Villa Song Saigon: "Superb hotel"
"This hotel is outstanding. The service is spot on without being obtrusive, the food delicious, the rooms light and airy and the pool so luxurious. A speedboat takes clients to and from the hotel to the city so it's a convenient relief to be able to come out of the bustle of the city at night. Room Tip: We were on the third floor overlooking the river. The room was cool light and airy and very spacious"Dewakan: "Well paced degustation menu, creative"
My husband and I took an American guest to Dewakan. We chose the 11 course tasting menu. I was looking forwards to being delighted, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is quiet, and comfortable and we were able to enjoy each course and exchange views on the myriad of tastes exploding in our mouths. I especially loved the Yoghurt & Roselle, which I thought was so well done since each taste emerged one after another. The explanation given by the maitre d' on the ingredients and how to eat each dish added to the enjoyment of the evening. It was easy to converse, given the wonderful presentation. I did not care too much for the duck, which although delicious, was a little rich for my preference. The red snapper was very good, and a little less saltiness may have brought it up to the level of sublime. Anyway, we had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the experience tremendously!Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Heavenly"
"This gem of a place in northern Kerala was like heaven on earth. Very elegant and huge rooms with an even more gorgeous bathroom. The beach (Arabian sea) was just perfect and very clean. The food served was really delicious and fresh. We did not take any of the guided tours offered, but I presume that is good as well. Overall, we had a perfect and peaceful holiday at Neeleshwar! "Maduzi Hotel: "Best hotel ever"
My hubby and I stayed at Maduzi on the last day of our honeymoon trip and this hotel made the end of our trip very pleasant. The location is good (some 5 mins of walk to the nearest stn), all the facilities and the huge bed were very clean and comfy, and the amanities provided smelled really sweet. Plus, the staff were sooo friendly and helpful that they even upgraded our room, knowing that we were honeymooners. Cannot describe enough how much we were satisfied with our stay at Maduzi! The only downside was the shower which was fixed on the wall or the ceiling.. somehow I felt uncomfortable with it. And yet, we will definitely go back!!"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "An amazing experience.."
"Firstly, my apologies, as my review comes in very late. We travelled as a family of 5 and had planned a one-night stay at Tiger Mountain in late March. The moment we stepped into the lodge, its location took our breath away. Looking down at the valley below and the clouds in the distance, my family was instantly taken with the property. I, of course, had ulterior motives, Tiger Mountain is renowned to be one of the best birding destinations in Nepal. We were welcomed very warmly by Jhalak, the property's customer service manager who gave us a complete overview of the property. We had arrived at lunchtime, so after taking our lunch (all freshly made, the highlight of which was the tomato chutney), we retired to our rooms where the view was equally marvelous if not more. (...)As my family had some specific food requirements, the hotel stage were kind enough us to whip us something when the regular meal choices didn't make sense. At night once the weather had settled, Hari brought me out to listen to the haunting call of the Mountain Scops Owl, and since I had a flashlight, he said I could try my luck to catch the eye shine of a wandering yellow-throated marten (no luck there!). Next morning, I was up again to go with Hari, and after a quick clouded view of the Himalayas, we were off. We saw many more species, including the Khaleej pheasant scurrying away from the owner's bungalow into the forest. Truly a birder's paradise this. Jhalak and all the other staff ensured throughout our stay that we were well looked after (Jhalak, I did mention you to Jitudai at Chitwan, he beamed brightly when he heard yours and Hari's name). All in all, a wonderful stay, cozy, relaxing and for an amateur birder, downright enjoyable :) "Amata Lanna: "Beautiful small hotel"
"I visited Thailand September 2016. I am behind finishing my reviews, but I enjoyed this hotel so much I wanted to make sure I shared my experience with others. The hotel is small, yet beautifully decorated, clean and vey comfortable. The staff was awesome- very friendly and accommodating, making good suggestions and helping arrange local travel when needed. Enjoyed breakfast in the atrium and the small dining area upstairs. We stayed here for 3 nights, and it was easy to get around the town either on foot or via taxi. There were restaurants within walking distance, and we were able to walk to one of the night markets. Great visit and would definitely stay here again. Stayed September 2016, traveled with family"Villa Song Saigon: "A peaceful Oasis"
"This beautiful hotel is set out of the bustling city of Saigon, located on the riverside. It is about a 20 minutes boat trip into district one of HCMC (provided free of charge by the hotel at selected times during e day). Approx. 50 mins drive from the airport (depending on time of day/traffic). The hotel is quiet and offers a relaxing and peaceful escape from the bustle and noise of the centre of HCMC. Very friendly staff, clean, large room (top floor), lovely pool area. Restaurant at back of hotel over looking river, lovely setting, food very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay and would recommend this for anyone wanting a retreat from the manic city centre. "Rahai'i Pangun Wildlife River Cruises: "a dive in pure nature"
"AMAZING! this is the feeling when you are on the beautiful Sekonyer Boat by Wow Borneo. In the middle of the jungle, with its humidity, light, sounds, colors, yet you feel comfortable on the boat, pampered by the crew... from food, to attentions ... and their eyes are so used to spot any animals that we managed to see orangutans, crocodiles, many birds and moneys, irrawaddy dolphins..."Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Book in for Lunch and tour"
"we came for the tour only (not hotel guests) but saw the sign for a well priced lunch in the dining room. At 65rbs is was fabulous. Setting, history and fusion of Asian and western flavours on the menu. An unexpected delight in hot weather tourism. ring prior as hear it is popular with cruise boat patrons."The Cabochon Hotel: "Classic eclectic"
"The furnishing and finish is exquisite. The surgical head lamps near the kitchen and classic England sink and toilet bowl are just some examples how the hotel endeavours to capture the past. The service from the hotel staff is the best out there. Limited number of rooms so you feel like you are the only guest here. Interesting breakfast layout where you can dine amongst the hotel lobby areas. Will definitely have fond memory of 45 sukhumvit road. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"
