like royalty at this 200+ year old castle that was recently restored to this beautiful resort. The resort sits on 100 acres with expansive lawns, a pool, gardens, and a polo field. It is a perfect place to spend a night or two to unwind and get way from the hustle and bustle of India. 5+ stars across the board. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Villa Song Saigon: "Great location"
Extremely well run hotel, the staff are outstanding. The riverside location is peaceful and stunning. Shuttle or boat to town if you want the bustle. Restaurant is good, but could do with less European dishes and more Vietnamese dishes. Breakfast is excellent, have the Pho.
