4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Floating Paradise in the Jungle – Outstanding Service and Amazing Location"

Review by: Fiona C | Source: tripadvisor.com
"There are so many wonderful things about this hotel; the location, the staff, the activities, the atmosphere…. (…)The rooms are beautiful – poshest tent I have ever stayed in, and it really is floating – you can feel a gentle movement at night time and when people walk past – which I really liked. The people that work at the hotel and as trip guides are all mostly all from the local island opposite and surrounding village area which gave the whole experience a real charm. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful - it really was a perfect paradise. The hotel manager arranged our transport back to Phomn Penh for us (we opted for a shared VIP bus on the way back - which was $15 each and took about 5 hours). One of the members of staff waited with us in Tatai village until the mini bus arrived and loaded our bags etc… - truly exceptional and helpful service. One of the main highlights has to be waking up and diving straight into the river from your personal deck and also kayaking around the islands! This is an incredible experience not to be missed! "

The Cabochon Hotel and Residence: "My best hotel – nice to come back"

Review by: sundari8 | Source: Trip Advisor
This was my second stay. The staff remembered me and welcomed me again. I felt like I come back to my home. Sophisticated interior, food, flowers, aroma, and especially friendly staff. Everything I love with this hotel was still there. I travel a lot in the world and this is my best hotel.

Bassac Cruises: "An experience not to be missed"

Review by: Treasaig | Source: Trip Advisor
"Boarded the Bassac at Cai Be, a well organised tour, food excellent, the varying scenery of the Mekong terrain makes you wonder how any army (even the USA) would even consider trying to subdue the residents. The was of life as explained by An the guide was an eye opener - they must be 100 years behind the rest of the country. A revelation. Guide An was excellent."

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Very enjoyable stay"

Review by: liveforholidays-44 | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed here as we were wanting to stay somewhere environmentally aware & we were very happy with the camp etc. The meals we're fantastic, the chef was really to be commended he did a fabulous job. The one observation I would make is that the safaris are focused on finding leopards as you would expect, so if you are interested in viewing other animals speak up. Overall a great experience.

Tugu Malang: "Wonderful Heritage Hotel"

Review by: sophmob | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is a 5 star hotel and more on the expensive side. We stayed here two nights and were very content. The reason we decided to stay here was because they have a room that the first president of Indonesia, Sukarno, used to stay in. You can see his room on request. They also have a lot of historical indonesian objects on display like a full gamelan set which you also get to play, an original tea room with complimtary teatime and snacks, breakfast was included and you have the choice between continental breakfast and indonesian breakfast (both are excellent). Our room was pristine with crisp linen sheets and has ac. The shower and toilet is outside and feels very exotic with all the plants. On your arrival you get a complinentary drink and fruit. The staff is very friendly and help you with anything you need. What we especially liked about the hotel was that all the packaging wasn't plastic. They used natural material. We would definetely stay here again if we could."

Sukoon Houseboat: "Lovely experience!"

Review by: fran1171 | Source: Trip Advisor
I've spent 3 nights on Sukoon Houseboat together with my father to start our trip through India and it was a fantastic experience! The houseboat has 5 comfortable rooms, authentic but with all modern comfort and well-equipped bathrooms. We wer lucky to meet the owner, mr Chapri, a very friendly man with whom we had interesting conversations. All stafmembers are very friendly and their service is impecable and of a high level. For diner, let the chef surprise you and you will be overwhelmed! Definetely the best choice for your stay on Dal Lake!

David’s Kitchen: "Excellent service, even better food!"

Review by: Alexis A | Source: Trip Advisor
My experience at David's Kitchen was nothing short of amazing. It is not very often that the owner of a restaurant is the first one to greet you at the door. David welcomed us with open arms and went out of his way to make a personal connection with both my aunt and I. The service was incredible from the moment we sat down, and the drinks were even better! Throughout the dinner David stopped by twice to see how the food was and to make sure we were having a great time. The highlight of our dinner was definitely the Beef Cheeks- so tender and rich it melts in your mouth! I would highly recommend checking out David's Kitchen if you are in Chiang Mai.
