Tugu Bali: "The most beautiful hotel in the world"

Review by: Viccsk | Source: tripadvisor.com
"I've been so lucky in my life to have stayed in many beautiful hotels, but this is by far my favourite and the most beautiful hotel in the world! The hotel feels so authentic - it's beautifully rustic but still luxurious. The staff are so so friendly, but still very polite and professional - I never once felt as though they were invading my personal space. The food at this hotel is pretty much my benchmark for amazing food - loved every single dish I tried at Tugu. Also loved their relaxed attitude to dining - they would do private dining for us which we could have in the room, on the beach, on the lawn, in the private rooms... pretty much where ever we wanted, it was so lovely. Tugu has so much charm - my husband and I felt totally at home hear and can't wait to go back... someday!"

Mrauk U Princess Resort: "Peaceful, very interesting"

Review by: ludlbk | Source: Trip Advisor
"The resort had just reopened after the rainy season and therefore there were not yet many guests. I find the property really beautiful, service was very attentive and the food delicious. Sightseeing in Mrauk Oo is best done with a guide. The pagodas are all within a relatively short distance from the resort (about 2 - 3 miles), the very interesting excursion to the Chin villages takes about 3 hours (car and boat). Personally, and like some other guests, I found Mrauk Oo more interesting than Mandalay. If you don't come with a guide, the resort can arrange the sightseeing for you. Prices are a bit higher than one might expect, but as this is one of the poorest states in the country, the resort has to order many supplies from Yangon to be able to deliver a high standard of service. Some of the staff are more proficient in English than others, but there is not much opportunity in the region to speak English. They are very keen to learn more and engaging them in short conversations, will be very helpful to improve their language skills. My stay was very peaceful, I really enjoyed the excellent service, the delicious food and the very interesting sightseeing,"

Tugu Malang: "Tempo Doeloe feeling"

Review by: Henk58 | Source: Trip Advisor
The hotel is a mixture of luxury and history. The rooms give a feel of the "good" (only for the Dutch) colonial old times, with the hand hammered baths. And the whole atmosphere is the hotel is friendly and service minded. The for is excellent and the hotel itself has a fantastic mix of antiquities within its walls (Chinese (most), Dutch and Indonesian. It was a pleasure going to the rooms with my 17 year old daughter and see her recognize drawings and pictures of Kublai Kahn and Sun Yat Sen. Great hotel.

David’s Kitchen: "Fantastic service"

Review by: Luis F | Source: Trip Advisor
For my honeymoon I wanted to take my wife to a nice restaurant while in chiang Mai. I was extremely surprised on the amazing service this restaurant offered while we were there. The whole time there was an experience, from their very well enthusiastic staff to David himself catering to our every need. Our table was decorated and had a sign congratulating us on our honeymoon. At the end of our service they gave my wife roses and said it was from me. She was extremely happy that I took her there and enjoyed every moment. Thank you for providing us with A stellar service.

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "“Beautiful resort – well suited for relaxation”"

Review by: Chan S | Source: Trip Advisor
"During our 1800km TukTuk challenge from Mumbai to Kanyakumari, we had a two night stay at the resort. On arrival at the hotel after a tiring rickshaw drive, we were greeted and offered fresh coconut water as welcome drink. We were fortunate to have a rest day at the tranquil resort - far from the madding crowd. The accommodation/bungalows were clean and well furnished. The food was good and staff very friendly, courtious and eager to help. It has a clem beach and swimming in the sea was very enjoyable. It's the place to go to for a quiet, restful and relaxing holiday. We also had a 'thank you' card from the manager before we departed - you don't see this often. We would love to go there again for a longer stay. Stayed November 2016, traveled with friends"

The Village House: "Great great Staff and Hotel out of Kuching"

Review by: keutch | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed at village house for 3 night for the ester week end. First the place is charming, tastily decorated and the room and bathroom are really clean. But the second point and what made this stay so great was the service and the staff! A big thank you to Alifa, Flora and Eleesa for taking such a good care of us! Great advice and help to visit around Santubong village and some talk about the culture of Borneo. And a big congrats to the Chef (that call him just a cook, you should not when you are serving a 8 course menu ...) really talented and worth paying more than the Food court few km from the hotel (by the way run away from damai beach resort). So to sum up, definitely a place that i recommend 100%, great for a week end gateway from Singapore or as a step into your travel in Asia! "

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "One of my favorite places to stay in the world"

Review by: kellyj415 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I've been very fortunate to travel widely for work and play, and this place ranks in my top 5 or 10 places to stay worldwide. It's an absolute gem and oasis of customer service, calm, beauty and culture built in a picturesque spot in the southwest part of Inle Lake. Inle Lake is a very special place in and of itself, kind of like Myanmar's Venice, but Thahara takes it to the next level and executes flawlessly with every detail — location, architecture, interior design, landscaping, amenities and excursions, food and drink, housekeeping, etc. I also really liked their ethos around cultural preservation and teaching/training the next generation of tourism service people. Room Tip: All rooms are the same and excellent."

Inle Princess Resort: "A few suggestions"

Review by: Timothy C | Source: Trip Advisor
"I don't need to say much more about the quality of this hotel or the beauty of its location. Go to Myanmar. Go to Inle Lake. Stay at the Inle Princess. Here, though, are a few tips for those who do follow the directives above: 1. Take advantage of the complimentary shoe shine. 2. There really isn't any charge for the beer in the mini-bar. 3. The hotel leaves earplugs in the room (presumably for those whose sleep might be disturbed by frogs and lizards). You may not need the earplugs during the night, but hold onto them, because they are very useful on the boats, which have very loud outboard motors. 4. The boat tour of the lake is essential. Make sure to include a visit to a local market. The basic boat tour lasts for one day, but it is a very long day (especially if you start with the market), so you should consider splitting the tour and doing it over two days. 5. When you visit the village of the silversmiths, avoid the large shop at the entrance to the village -- the one with the tiny workshop staffed by ""brothers"" who play with their cell phones until a tourist boat arrives and a large showroom stuffed with overpriced silver that must come from China. 6. The artisanal workshops on the village side of the hotel are definitely worth a visit. 7. Eat the Shan noodles for breakfast -- order them the evening before."

The Island Lodge: "2 days in Heaven !"

Review by: Isabelle R | Source: Trip Advisor
"After a bad experience in what was called a 4* hotel in Ben Tre with the worst tour ever, I ended up at Island lodge and everything changed at the moment I arrived there. Perfection ! Food, room, huge clear pool overlooking the Mekong river and its ballet of boats, spa, all is above expectations and most of all the tour proposed are really fonction of your askings. I am very thankful to the owner, Michel, and his really fantastic team, to have done everything in 3 days to make a success of my trip in this area. I will come again and stay longer because there are so many options to discover even more !"

Still owned by a member of the Royal family, you can definitely meet elegance, peace, magic and luxury charme with a perfect service. Moreover, is not too expensive compared to other famous Hotel chains nearby.. i definitely recommend to choose it and to dine there with such an incredible view! I will come back for sure."
